Abstract

With the development of recent technology, English became compulsory language we must mastered. English grammar which is different from Indonesia grammar are being one of the obstacles in doing communication using English. Moreover, English learning system that used today still fixated on printed books and learning activity in schools or other education institutions causing people easily bored and tired. From the existing problem, GRAMER as English edugame with river preservation theme are created. Methods used in this research are Waterfall method, in this method, every research steps performed sequentially, start from Analytical Needs, System Design, Implementation and Unit Testing, Integration and System Test and Operation and Maintenance. System planning using Use Case UML Model. System development using Adobe Flash CS6 and using ActionScript3 programming language. System are tested by testing every application functions on 3 Android devices, with JellyBean, KitKat and Lolipop Operating System. This system are tested with result 80,4% of user satisfaction level. Keywords: English, Environmental Conservation, Flash, Game, Grammar

Abstract

Skilled builders known only around the necessary applications to help service the building handyman services to make it easier to get a job and easier for people who want to renovate or build a house. This application is built to benefit society and the craftsman. The purpose of this research  is to build Fast Kul as application services Android-based builder. The method used in this study is the waterfall methodology, where each step in the methodology of research carried out in sequence, starting from stages of Analysis, Design, Code, Test, and Maintenance. This application uses Adobe Illustrator, AirDroid, Android Studio and Sublime Text. With the "FastKul" is expected to assist users in finding a builder services online and easily. The results of this study can be concluded that the application gets a percentage value of 80.7%, so it can be stated that the application is satisfactory so this application as expected and can be used as needed.Keywords: android, service builder, service providers

Abstract

Each department at the Polytechnic of Semarang has a Strategic Plan (Plan) and the Operational Plan (RENOP) to manage and monitor the progress of each department. One department is the Department of Electrical Engineering. In pengeleloaan strategic planning and RENOP done through an information system that is equipped with a Dashboard. Dashboard is intended to help the Department of Electrical Engineering in order to more easily in monitoring targets and achievements in strategic planning and RENOP. Dashboard development is done using the waterfall method (waterfall), starting from analysis, design, writing code, testing and maintenance. This application uses a client-server architecture. The system comes with features designed to simplify the user in seeing how the development of each unit. Users will be facilitated in terms of readability of data and given an attractive appearance so that they can easily understand what is in the data. Testing the system using the method of testing each unit function of each feature. The results of this research is an information system that can help the department head, the department secretary, and the chairman of the study program in monitoring the Strategic Plan and RENOP. Meanwhile, user satisfaction test Dashboard Monitoring and Strategic Planning Department of Electrical Engineering RENOP conducted by filling the questionnaire obtained results of 81.2%, which means that the users were satisfied with the application of Strategic Planning and Monitoring Dashboard RENOP Department of Electrical Engineering.Keywords: client-server, dashboard, waterfall

Abstract

Tujuan dari peneliatian ini adalah merancang dan membuat alat penghitung indeks massa tubuh otomatis untuk menetukan status gizi anak. Kondisi status gizi pada anak akan sangat menentukan perkembangan kondisi fisik maupun psikologi sehingga perlu dilakukan pemantauan secara berkala terkait status gizi anak tersebut.. Salah satu indikator yang dapat dijadikan acuan untuk menentukan status gizi adalah nilai Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Berdasar nilai IMT dapat diketahui status gizi seseorang. Proses penghitungan nilai IMT untuk menentukan status gizi dari anak sebenarnya dapat diringkas apabila terdapat suatu alat yang dapat melakukan 4 langkah tersebut yang dapat mengukur berat badan, mengukur tinggi badan, menghitung nilai IMT, dan mengklasifikasikan staus gizi berdasar nilai IMT yang didapat. Hal ini penting mengingat anak cukup susah untuk dikondisikan ketika akan diukur berat dan tinggi badannya. Selain itu proses pemantauan status gizi juga harus dilakukan secara berkala sehingga proses penghitungan nilai IMT anak juga harus dilakukan. Alat yang akan dibuat berbasis Arduino dan akan dilengkapi LCD sebagai display hasil pengukuran dan perhitungan. Selain itu juga akan dilengkapi thermal printer untuk mencetak langsung data hasil pengukuran dan perhitungan apabila diperlukan. Alat juga akan dilengkapi dengan sensor berat dan tinggi sehingga dapat mengukur berat dan tinggi badan secara otomatis menggunakan load cell dan sensor ultrasonik. Berdasar hasil pengujian alat yang telah dibuat memiliki akurasi pembacaan sensor berat sebesar 100%, sensor tinggi sebesar 98,75%, dan akurasi penetuan status gizi sebesar 87%.Kata Kunci : Arduino, IMT, Load cell, Ultrasonik

Abstract

The objective of this research is to develop and to test the prototype of equipment for testing the mass composition of a binary alloy metal. During testing, the alloy metal is placed inside the glass vessel filled with the liquid fluid, therefore the metal experiences a fluid pressure called as buoyancy. The mass composition of the alloy metal is determined based on the measurement of mass and volume of the alloy metal electronically. The mass of the alloy metal is measured using a load cell based electronic scale, while the volume of the alloy metal is indirectly determined based on the difference in fluid surface levels measured using a laser distance sensor before and after the alloy metal is dipped inside the fluid. The surface area of the glass vessel is always constant, therefore the volume of the fluid displacement which represents the volume of the alloy metal can be calculated using the standard volume formula. Three types of alloy metals with various compositions of Sn (70-80%) and Pb (15-30%) elements are used in this experiment. The experimental results show that the percentage differences in mass composition of the alloy metals measured using this equipment prototype are about  0,05% -11,76%.  The error percentage is bigger as the percentage composition of Sn element increases and the percentage composition of Pb element  decreases. This considerably error might be caused by the use of less precise laser distance sensor with thefinest detection of only about 1,01 mm in resolution.  A further research based on the use of more precise laser sensor with about 0.01 mm in resolution needs to be conducted to significantly  improve the quality measurement of the mass composition of the binary alloy metal.Keywords:  binary alloy, laser distance sensor, load cell. mass composition
