Abstract

Rice price disparity at the farmer and consumer level is large. This study analyzes the movement and transmission of rice pricer at the producer and consumer level between regions in Indonesia. The data used in this study is data on rice and beef prices at the producer and consumer level from 2010 to 2017. The method used in the analysis is the Error Correction Model (ECM). The movement of rice between regions in Indonesia fluctuated throughout the period 2010- 2017. The price of rice at the producer level is more volatile than the price of rice at the consumer level. Transmission of rice prices at the consumer level to prices at the producer level occurs asymmetrically, both in the short term and in the long run. In producer- consumer relations, the transmission of rice prices at the producer level to prices at the consumer level occurs asymmetrically in the short term, but symmetrically in the long run.

Abstract

This study examines the strategies used by MSMEs in order to survive and grow back during the Covid19 pandemic. The research object was 37 thousand MSME actors who experienced the direct impact of the pandemic. The method used is literature study. This research reveals that during a pandemic, consumers almost forget their brand, so communication through digital advertising will increase brand awareness again. Digital behavior encourages the expansion of online consumers, no longer to the millennial generation. Several MSMEs have gone bankrupt. But not a few who finally got up and then grew. MSMEs change production operations by reducing the amount of production and at the same time making innovations to increase competitiveness. On the other hand, the massive use of digital marketing has been carried out to increase customer awareness. Marketplace as a manifestation of e-commerce is used as an innovation or change in sales methods. Keywords: E-commerce, SMEs, Digital Marketing, Sustainability Business JEL: L60; L81; M31

Abstract

The issue of currency unification among ASEAN countries is often the concern of researchers given the reactive conditions of ASEAN countries to the 1997/1998 crisis and the 2008 financial crisis. This study aims to analyze the impact of ASEAN currencies (rupiah, ringgit, Singapore dollar, baht and peso) against shocks in other ASEAN countries. The concept of this study uses an exchange rate approach based on (peg) the currencies of ASEAN countries with the US Dollar and Singapore Dollar. In addition, this research aims to analyze the symmetrical response of currencies to shocks to currencies of other countries. The research method approaches the short and long-term vector autoregression (VAR) model using the monthly real exchange rate variable data from 1990 - 2018.The results of the impulse response function show that the response of ASEAN countries' currencies (rupiah, ringgit, Singapore dollar, baht and peso) is more symmetric base (peg) currency with the Singapore dollar compared to the US dollar. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of macroeconomic variables on the risk of non-performing loans with case studies in Emerging Markets Asia in the period 2010 to 2018. The risk of non-performing loans representing banking stability is measured using Non-Performing Loans (NPLs). Meanwhile, macroeconomic variables that represent economic stability consist of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Exchange Rates, Loan Interest Rates, Inflation, and Domestic Credit to Private Sector. Data obtained online through the World Development Indicator Database is then estimated using dynamic panel regression or Generalized Method Of Moment (GMM). The results of this study indicate that the variable GDP, Exchange Rate, and Inflation negatively affect NPL. Meanwhile, variable interest rates on loans and the Domestic Credit to the Private Sector have a positive effect on NPLs. Keywords: Macroeconomic Variables, Non Perfoming Loan, GMM JEL: C30; F40
