Abstract

Mathematics is a compulsory subject at the secondary school level, especially on matrix material, sometimes students are still difficult to distinguish rows and columns. It is not easy to do multiplications on matrices. Learning media are expected to be a facility that supports learning. This study aims to develop learning tools based on Macromedia flash subject matter matrix class XI. In developing this learning media based on using Research and Development with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research was conducted at Islamic Senior High School (MA) Muallimin Yogyakarta. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The quantitative data analysis technique calculates the score of the developed learning media's feasibility test results. The results of research on the development of interactive learning media mathematics based on Macromedia flash subject matter matrix XI based on the quality of each indicator in terms of material experts in the excellent category with an average percentage score of 86.84%, in terms of media experts in the category are very feasible with a percentage score an average of 88.33%, and student responses in the exciting category with an average percentage score of 77.37. The learning media based on Macromedia flash subject matter matrix XI class material is very feasible in the learning process.

Abstract

In the learning process, multimedia has not yet been used much. Interesting multimedia is required to enhance the learning process. Teachers need additional multimedia to assist them in delivering trigonometry teaching materials. This study aims to develop interactive learning media on trigonometry subjects for grade X. Besides; this study is also aimed at knowing the multimedia properness in terms of material and media and the student's responses to multimedia. This study belongs to developmental research employing the ADDIE model that consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study's subject includes students of State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) 1 Imogiri and Senior High School (SMA) Muhammadiyah Imogiri. The data used in this study are qualitative and quantitative, which were collected through observation, interview, and instrument. The assessment result from the material expert is 88.33 and categorized as excellent. The media expert's score is 85.33 and categorized as excellent, and the score of the students is 83.48 and categorized as excellent (based on trial). Thus, it can be concluded that developing interactive learning media on trigonometry subjects for grade X is appropriate to use in the learning process.

Abstract

Student mathematics learning results are low related to several factors. The correlation between learning time management, learning motivation, and peer interaction are several factors that are likely related to learning results. This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant correlation between Learning Time Management, Learning Motivation, and Peer Associations with Mathematics Learning Results of Students at Grade VIII, State Junior High School of 1 Pandanarum (SMP Negeri 1 Pandanarum) in Banjarnegara Regency in the odd semester in the academic year of 2016/2017. This study's population were eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pandanarum Banjarnegara Regency in the odd semester in the academic year of 2016/2017, consisting of classes VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, VIII E, totaling 145 students. A random sampling technique determined the research sample. Data collection techniques were performed using a questionnaire method to obtain data on learning time management, learning motivation, peer interaction, and test methods to obtain data on mathematics learning results. The research instrument test includes validity tests, different power tests, and reliability tests, while the analysis prerequisite test includes a normality test, linearity test, and independence test. In this study, data analysis was performed using product moment analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed a positive and significant correlation between learning time management, learning motivation, and peer interaction with mathematics learning results of Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Pandanarum Banjarnegara Regency in the odd semester the academic year of 2016/2017. Abstract

Several factors can cause low student learning outcomes. Independence learning, parents' attention, and utilization of learning resources are possibly related to learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive and significant the relationship between independent learning, parent's attention, and utilization of learning resource to Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Students Class VIII of State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 3 Sumbang Purwokerto Central Java in Even Semester in Academic Year of 2018/2019. The population in this research was the students of VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Sumbang Purwokerto Central Java in the academic year of 2018/2019, consisted of class  VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, VIII E, totaling 192 students. Class VIII A is a sample class that was taken with the random sampling technique. The writer uses the questionnaire method to collect independent learning data, parents' attention, and the utilization of a learning resource and test method to get the resulting math results. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. Abstract

