<![CDATA[Special Economic Zones (SEZs) Sei Mangkei located in Simalungun has a location adjacent to the Port Hub International Kuala Tanjung. Location of KEK Sei strategic Mangkei connected by train along the 20 miles of High City to Kuala Tanjung. Railroad construction is planned to be completed and can be used in 2014. Intermodal connectivity between KEK Sei Mangkei to the Port of Kuala Tanjung very necessary to reduce stagnation and damage to roads and to support the customs facilities required in a special economic zone. In the establishment of special economic zones, will create an interconnected agglomeration that can improve the industry for the surrounding area and the spirit of entrepreneurship. In the study contained in www.kemenperin.go.id/artikel/22/ explained that a number of industries are being and will be built in the area of Palm Oil Industrial Cluster Sei Mangke, North Sumatra, which was built to increase the added value of palm oil in Indonesia. Besides the addition of plant oil kelaps (MCC) PTPN 3 with a total capacity of 75 tons per hour, also will be built a few other industries. Start of power plant 2 x 35 mega watt, will also be built palm kernel oil mill berkapsitas 400 liters per day, biodiesel plants.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper aimed to compare the performance of Amil Zakat Board and Amil Zakat Institutions in managing zakat funds in the region of West Sumatra province, based on data in 2010. The Comparisons were made by measuring the performance of these two institutions which include five aspects of assessment namely 1) Performance of Shariah compliance, legality and institutional 2) Performance of Management 3) Financial Performance 4) Performance of economic empowerment and 5) Performance Social Legitimacy. The research was conducted with surveys and interviews using a questionnaire to four Amil Zakat Board and four Amil Zakat institutions. This study used the Mann Whitney U Test to see the significance of the difference. The results of analysis showed that significant difference between performance of zakat management at Amil Zakat Board and Amil Zakat Institutions in West Sumatera Province. The performance of Amil Zakat Board is better than the performance of Amil Zakat Institutions especially financial performance and the performance of social legitimacy.]]>

A theory is formed as a reflection of reality and proportion of the lemma is sourced from the axiom that the level of its truth comes from revelation. This paper aims to explore qawâ'id al-fiqhiyah, including al-dhararu yuzâl, as a statement from the ultimate source of truth, revelation (al-Quran and Hadith) as a lemma to build Axioma in economic studies. <![CDATA[This research presented Islamic Banking which continuously experienced growth in the banking system in Indonesia. Banking was expected to strengthen the SMEs in accessing the business financing with the concept of profit and loss sharing. This research was done to find out whether the increasing growth of Islamic Banking gave a positive response to the SMEs financing and other variables in line with the rising of Islamic Banking portofolio. The study was based on secondary data and mostly collected from the Islamic Banking Statistics 2011-2015 published by Bank Indonesia. Method of Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) was used for data analysis and variables were financing in SMEs (UKM), depositor funds (DPK), non performing financing (NPF), number of worker (PKJ) and financing to desposit ratio (FDR). The result of the dynamic response analysis that the variables of Islamic Banking contributed positively to the financing of SMEs in Indonesia. DPK (2.17%), FDR (1.26%), NPF (1.2%) and PKJ (4.68%) contributed to the SMEs growth. The interesting findings were the similarity of the results of VECM Analysis, IRF Analysis and Variance Decomposition Analysis who asserted the need of Depositor Funds (DPK) as the driver of SMEs growth in Indonesia.]]>

<![CDATA[The goal of this research is to examine the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Portfolio Investment (PI) and Economic Growth (EG) correlation in Indonesia. This research is using the Economic growth, foreign direct investment and portfolio investment data during 2010-2016, which is accessed from www.bps.go.id; www.bkpm.go.id and www.bi.go.id, and using Vector Auto Regression method. The result shows that FDI and EG have two way correlationship, meaning the connection between past Indonesia FDI and recent Indonesia EG are exist. PI and EG have the same correlationship yet it does not influence the investors to invest at the Indonesia Stock Exchange, as they, particularly foreign investors, are looking forward to the Indonesia Macro-economy policies or recent information about it.]]>

<![CDATA[In economic literature, the term distribution has two connotations, namely; first; distribution associated with the production or the continuation of production activities. Second; distribution associated with income distribution. distribution are various strategies that do (marketing strategy) so that the product can be up to the hands of consumers by the number, the place and the right time. Distribution of the meaning of the spread of prosperity is essential in the teaching of Islam, as revealed by Allah in the Qur'an. al-Hashr / 59: 7, namely that wealth (assets) not circulate among the rich only. This verse contains the teaching that poor people become the responsibility of affluent people to sympathize and give social security. Party sufficiency and sympathize this in the Islamic view assumed by the state.]]>

Therefore, this paper aims to provide information and describing any factors associated with the development of Islamic banking products hajj savings. Insurance began to be developed in the western world in the system of human life since decades. However, fundamentally, a lot of things on the way along with the other financial institutions that are not in line of Sharia principles. Even in their own insurance there are new innovations in its development trajectory that increasingly can not escape from Maysir (gambling), Gharar (deceit) and Riba (interest). <![CDATA[Industri asuransi syariah di Indonesia terus tumbuh. Jumlah penduduk muslim yang sangat besar merupakan potensi bagi berkembangnya ekonomi syariah di negeri tercinta Indonesia. Terbukti sampai Desember 2015, jumlah perusahaan asuransi syariah Indonesia telah mencapai 53 perusahaan. Naik dari posisi tahun sebelumnya yang berjumlah 49 perusahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui “ bagaimana praktik asuransi syariah di PT. Asuransi Takaful Keluarga terkait penerapan PSAK 108 ”. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan dan penggalian data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam (indept interview), observasi langsung (partisipative observation) dan dokumentasi (documentation). PSAK 108 mengatur tentang pengakuan, pengukuran, serta penyajian dan pengungkapan atas transaksi keuangan asuransi syariah. PT. Asuransi Takaful Keluarga sebagai asuransi pertama syariah di Indonesia telah menggunakan akad tabarru’ (hibah) dan tijari (wakalah bil ujrah) dalam transaksi keuangannya. Dalam pencatatan transaksi keuangan, perusahaan sudah memisahkan dana kontribusi peserta pada tiga bagian yaitu dana tabarru’, ujroh, dan dana peserta/tabungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PT Asuransi Takaful Keluarga telah menerapkan PSAK No. 108 dengan melakukan pengakuan awal atas kontribusi peserta yang memisahkan antara dana tabarru’ dan dana perusahaan. Dana tabarru’ keseluruhan menjadi hak peserta(nasabah) yang digunakan untuk pembayaran klaim, biaya retakaful, dan cadangan teknis. Sementara dengan akad wakalah bil ujrah perusahaan (PT. Asuransi Takaful Keluarga) menerima amanah sebagai pengelola dana. Penyajian dalam laporan keuangan juga sudah memisahkan antara laporan dana perusahaan dan dana peserta.]]>

<![CDATA[This article discusses the empowerment of the poor through social capital approach. The formulation of the specific problem is; (1) How does the social capital approach to improve the empowerment of the poor. (2) How is the effort done to solve the problem of poverty, but poverty persisted even show symptoms increase, although statistically likely to be reported decreased. Regardless of how the poverty statistics explores poverty reduction, poverty is in fact becoming increasingly worrisome problem. Study is a social science perspective. This study is an overview of poverty in Indonesia. Data were collected by means of describing and analyzed using descriptive analytical models. The results showed: (1) Poverty is a social problem that is becoming increasingly complex and complicated. (2) A lot of effort was made to solve the problem of poverty, but poverty persisted even show symptoms increase, although statistically likely to be reported decreased.]]>
