Abstract

Based on the information from the students of SMP Negeri 2 Pleret Bantul District, students are less conducive to the learning environment, as well as learning styles about students’ learning motivation is low. This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between students’ learning environment, learning style and learning motivation the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Pleret Bantul District in the odd semester in the academic year of 2016/2017. The population of the research is all student's regular classes VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Pleret Bantul District of the odd semester in the academic year of 2016/2017 as many as 7 classes. Taken as a class VIII G class research sample by random sampling technique to class. Data collection techniques such as questionnaires and test engineering. Questionnaire research instrument for the variables of students’ learning environment, variable learning style, and variable learning motivation while research instrument outcome variables studied mathematics. Test using a research instrument validity, different power, and reliability testing. Analysis prerequisite test including normality test, independent test and linearity test. Data analysis for hypothesis testing using product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between (1) the learning environment of students with mathematics learning outcomes, with R = 0.4317; (2) learning style with mathematics learning outcomes, with R = 0.5145; (3) learning motivation with mathematics learning outcomes, with R = 0.4012; (4) the learning environment of students and learning style with mathematics learning outcomes, with R = 0.5728; (5) students' learning environment and learning motivation with mathematics learning outcomes, with R = 0.4632; (6) learning style and learning motivation with mathematics learning outcomes, with R = 0.5725; (7) the learning environment of students, learning style and learning motivation with mathematics learning outcomes, with R = 0.5874 and the linear regression equation  = -60,3895 + 0,2665  + 0,8747  + 0,5304 . Large donations are relatively  = 21,7776%,  = 58,7420%  and  = 19,4804% and the effective contribution  = 7,5134%, = 20,2664% and = 6,7209%. This shows that the way of learning style (x2) have a greater relationship to mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are determined by many factors. How to learn, mathematical communication and learning tools are several factors related to student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine whether or not there is a positive and significant relationship between learning methods, mathematical communication, and learning tools with mathematics learning outcomes for students of class VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta odd semester 2016/2017 academic year. The population in this study were eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta 2016/2017 academic year, consisting of classes VIIIA, VIIIB, VIIIC, VIIID totaling 104 students. Samples were taken from class VIIIB as a class of research samples with random sampling techniques to the class. Data collection techniques used a questionnaire method to obtain data on learning methods and learning tools, as well as test methods to obtain mathematical communication data and mathematics learning outcomes. Research instrument test: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Analysis prerequisite tests include normality test, linearity test, and independence test. Data analysis uses product moment analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between ways of learning, mathematical communication, and learning facilities with mathematics learning outcomes of VIII grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta Odd Semester 2016/2017 Academic Year. This was indicated by Fcount  Ftable that  is 4,692 > 3,05 with R = 0,6252 and R2 = 0,391 with , with SR, SR  and SR , SE=, SE  and SE .

Abstract

The low student mathematics learning outcomes are influenced by many factors. Parental attention, social environment, and learning independence are some of the factors that are thought to influence student learning outcomes in mathematics. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of finding out whether there was a positive and significant relationship between parents' attention, social environment and learning independence with mathematics learning outcomes for students of class VIII odd semester of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta 2016/2017 school year. The population in this study were all eighth-grade students of Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta Middle School 2016/2017 academic year consisting of 5 classes with a total of 182 students. As the sample class VIII D consisting of 36 students using random sampling techniques to the class. The data collection technique was carried out using a questionnaire method for parents' attention, social environment and learning independence. As for the test method for student mathematics learning outcomes. The instrument test uses validity and reliability tests. The analysis prerequisite test uses a normality test, independent test, and linearity test. Analysis of hypothesis testing data uses simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression and correlation analysis. The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation among parents' attention, social environment and learning independence with mathematics learning outcomes with Fcount = 9,70 > Ftable = 2,90 multiple correlation coefficient (R) is 0,69 and the multiple determination coefficient (R2) is 0,48. While the multiple regression equation is , relatively contribution (X1) = 62,34%, the relative contribution (X2) = 19,18%, the relative contribution (X3) = 18,48% and effective contribution (X1) = 29,68%, the effective contribution (X2) = 9,13%, and the effective contribution (X3) = 8,80%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation, student discipline and student learning responsibilities with mathematics learning outcomes of XI IPS students in the even semester of SMA Negeri 1 Pleret Bantul Regency 2015/2016 Academic Year. The population of this study were all students of class XI IPS even semester of SMA Negeri 1 Pleret Bantul Regency in the 2015/2016 Academic Year consisting of 3 classes with a total of 72 students. Samples were taken by random sampling technique and obtained class XI IPS 2 as a sample class. Data collection techniques were carried out using the test and questionnaire method. The test method was used to collect data on student learning outcomes, while the questionnaire method was used to collect learning motivation, student discipline, and responsibility data, answer learning. The instrument test uses a validity test, a different power test, and a reliability test. Analysis prerequisite test is a normality test, independent test, linearity test. Data analysis for hypothesis testing uses correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation, student discipline and learning responsibilities with learning outcomes  dan so obtained . The multiple correlation coefficient (R) of 0.5998 with the regression equation  the relative contribution of X1 = 32.984%, X2 = 35.149%, X3 = 31.867% with a double determination coefficient (R2) 0.3598 and effective contribution X1 = 11.868%, = 12.664%, X3 = 11.467%.

