Abstract

High rate of population growth causes population problems to be huge problems that should be solved; ifdon’t’ there will be “Population Bomb”( Paul R. Ehrlich,1968). Factors affecting the rate of population growth afterconducting analysis with quantitative and qualitative descriptive research approach and statistical analysis and publicregulation theory by Edward III; in which the research object is in all Regencies/City in Bali. The rate of populationgrowth determined by the change of population dynamics as well as: fertility, mortality, and migration in BaliProvince. The rate of population growth is much higher than the national rate of population growth. Although theacquired bonus demography, in which Total Fertility Rate (TFR) has been decreasing from 2,5 to be 2,3 per womenhowever the Mortality Rate is still above one percent and migration rate level in the area of Sarbagita is very higheven reaches more than 4 percent. The effort of controlling the population through Keluarga Berencana (FamilyPlanning) is still stagnant, as the consequences of the weakness of the government regulation implementation.

Abstract

The choice of population to move based on the multiple motives, where the primary motive of people to move isdue to economic motives. Population mobility is the one srategy to accelerate equitable development by their homearea both money and goods, which in migration theory known as remittances. The remittances that were sent to thearea the origin indicate the tightly of kindship ties of the people who migrate with the area of origin.This study aims to determine: 1) the average proportion of remittances sent to the region of origin by migrantsworking in agriculture and non-agricultural; 2) the average difference of remittances sent by migrants working inagriculture and non-agricultural; 3) the effect of education, work experience, employment and the age of the revenue;4) the effect of education, work experience, employment, age, and income on remittances; 5) analyze the role ofincome in mediating the effects of education, work experience, employment and the age of the remittances. Thestudy was conducted in Jembrana with sampling method is stratified random sampling. Migrants are being sampledis permanent migrants Pandak Gede village residents who live in Jembrana. The total sample of 92 respondents.Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, comparative analysis and analysis of associative form of path analysisand Sobel test.The results showed that the minimum proportion of remittances sent by 0,39 percent and the maximum proportionof remittances by 8.19 percent with an average of 2.75 percent from income. There are significant differences ofremittances sent by migrants working in agriculture and non-agriculture. Education, work experience, employment and age positive and significant impact on revenues. Education, work experience, employment, age and incomepositive and significant impact on the remittances sent. In addition, revenue is mediating variables in the influenceof education, work experience, employment and the age of the remittances sent to their home area.

Abstract

Newly stated Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF) set as a background to develop the curriculum andtherefore students of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Udayana University as part of active populationdo intenship to recognize the government institutions work patterns. The textbooks become ‘social spirit’ (Etzioniin Poloma, 2013: 355) in Works Integrated Learning/WIL as research methodology. The internship evaluated tomeasure workers well understood taxes and procedure of political parties’ accountability. This 2016 year, there were62 students from departments of Public Administration, Political Sciences and Sociology at Udayana University tostudy two textbooks of ‘Population & Taxes’ and ‘Political Parties’ Accountability’ in order to do the internship tenhours at each institutions after their middle exam. The internship was measured by survey of student’s perception,so as pre and post test before and after they go to the internship places. Hypothesis test shows that internshipsignificantly influential to increase student achievement to understand the pattern of work at each institutions by TPaired Test resulting mean deviation 2.46 before internship to 4.66 after that. Male students (34 students from threedepartments) are having better scores for both pre and post-test in comparison to 28 female students. The score ofpost-test was the combination of score from lecturers and adjunct team from each institutions (Madya Tax Office and 4 Pratama Tax Offices together with the city of Denpasar Commision of Election and provincial Commission ofElection offices). Student’s perception of 78. 9 percent was said that fiscal desentralisation was based on the Law No.22 year 1999 and 86. 8 percent perception of students stated that low obedience of tax payer’s cause by combinationof population dishonesty on income reporting, apatism and low tax socializing toward social welfare. Internshipat the Election Commission offices resulting 76.9 perception of student stated that depolitification of parties takenplace while 42.6 percent intern’s perception was said that no political parties had giving public information northere was political education taken place perceived by half of interns. Unlike the internship in 2015, there was 85internship participants involving 10 adjunct institutions, this year, internship taken place in the provincial tax offices(5 KPP), the Election Commission at city of Denpasar so as provincial office. In the future, it was recommended thatinternship length will be longer to increase professional competence of FISIP Udayana University students. Thus,beside the obedience of tax payment of students will be increasing, those alumni of FISIP Udayana University canbecome the tax or political paarties consultants that put ahead the welfare of population.

