Abstract

In an effort to improve the competitiveness of the company, an approach is needed to determine customer expectations. This study aims to determine service characteristics that have not met customer expectations and provide advice on improving the quality of care services for elevators and escalators. The method used is ServQual to measure customer expectations and perceptions. Information was collected through a questionnaire in the research focus group. The results of this study are a number of 21 indicators in 5 dimensions of ServQual showing customer expectations greater than customer perceptions. Then continued observation and interviews with the management to make technical responses in an effort to improve service quality. The findings in this study can help management in improving service quality to improve customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The analytical Hierarchy process (AHP) is a multicriteria decision making approach can be used to solve complex decision problems. This study aimed to use this objective tool to build ship fuel suppliers' selection model, utilizing competitive priorities administrative requirement, quality, delivery, finance, technical and price as an evaluation and selection criteria. The researcher has developed an evaluation questionnaire distributed to couple functional managers in the shipping company. This study concluded that the price is the most important criterion among competitive priorities criteria for selecting and evaluating suppliers as it got a percentage of 0.202, followed by technical criterion that got a percentage of 0.197 and finance got 0,191. Other criterion was quality that got 0.169 followed by delivery with 0.133 and the last criterion was administrative requirement with 0.108.

Abstract

Easier access to the global marketplace today makes local product competition with products from the global market increasing, pushing designers better to make machines as efficient as possible while still paying attention to their reliability. In obtaining good reliability, from the design stage of the machine and its manufacture must have root cause analysis that can help to guide design and manufacturing processes. However, for renewable energy fields, it is very difficult to build from the beginning as raw materials come from overseas acquired in the global market. In the domestic raw material is processed creatively to gain added value of the product and make it a superior product that is installed and marketed locally. Photovoltaic monitoring will independently keep the grid stable and conceptual able to monitor the health of every photovoltaic photo for its reliability can also be maintained. Good design with good manufacturing will also increase the reliability of solar power plants, with the appropriate field-based design and appropriate installation procedures in the root analysis of the problem increase significant reliability.

Abstract

Every industry is no exception, the battery industry has a quality standard with priority to reduce reject claims in order to get cost savings and increase consumer confidence. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors causing the high reject claim of bengkok market plate with six sigma (DMAIC) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) suppression. The result is a corrective step and standardization to minimize the occurrence of a reject plate group in the future. DMAIC stages include Define, through sampling data collection in Jan-Dec 2016, it is known that the reject claim from Plate Bending is 41 PPM. Step 2 Measure, process reject data and number of claim reject and set improvement targets. Step 3 Analyze, benchmarking cassette A and Cassette B types from the results of FTA analysis, Step 4 Improve, set and standardize changes in dimensions of Cassette Type B by changing the partition part edge L and edge R from C3mm to R4mm from the value of Cp = 1.58, Cpk = 0.63 becomes Cp 2.32 and Cpk 2.23. Step 5 Control, after getting the specified dimensions the value of 29.5 ppm drops to 4 ppm with a target standard of 18 ppm and a decrease in the cost saving of the company is 455.5 KUSD/Year.

Abstract

Companies always try to reduce inventory to make capital turnover running smoothly and don’t want to keep the inventory long time. However, inventory cannot be directly reduced as low as there are risks for production that can be material shortages and the can lose the sales. It is necessary to control the business to obtain the optimum inventory value. This research discusses the material inventory problem in air conditioner (air conditioner) which aims to find out efficient inventory control method in order to reduce total inventory cost. This research uses probabilistic EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method. The focus of the problem studied is the inventory of compressor materials that contribute most to the value of purchases and the resulting inventory. This research tries to give optimal EOQ value for every order, ROP (Reorder Point), safety stock and total inventory cost. Based on the calculation the total inventory cost of the compressor material calculated using this probabilistic EOQ method resulted in a total cost reduction of 8.2% compared to the total inventory cost generated by company policy.

Abstract

One Door Integrated ServiceUnit (PTSP) was established to improve the quality of public service delivery and the investment climate in the regions of Indonesia, particularly in the field of licensing services. The purpose of this study is to identify the variables that affect the quality of licensing government service and provide recommendations for corrective action. In this research, the integration of Fuzzy-Service Quality and QFD (Quality Function Deployment)method is one of TQM quantitative tools and techniques that can be used to translate customer requirements in Voice of customer (VOC) with specification in the appropriate technical or service requirement. The use of questionnaires, based on servqual dimension i.e. tangibles,r eliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy contains 27 statements as attributes of service, conducted to know the voice of customer to 135 respondents i.e. the citizens who use licensing service in UPPTSP West Jakarta administration. The results showed that there are 11 service attribute priorities that need to be improved and 14 technicalr esponses to answer the needs of these consumers.

Abstract

PT. GP is a pharmaceutical company producing pharmaceuticals in solid, semi-solid and liquid form such as   creams and ointments. PT GF has problem in set up time and stop by touble machine during the process   running caused inefficien time.  This problem need improvement action so that company could go running more effecient. The purpose of this research is to get appropriate action and method for reducing the set up time by SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies mehod).  SMED applied by separating the activity set up into two stages of the internal set up and external set up.  SMED succesfully decrease in set up time of 26%.

Abstract

The purpose of research is to know and analyze the strength and direction of influence customer relationship marketing and after sales service to customer satisfaction at PT AUTO 2000 Daan Mogot. This type of research used is quantitative research with explanative design. The sample was taken by accidental sampling technique with 69 respondents. Data obtained through questionnaires developed based on indicators of each variable and measured by Likert scale. Data were analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results showed that: (1) customer relationship marketing partially significant effect on customer satisfaction (2) after sales service partially significant effect on customer satisfaction and (3) simultaneously, customer relationship marketing and after sales service significantly influence customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The warehouse is one part of the supply chain that plays an important role in PT. Garuda Maintenance Facility (GMF), because the warehouse stores the components of the material used for aircraft maintenance activities. However, a number of problems in the warehouse caused the process in the warehouse to be less than optimal. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential for improvement of warehousing management at PT. GMF. In the early stages, fishbone diagrams are used to identify the main causes of problems that occur in PT. GMF is related to five factors, namely the labor factor (man), method (method), material, machine (equipment), and environment. Furthermore, a failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) approach is implemented to get priority improvements. The results of the analysis found that the use of wireless technology, the application of capacity check functions and monitoring and training functions are needed to improve warehousing management at PT. Garuda Maintenance Facility.

Abstract

The improvement of productivity is a wise way to fulfill market demand at this competitive era. However, still found facts on field a problem in formulating it, especially to the process with variations. Un-standardized process can lead to ineffective productivity measuring. Wrong measurement could affects to wrong the decision making. This paper was aimed to present real correction to productivity formulation, also the combination of MUDA elimination in an improvement. 5S concept, also emphasized in this effort as other tools in Japanese improvement perspective, KAIZEN. The method used in this research was field study and their related references, including seminar. The result of this research is to describe what exact formulation and elimination of MUDA can be used as the tools to improve productivity at a production line. Through field and literature study, with correct formulation, the productivity of a production line can be effectively and clearly displayed. A Significant improvement can be shown clearly as well.