Abstract

This research was conducted on the grounds that there were still many students who were less active and initiative in making decisions to solve problems because students only copied from the teacher's example and waited for the teacher's instructions to solve the problems. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the PMRI Approach (Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education) Against Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan Sleman Regency Even Semester Academic Year 2015/2016. The research design uses Posttest-Only Control Design. The population in this research is the eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan. The research sample was taken using a random sampling technique obtained by class VIII D as an experimental class and VIII B as a control class. Data collection is done by the test method. The instrument testing used validity tests, different power tests, and reliability tests. Data analysis techniques using analysis prerequisite tests include normality test with Chi-Square formula, homogeneity test with Bartlett test, and hypothesis testing with t-test. Based on calculations of the significant level  and 67 degrees of freedom could be concluded that: (1) there were different result of Mathematics study between the students who used the learning of PMRI approach and the students who used traditional learning approach. This case showed from the result of the first hypothesis test is . (2) learning by using the PMRI approach more effective than using a traditional learning approach. This case showed from the result of the second hypothesis test is .

Abstract

The Learning model applied in SMP Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul featured still tends to be teacher’s centered and makes students become passive in the process of learning so that student learning outcomes are still low. Jigsaw is one of many kinds of teaching and learning model which provides opportunities to the students to be actively involved in the class activity. The objectives of this research are (1) to know the diversities in the math learning marks of the eighth-grade students which are taught using the conventional learning model in the odd semester of SMP Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul in the academic year of 2016/2017, (2) to know the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model type Jigsaw towards the conventional learning model to the eighth-grade students in the odd semester of SMP Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul in the academic year of 2016/2017. This research used the quantitative research method. The population of the research was the eighth-grade students in the odd semester of SMP Unggulan ‘Aisyiyah Bantul in the academic years of 2016/2017. To obtain the sample, this research used the random sampling technique. As the sample, this research managed the VIII B class as the Experiment Class and VIII A as the Controlled Class. A test was applied for the data collecting technique of this research. To calculate the instrument validity and reliability, this research used the product-moment correlation and the Alpha formula. The data analyzing technique of this research are the t-test, the normality test used the Chi-Quadrate formula, and the homogeneity test used the Bartlett test. Based on the research findings at the 5% significance level and a degree of freedom of 39, thus the accumulations are (1) ttable= 1,6835 and tcount = 2,2470. It collected tcount>ttable so H0 is rejected. Henceforward, there are diversities in the math learning marks of the students who were taught using the cooperative learning model type Jigsaw towards those which were taught using the conventional learning model. (2) ttable= 1,6835 and tcount= 2,2470, collected tcount>ttableso H0 is rejected. To put it briefly, the cooperative learning model type Jigsaw is more effective than the conventional learning model towards math learning marks.