Abstract

Badung is one of the districts in the Province of Bali which has an increasing number of labor force in 2013amounted to 333.46 thousand from the previous year amounted to 318.43 thousand people. The number of peoplewho work in Badung increased in 2013 amounted to 330.89 thousand from the previous year amounted to 313.34thousand people. This will lead to employment problems due to the lack of balance between demand and supplyof labor in the country which will hamper the development process in Badung when labor in Badung district doesnot have the competence and competitiveness of the labor force compared with other ASEAN countries. After theenactment of AEC 2015 will be competition increasing labor and indispensable for improvement in the quality ofhuman resources as critical success factors of development and progress of a nation. The workforce in the Badungregency is expected to have the ability and competitiveness in entering the era of AEC 2015.The purpose of thisstudy to determine the implications of the Badung regency manpower in the face of AEC 2015, Badung regencymanpower competence in the face of AEC in 2015, and workforce readiness Badung facing AEC. This research is descriptive qualitative study using primary data sources and data collection using questionnaires to workers fromthe 11 industrial sectors in Badung regency. With a sampling technique judgmental sampling method obtained asample of 4,825 respondents 378 existing workforce.The results obtained on the implications of labor in the face of AEC Badung Regency: respondents who knewabout ASEAN 79.6%, respondents who knew about the AEC as many as 253 people (66.9%), 29.6% of respondentsobtain information about the AEC through television, 60. 8% of respondents agree with the imposition of the ASEANEconomic Community (AEC). Badung regency manpower competence in the face of AEC, 2015: Indonesian laborcompetencies able to compete with foreign workers 44.7%, of respondents have positive expectations to improveahead of the implementation of AECs 38.9%. Confidence high labor would increase work ethic towards the AEC44.7% and 210 respondents have the motivation to prepare for the challenges of the AEC. While self-employmentreadiness Badung facing AEC: 68.3% mastering the English language, Japanese Language 4.2% and 1.1% mandarin.About 51.1% of respondents were able to use a computer, 52.9% actively use the internet, 73.5% work well in a teamwork, 74.3% have a commitment to good work, and 68% were workaholic achieve employment targets given. Thisshows that the work ethic is very good employment indicator for the overall percentage of over 50%.

Abstract

The low quality of public health, especially the poor caused by several factors, namely the lack of awarenessto maintain physical health, environmental hygiene and unhealthy lifestyle, and financing to gain access to goodhealth. This study aims to analyze; 1) the recipient perceptions JKBM to services JKBM, 2) analyze the influence ofthe distance of residence, education, household size and tenure of the income users JKBM, 3) analyze the influenceof the distance of residence, education, family size, employment, and income to the intensity of use JKBM and 4)analyzing the income of the recipient JKBM role in mediating the effect of variable area of residence, education,household size and tenure of the intensity of use JKBM in Buleleng. Data collection methods used were interviewsand questionnaires, with a number of respondents as many as 119 people. The analytical tool used is descriptiveanalysis and path analysis. The results of the analysis of the recipient’s perception JKBM JKBM to health servicesin low category, the perception is very satisfied with the intensity of use JKBM. Distance shelter, and education,and a significant positive effect on revenues. Education and income of a significant negative effect on the intensityof use JKBM. Revenue fully mediate between the distance of a place to stay on the intensity of use JKBM.

Abstract

The participation of women nowadays is not just demanding equal rights but also their significant role forthe development of Indonesian society. The participation of women involves tradition and transitions roles. Thisstudy aims to analyze; 1) women’s contribution to family incomes in the informal sector 2) the effect of the levelof education, work experience, age, number of dependents and the intensity of adat and religious activities of theoutpouring of the working hours of women in the informal sector. 3) the effect of the level of education, workexperience, age, number of dependents, the intensity of customary and religious activities as well as the women’stime dedication to family income. 4) the role of the outpouring of the working hours of women in mediating the effectof level of education, work experience, age, number of dependents and the intensity of religious and adat activitiesof the contribution of women to family incomes in the informal sector in the District Melaya, Jembrana Regency.The data Sources were primary data obtained through direct interviews to women traders and the secondary datawere obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics in Jembrana Regency. The data collection method used wasinterviews and questionnaires, with the number of respondents as many as 129 people. The analytical tool used wasdescriptive analysis and path analysis. The results showed the contribution of women was very instrumental in increasing family incomes; women’scontribution to the family income was at an average of 45.53 percent. The level education and the number ofdependents had a significant positive effect on the outpouring of working hours of women in the informal sector.The intensity of adat and religious activities had a significant negative effect on the outpouring of working hours ofwomen in the informal sector. Work experience and age did not have a significant effect on the outpouring of theworking hours of women in the informal sector. The level of education, number of dependents and the outpouringof hours of work had a significant positive effect on women’s contribution to family incomes in the informal sector.The intensity of adat and religious activities had a significant negative effect on women’s contribution to familyincomes in the informal sector. Work experience and age had no significant effect on women’s contribution to thefamily income. Outpouring of working hours mediated the effect of educational level, number of dependents, as wellas adat and religious activities to the contribution of women in the family income. But the outpouring of workinghours did not mediate the effect of work experience and age on women’s contribution to the family income in thedistrict of Melaya, Jembrana Reegency.