The research is in the background of low learning activity and low learning outcomes for students for mathematics lessons. This research aims to increase mathematics learning activity and improve grade VIII B students of Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah Sewon Bantul Yogyakarta used a cooperative script learning strategy. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) used by a cooperative script learning strategy, which lasted for two cycles. Data collection mathematics learning activities using observation sheets, mathematics learning activities, and interviews with research subjects. While the measurement of student mathematics learning outcomes using test instruments formative at every end of the cycle. Data analysis uses qualitative analysis and uses descriptive statistical analysis. Research results revealed that the cooperative script learning strategy improves student mathematics learning activities and improves grade VIII B students of SMP Muhammadiyah Sewon Bantul Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of student mathematics learning outcomes in learning using the Think Pair Share (TPS) method. This research population is all VII grade students of State Islamic Junior High School (MTs Negeri) 1 Yogyakarta in the odd semester of 2019/2020 academic year, consisting of 3 study groups totaling 80 students. Samples were taken from two classes using random sampling techniques. They obtained grade VII C as an experimental class and class VII B as a control class. The instrument used in this study was a test. While the data analysis technique for the prerequisite test uses the normality test with the Chi-Squared formula, the homogeneity test with the Barlet test formula, the hypothesis test uses the t-test. The study results at a significant level of 5% degrees of freedom = 52 indicate that testing of the hypothesis test I results in learning using the TPS learning method effectively against student learning outcomes.  which is 4.223199279>1.674, then H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The repetition of SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta students shows that students' ability to solve mathematical problems is still low. This study aims to determine: (1) is there an effect of mathematical literacy on the ability to solve mathematics problems in class X State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) 4 Yogyakarta; (2) is there the effect of critical thinking on the ability of class X math problem-solving at SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta; (3) is there any effect of mathematical literacy and critical thinking on the ability of class X math problem-solving at SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta in the 2019/2020 school year. This research is a correlational quantitative associative study. This study's sample was students of class X MIPA 4 and X IPS 1 odd semester of SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta in 2019 / 2020. Data collection techniques were a breakdown test for mathematical literacy and problem-solving while a multiple-choice test for critical thinking questions. Research instrument test: validation test and reliability test. Analysis prerequisite test: normality test. Data analysis uses simple regression analysis, multiple regression, relative and effective contributions. Research instruments in the form of mathematical literacy questions, critical thinking, and problem-solving. This study's results indicate a positive influence of mathematical literacy and critical thinking together on the ability to solve problems with 𝑅x (1,2) 𝑦 = 0.562, = 14.105, and the regression equation . However, the effect of mathematics literacy ability on the problem-solving ability of class X students of SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta is greater than the effect of critical thinking skills on class X students' problem-solving skills SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not the differences between mathematics learning outcomes with cooperative learning model of pair check and think pair share types and to compare the effectiveness of the two types in mathematics learning outcomes of students grade VII in even semester at Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in the academic year 2018/2019. This study is an experimental research that consists of experimental class 1 and experimental 2. The population is the student's class VII at SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in 2018/2019. The sample was taken from 2 classes using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study was using a method of learning outcomes tests and documentation. Before analyzing the data, a prerequisite test consisting of a normality test and testing the hypothesis in this study, two parties t-test were used with a significance level of 5%. The research outcomes at a significance level of 5% and df = 53 indicate no difference in mathematics learning outcomes using the cooperative learning model type of pair check with mathematics learning model type of think pair share. This is supported by the results of data analysis from the hypothesis test using the t-test. The results are , so it can be concluded that , so H0 is accepted, and H1 is rejected.

Abstract

Many factors influence learning outcomes in students. Motivation to learn and learn about the environment at home was expected to impact students' learning outcomes. The research intends to know whether there are any positive correlation and significance between  Motivation to Learn and Learning Environment at Home with Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Students Class VIII of  SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan Sleman in Even Semester in Academic Year of  2018/2019. The population in this research was the students of VIII grade in Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan Sleman in Even Semester in Academic Year of  2018/2019, consisted of class  VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, and VIII E totaling 160 students. Samples were taken by the random sampling technique so that class VIII A was obtained as the research sample class. The writer uses the questionnaire method to collect the data of motivation to learn and the learning environment at home and the documentation technique to get the resulting learning of math. The research instrument: validity test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed no positive and significant relationship between Motivation to Learn and Learning Environment at Home with Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Students Class VIII of  SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan Sleman in Even Semester in Academic Year 2018/2019. Abstract

The approach to learning mathematics used in class X of SMA Negeri 1 Prambanan 2018/2019 academic year is still not encouraging students to take an active part in learning activities, allegedly to be one of the causes of the lack of students' mathematical problem-solving skills. This study aims to improve mathematical problem-solving skills by applying the Guided Discovery Model with the Krulik and Rudnick Heuristic Approach to the inequalities of two variables. This type of research is Clas Action research Research (CAR). This study's subject was students of class X Science Mathematics (MIPA) 4 State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) Prambanan 1 the Academic year 2018/2019 with 32 students. Simultaneously, the object in this study is the whole process of applying the Guided Discovery Model with the Krurik and Rudnik Heuristic Approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through student observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Instrument data collection in the form of observation sheets, the completion of practice questions of students' mathematical problem-solving skills, and the results of interviews. Test instruments are used in the form of validation. Technical data analysis uses descriptive methods. This study's results indicate that applying the Guided Discovery Model with the Heuristic Approach Type Krulik and Rudnik can improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills. The improvement of students 'mathematical problem-solving skills can be seen from the average results of completing the practice questions of students' mathematical problem-solving skills from the Low category with 29.34% in the first cycle to Very High 80.816% in cycle II.