Abstract

The selection of learning models that are less precise can affect student learning success. Learning in SMP N 1 Srandakan is still centered on the teacher so students tend to be passive in class. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in students' mathematics learning outcomes by using the NHT type of cooperative learning models as well as knowing the effectiveness of the NHT type cooperative learning models for student mathematics learning outcomes. The design of this study is Subjects Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were students of class VIII of SMP N 1 Srandakan Regency of Bantul in the 2015/2015 academic year with a total of 190 students. Samples in this study were taken using a random sampling technique obtained by class VIII D as an experimental class and class VIII E as a control class. Data collection is done by the test method. Testing instruments using the test the validity of the different power tests and reliability tests. Data analysis techniques using analysis prerequisite tests include normality test with Chi-Square formula, homogeneity test with Bartlett test, and hypothesis testing with t-test. Based on calculations with a significant level α = 5% and degrees of freedom 62, it can be concluded that: (1) There are differences in mathematics learning outcomes between students who use the NHT type of cooperative learning models and students who use the direct learning model. This is indicated by the results of the first hypothesis test that  = 2.3802 and  = 1.99897, so > . (2) The NHT type of cooperative learning model is more effective than the direct learning model. This is shown from the results of the second hypothesis test that  = 2.3802 and = 1.6698, so >

Abstract

Learning that does not involve active student participation can influence student activities, especially in mathematics learning using NHT type cooperative learning models. This study aims to determine an increase in the activity of learning mathematics in class VII D students in the even semester of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Mlati in the 2015/2016 academic year by using the NHT type of cooperative learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The setting used is class VII D, amounting to 30 students. The research plan is carried out in 3 Cycles and complete in Cycle III. In Cycle I consisted of 1 meeting, Cycle II consisted of 2 meetings, and Cycle III consisted of 1 meeting. Each Cycle uses NHT type cooperative learning models. Data collected by observation, interview and documentation. Analysis of the data used is qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that mathematics learning using the NHT type of cooperative learning model could increase the learning activity of students of class VII D even semester of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Mlati, Sleman Regency Academic Year 2015/2016. This is evident from the increase in student learning activities. In Cycle I, Cycle II and Cycle III that use the NHT type of cooperative learning model experienced an increase in which the first cycle the average percentage of student activity was 37.92% with poor criteria, the average percentage of activeness in cycle II was 52.5% with sufficient criteria and the average percentage of activeness in cycle III is 65.28% with good criteria.

Abstract

The dominant model of learning that teachers lead students more passive in participating in learning activities, especially mathematics. So, that students become less familiar with the material describe teachers. This affects the result of students in mathematics learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Reciprocal Teaching-learning model toward the result of mathematics learning outcomes in students class VII. The population in this study is the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Sleman in the academic year 2015/2016 which consists of 5 classes. The sampling technique using a purposive sampling technique and obtained class VII C as an experimental class and class VII B as a control class. The data was collected using documentation and the test method. The data analysis technique used analysis prerequisites of normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The result showed that (1) there is a different learning outcomes between learning mathematics using learning model Reciprocal Teaching with learning mathematics using learning model Ekspositori. It’s based on two hypothesis test obtained  and  with significance level of 5% and the degrees of freedom, respectivelyand , which meanings , and than is rejected and  accepted. (2) Learning mathematics using learning model Reciprocal Teaching is more effective than learning mathematics using learning model Ekspositori through mathematics learning outcomes on seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Sleman in the academic year of 2015/2016. It is based on the one hypothesis test obtained  dan  with significance level of 5% and the degrees of freedom, respectively and  which means , and than  is rejected and  accepted.

The population in this study were eighth-grade students of SMP N 15 Yogyakarta in the 2016/2017 school year, consisting of classes VIII F, VIII G, VIII H, VIII I, VIII J, with a total of 167 students. Samples were taken from class VIII H as a class of research samples with random sampling techniques to the class .. Data collection techniques using questionnaires to obtain data on learning independence, parenting parents and learning environment at school, as well as test methods to obtain data on mathematics learning outcomes. Research instrument test: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Analysis prerequisite tests include normality test, linearity test, and independence test. Data analysis uses product moment analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between learning independence, parenting parents, and the learning environment at school with mathematics learning outcomes for students of class VIII SMP N 15 Yogyakarta Odd Semester 2016/2017 Academic Year. This is indicated by Fcount  Ftable is 451.4123 > 2.9223 with R = 0.9891 and R2 = 0.9783 with , with SR = , SR =  and SR = 47.8309 , SE = , SE =  and SE = .
