Abstract

Based on the number of visitor to Ceking, it is known that only 3% which includes stay over night visitor, while the rest are one day visitors. These Conditions indicated tourism in Ceking have not optimally contribution to local economic communities due to the gap between actual and potential visitors spending. The gap is caused by leakage, which occurs by ineffectiveness and inadequate management of resources and market of tourism. In order to optimize economic contribution to the local community, some programs of tourism development in Ceking can be initiated. These programs include; cultural nuances of rural tourism development (village tourism), the development of rural night attractions, the development of core - plasma models between the hotel with a home stay, the utilization of local raw materials in the tourism products, the traditional transport development, potential market development and marketing partnership with a travel agent.

Abstract

Pancasari village having beautifully natural potency with its uniqueness has been determined by the government as Kawasan Daya Tarik Wisata Khusus (KDTWK). KDTWK is a concept of developing a tourism destination for the conserving purpose. In fact, however, the management of the destination is still inadequate. It can be seen trough the problems faced in executing tourism activities in that village. It is, therefore required to review the potencies owned by such tourism destination. It consist of how the involvement of all stakeholders and determine appropriate strategies to develop the tourism object based on the concept to achieve the aims of KDTWK. In order to answer the above problem, a qualitative research and simple SWOT analysis were applied in this research, such as observation, interview and library analysis. An observation sheet was used to record everything observed by the researcher and interview guides were produced to find the answer of all problems. Physical potencies owned by Pancasari village are including lake, village atmosphere, gardening, farming and forest. Non physical ones are among others : the villagers with their ways of life and custom, as well as the culture that are still maintained in their lives. The involvement of stakeholders, still needs to be well coordinated. It can be seen from the negative phenomenon happened during the tourism activities.

Abstract

Tourist satisfaction is an accomplishment of tourist expectation. It needs long process, time and is often expensive. In service industries especially food and beverage services, customer satisfaction becomes success parameter. The researcher took five factors of restaurant’s product, foods and beverages through four variables, service  through seven variables, cleanliness and hygiene through three variables, price through three variables, and atmosphere through five variables. This research was done in freestanding restaurants in Nusa Dua Tourism Area that are located in Bali Collection inside BTDC area, on Pantai Mengiat Street and Main Gate BTDC outside of BTDC Area. In this research, there were 110 respondents selected as a sample using purposive sampling method. Data was collected by using questioners spreaded to the tourists who were trying the product in freestanding restaurants. Data analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis and determinant analysis with SPSS program version 19.0. The research findings are: a) the level of tourists satisfaction toward freestanding restaurants’ product in Nusa Dua Tourism Area  is generally  satisfied enough, b) The five factors in this research have their own influence towards tourists satisfaction on freestanding restaurants’ product, but the factor which has the strongest influence is service factor, and the smallest influence is price factor, and c) there are the differences between tourist who try the product inside BTDC and outside BTDC and tourist group inside BTDC are more satisfied than the outside ones.
