Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of capital, labor, and working hours on merchant income in Surabaya Puncak Permai Modern Market in 2019. The data used is the Cross Section with a sample size of 78. To analyze the authors use the method of multiple linear regression with the program eviews 6.0. partially the results of the real-level regression (α = 10%) capital significantly influence the income of traders with a positive coefficient of 0.615779 and probability 0.0000, labor has a significant effect on trader income with a positive coefficient of 2436698. and probability 0.0000, working hours does not significantly influence the income of traders with a positive coefficient of 515060.5 and a probability of 0.3232. Simultaneously the results of the study indicate that the variables of capital, labor and working hours have a significant effect on merchant income. With a F-Statistical probability value of 0.0000. This means that capital and labor have a positive influence on merchant income, while working hours have no significant effect on merchant income.

Abstract

The clay industry in Godean Distric existed due to proximity of its raw material. The clay industry has been established since 1930 and began to stop producing. The strategy is needed to maintain the sustainability of this production activity. The aim of this research is to formulate the sustainable strategy using the SWOT analysis. The SWOT analysis is formulated with internal and external factors that influence the sustainability of this industry. The data is analized with descriptive qualitative technique using IFAS Table, EFAS Table, IE Matrix, and SWOT Matrix. The results show that the internal factors are management, the product reputation, inovation, capital, labour, raw material, and business sucessors. The external factors are market, the existance of Asosiasi Pengrajin Genteng, government policies, suppliers and distributors, and competitors. The right strategy to maintain the sustainability of the clay industry is to avoid losing profit and extend the market. One of right way to do is making the own brand.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the effects of innovation and technology on economic growth in Asian countries in 2000-2017, and to analyse the different impacts perceived in upper-middle-income countries and lower- middle-income countries in Asia. This study uses data published by the World Bank and WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) and uses panel data regression. Patent applications have significant effects on economic growth, both in upper and lower middle-income countries. meanwhile, R&D expenditure has an insignificant effect on economic growth in both clusters. Moreover, estimation results from three other independent variables: FDI, export, and labour show that these three variables have a significant effect on the real GDP of 18 Asian Countries in 2000 - 2017. The results of his study indicate that there is no significant difference of the effects of innovation and technology toward economic growth between upper-middle-income countries and lower-middle-income countries.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of electronic money transactions on the velocity of money in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative research approach using quarterly time series data for the 2010q1-2018q4 period. Using variable velocity obtained from Gross Domestic Product (GDP) divided by M2, electronic money transactions, GDP per capita, and interest rates using the Error Correction Model (ECM) method. The results show that in the long run variable electronic money transactions, income levels and interest rates are significantly positive. In the short term, interest rates and income levels are significantly positive, while electronic money transactions only have a slight effect on the velocity of money in Indonesia.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the biggest producer of cacao beans in the world. Export tariff policy on cacao bean and countries trade agreement was expected can increase the processed of cacao export. This research aims to analyze the competitiveness and the determinants of which affect the processed cacao export in AANZFTA Region countries. Based on RCA anaylsis, the processed cacao has been comparative advantage, and its EPD analysis show that Indonesia's processed cacao mostly in falling star and retreat condition. The result of regression analysis panel data showed that the export of cacao paste was affected significantly by exchange rate, Indonesia's export competitiveness, and free trade area policy. Cacao butter was affected significantly by exchange rate, Indonesia's export competitiveness, and free trade area policy. Cacao powder was affected significantly by gross domestic product total, exchange rate, Indonesia's export competitiveness, and free trade area policy.
