Abstract

Both static and dynamic adaptive neural networks have been broadly utilized in mathematical modeling and numerical analysis. This study aimed to enhance the accomplishment of Dynamic Neural Networks (DNN) models by applying wavelet functions as activation functions. Research that models and forecasts the intensity of solar radiation in Mataram City shows that combining B-Spline and Morlet wavelet activation functions can significantly increase the DNN model performance. Wavelet-DNN (W-DNN) was modeled with an identical architecture; the best showed the increase in the model achievement (0.7596 points for in-sample and 0.8502 points for out-sample data). Mainly for out-sample data, the model's performance using the W-DNN+ intervention model increased by 4.0492 points.

Abstract

Coffee has substantial economic value and is a key foreign exchange source for numerous nations, including Indonesia. Moreover, it is a primary livelihood for many of the country's farmers. Recently, there have been challenges in accurately predicting the quality of coffee beans, primarily due to time, inconsistency, and imprecision issues. Consequently, this study delves into the application of region-growing segmentation and content-based image retrieval (CBIR) techniques to enhance the prediction of coffee bean quality. The proposed hybrid approach, which combines region growing and CBIR methods, aims to improve the precision for forecasting cacao bean quality. Additionally, the research introduces an automated tool that employs these hybrid techniques for quality prediction. The study conducted experiments using a dataset of 400 premium and 400 low-quality coffee beans sourced from the University of Syiah Kuala in Indonesia. The results of the experiments demonstrate a commendable precision rate of 85.4%, showcasing significant improvement compared to certain previous studies.

Abstract

Coastal ecosystems, specifically mangrove trees, safeguard coastal regions against natural disasters like erosion, floods, and tsunamis. Numerical simulations employing the Shallow Water Equation (SWE), encompassing mass and momentum conservation equations, are used to comprehend how mangroves attenuate wave energy. The SWE incorporates Manning's friction term, which is directly influenced by mangrove forests. However, the SWE's complexity and sensitivity to initial conditions hinder analytical solutions. Despite its increasing computational demands, we utilize the robust staggered grid method to address this challenge. Our study examines mangroves' wave-attenuating effects and introduces a parallel computational model using OpenMP to expedite computations. Findings reveal that mangroves can reduce wave amplitudes by up to 33% when employing a Manning's coefficient of 0.3 within confined basin simulations. Furthermore, our parallel computing experiments demonstrate substantial computation speed enhancements; the speedup improves up to a point, with a notable 7.26-fold acceleration observed when utilizing eight threads compared to a single line. Moreover, more than a 10-fold acceleration is observed when the number of threads is greater than 16. This underscores the significance of parallelization in exploring mangrove contributions to coastal protection.

Abstract

Information security and threats are a concern in the cyber era. Attacks can be malicious activities. One of them is known as ARP poisoning attack activity, which attacks by falsifying a computer's identity through illegal access to retrieve confidential information in a target computer. Besides, it has also caused service deadlocks in the network. Previous studies have been introduced for the ARP Attack Detection model using rule-based and mining-based. Still, they cannot show optimal detection performance and obtain high false positive results. This paper proposed a detection model for ARP poisoning attacks using a similarity measurement approach adopting cosine similarity. The goal is to obtain measurements of host activities similar to ARP poisoning attacks. The experiment results showed that the model got an accuracy of 97.25%, recall of 96.43%, and precision of 81% with a similarity threshold value of 0.488. Comparison results with previous studies showed higher detection accuracy than previous studies and some classification methods. It shows that the model can improve intrusion detection performance and facilitate network administrators to analyze ARP poisoning attacks in computer networks.

Abstract

The agricultural sector in Indonesia is still faced with low agrarian production caused by pests and diseases. Therefore, agricultural land that is still vulnerable to pests but can detect the development of pest attacks must be designed. This study uses the PlantVillage dataset. The dataset will go through the preprocessing stage for dimension adjustment, and then the result will be used for building the network. The results are evaluated using a confusion matrix and showed that the convolutional neural network performs well in image processing and obtains architectural optimization in its field. The method we propose is an Efficient Network by selecting the correct input size. Implementing an Efficient Network in the convolutional neural network architecture increases its F1-score to 93%, indicating that Efficient Network has a higher F1-Score than the baseline convolution neural network. Implementing this network architecture can quickly increase the CNN baseline to a more varied target resource while maintaining the efficiency of the resulting model.

Abstract

Information, like public opinions or responses, can be obtained through Twitter tweets. These opinions can expressed as a sentiment. Sentiments can be positive, neutral, or negative. Sentiment analysis (opinion mining) on a text can performed through text classification. This research aims to determine the influence of implementing Stopword Removal and SMOTE on the sentiment classification model for Indonesian tweets. The algorithms used in this research are Logistic Regression and Random Forest. Based on the evaluation, the best classification model in this research was achieved by implementing the Random Forest algorithm along with SMOTE, with an f1-score value of 75.03%. Meanwhile, implementing the Random Forest algorithm and Stopword Removal achieved the worst classification model, with an f1-score value of 68.09%. Implementing Stopword Removal in both algorithms has a negative impact in the form of a decrease in the resulting f1-score. Meanwhile, the performance of SMOTE provides a positive impact in the form of an increase in the resulting f1-score. This happened since Stopword Removal could reduce information and alter the meaning of processed tweets, causing the tweet to lose its sentiment.

Abstract

The use of technology can transform conventional systems into electronic-based systems. Electronic systems have been widely used in governance, organizations, and companies where administration is carried out electronically (e-Government). Hospitals usually already have systems in place, but they are not yet integrated, including integration with BPJS Services, EClaim, and the SATUSEHAT Platform, a new policy from the Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia starting July 2022. BPJS integration includes diagnosis standards guided by Minister of Health Regulation No. 76 of 2016 concerning INA-CBGs Technical Guidelines, funds application to BPJS, cost proportions, and medical personnel fees. Another service at the Teaching Hospital is the management of Education for Professional Doctors (Co-ass) and Specialists (Residents). Another service at the Teaching Hospital is the management of Education for Professional Doctors (Co-ass) and Specialists (Residents). The solution provided is to create E-Hospital. It is an integrated hospital management information system with an SSO Model and Multi-Channel Access Technology for notification. This system consists of Front Office Modules, including Admission Queues, Medical Services, Pharmacy, Employment, Payroll and Medical Personnel Fees, Automatic integration with BPJS, EClaim, SATUSEHAT, Finance, and Warehouse and Equipment.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a fast and adaptive sentiment evaluation approach related to the use of white paracetamol using a combination of the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm, Synthetic Minority Over-Sampling Technique (SMOTE), and the Receptive Deciding concept. Imbalances in the dataset, where positive sentiment may predominate, are addressed through the use of SMOTE to synthesize minority class samples. The KNN algorithm is applied to build a sentiment classification model, while Receptive Deciding is used to provide adaptive intelligence to changes in sentiment. The SMOTE oversampling process is carried out to achieve class balance, while KNN is used to classify sentiment. Receptive Deciding is applied to increase the model's adaptability to changes in sentiment. The research results show that the integration of the SMOTE, KNN, and Receptive Deciding methods provides an effective approach in assessing sentiment accurately and adaptively. The developed model is able to recognize changes in sentiment over time and provide balanced evaluation results. These findings are expected to contribute to understanding public sentiment towards the use of white paracetamol, as well as being the basis for developing more effective health communication strategies.

Abstract

Lesbian, gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) is an individual who has a sexual orientation or gender identity that is different from the heterosexual majority. The LGBT community now dares to appear openly on social media; nowadays, social media is used as a source of information and a place to provide comments. The Indonesian state generally still views the LGBT community as deviant behavior. This research was conducted to understand Indonesian society's views on LGBT through YouTube and social media. The text mining method analyzes and classifies the counter or pro sentences expressed in the comments. The model used in this research is IndoBERT because the research object studied is Indonesian. IndoBERT is part of the Bidirectional Encoder Representation From Transformers (BERT) model. The data sources used were 1,493 data. The stages carried out in this research included the preprocessing stage, which included case folding, data cleaning, tokenization, stopword removal, stemming, and normalization, then the data labeling stage, and finally, the model building stage with IndoBERT Fine Tuning. The level of accuracy achieved using IndoBERT is 74%.
