Abstract

The constructivist paradigm for the instructional design to facilitate not only the thinking processes but also the social interaction processes. As such, Group Investigation and Inductive model in learning science. In Group Investigation (GI) models, learning to work together productively as well as to interact socially and effectively in a small group to problem solving. A variety of skills, for example, interpersonal, problem solving, and study skills would be needed. In Group Investigation and inductive models could sharpen the students‟ ability academically as well as socially; the application of  GI models could increase students‟ activities and process skill during the learning  process science. Futhermore, the students showed their enthusiasm and high motivation in doing their tasks, presentations and discussions. Besides, their attention, concentration, interaction, creativity, cooperation in group and their work in problem solving. Cooperative learning type GI could increase the students‟ achievement in learning Science.In Inductive models, student as center in learning process. Student learning is constructed knowledge and teacher facilitate to true understanding about material learning.  Thus, the GI and inductive models could be applied as one of the alternatives in learning science at school because it could increase the students‟ enthusiasm and also the students‟ learning achievement. Abstract

The research on “Light and Optics” using cooperative learning model types of STAD based audio visual media was conducted. This study aims to find out students 'improvement, motivation and student’s achievments, student’s and techer’s activities on STAD based audio visual media. This research used classaction-research design with 2 cycles. Subjects were students of eighth grade of Junior High School 2 Tanta. Totally, there were 19 students involved on this study. Data was collected by using achievement test, questionnaires, and observations. Subsequently, data were analyzed by using qualitative descriptive technique. The result showed that by using “STAD based audio visual media, student’s achievments on Light and Optics increased from 84,21%  on the first cycle to 89,47% on the second cycle. Student’s motivation and activities increased from good category  on the first cycle to very good category on the second cycle.Key words: Cooperative learning model types of STAD, audio visual media, light and optics.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penerapan pendekatan Guided Inquiry pada materi pokok cahaya. Penerapan pendekatan Guided Inquiry  diharapkan dapat berdampak positif pada konstruksi pengetahuan siswa dan aktvitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran IPA khususnya pada materi pokok cahaya sehingga mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa (2) meningkatkan aktivitas siswa, dan (3) mengetahui respon siswa terhadapa implementasi pendekatan Guided Inquiry. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas 2 siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIB SMPN 3 Paringin yang berjumlah 18 orang. Instrument penelitian tes berupa instrument tes tertulis dan instrument non tes berupa angket dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) aktivitas siswa meningkat dar kategori cukup menjadi baik dan sangat baik (2) hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari 38,89% menjadi 66,67% dan meningkat lagi menjadi 88,89% (3) siswa menunjukan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Guided Inquiry pada materi pokok cahaya dengan persentase 100%.Kata kunci: Guided Inquiry, cahaya, aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar

Abstract

The reasearch problem at junior high school  level is teacher-center learning, monotonous, and less interactive. The classroom action research implementing peer interactions method on redox reaction concept was conducted. The  research purposes are to increase student intrest and learning outcome to the implementation of peer-interactions method. This action research class that were invoved 22 students class Xc of MAN 2 Paringin as subject research. It was found that student’s comprehention in mastery learning increased from 40,91% at first cycle to 86,39% at second cycle, student’s intrest in very good category in learning process.  Key word : Peer-interactions method,  student intrest and learning outcome, redox reactions.

Abstract

It has conducted research about the implementation of cooperative learning model with team game tournament (TGT) type on Rectangular material. The purpose of this study was to determine students learning activity and enhancing mathematics learning outcomes through cooperative learning model with TGT type. This research was conducted in two cycles with three meetings. The subjects were students of class VII A 3 Paringin SMP consisting of 15 students. The study states that the cooperative learning model with TGT type could (1 )increase students activity with excellent category (2) improving student learning outcomes from the first to the second cycle thoroughness iondividual of 9 students to 13 students and classical completeness of 60 % to 87%. This means that the cooperative learning of TGT type can improve students activity and aktivas and learning outcomes.Key words: team game tournament, activities and learning outcomes, rectangular.

Abstract

A study concerning the learning material salt hydrolysis, solubility and solubility product, as well as colloidal IA school in class XI PGRI 7 Banjarmasin. This study aims to develop teaching skills (pedagogy) via reflection, the teacher's role, cognitive and affective learning outcomes of students. Student teacher candidates will experience the transition from student to teacher. The researcher as a student teacher candidates recognize the need to form teacher competence (pedagogical, personal competence, social competence, professional competence) in the final period of the course. The establishment of these competencies do research through Action Research uses instructional strategies Numbered Heads Together (NHT) and improvement through self-reflection, aided by experienced teachers. This research method using action research design with 14 meeting. Each meeting consists of planning, action, observation and evaluation, and reflection. Subjects were high school students of class XI IA PGRI 7 Banjarmasin with the number 34. Data were collected through observation, reflection, questionnaires, and interviews. Data were analyzed with descriptive interpretive techniques. The results showed that the ability to teach researchers had better change based on data from the observer who observed since the beginning of the meeting until the last meeting learning lessons. Transition prospective student teachers become teachers in conducting action research can be used as one way to develop teaching skills. Abstract

This research aims to find out : (1) cognitive differences in learning outcomes between students who are learning to use the SETS approach (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) and students learn using conventional learning material redox This study aims to find out, (2) student learning activities that use the SETS and conventional learning material redox reactions, and (3) students' response to the SETS approach. The research method is a quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The study population was a class X student of SMAN 12 Banjarmasin academic year 2011/2012. Sample was determined by purposive random sampling by 2 classes of 4 classes. Data collection technique used achievement test, questionnaire, observation and documentation. The technique of data analysis using t-test and descriptive analysis. The results showed that : (1) there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes between students who are learning to use the approach SETS and students who learn using conventional learning material redox reactions, (2) student learning activities that use the SETS more active than the student activity using conventional learning material redox reactions, (3) implementation of the approach SETS received a positive response from students. Abstract

The low of student achievement problem and students less active in mathematics learning process in fifth grade of SDN Jangkung Tanjung Tabalong district due to learning process which isn’t student center yet. The goal of this research was to increase student achievement and activity in mathematics on the subject of Properties of Flat Shape by using contextual approach in Think Pair Share methods. Subject of the study were the fifth grade students consisting of three male and five female students. The observation data was  analyzed by using qualitative approach, and the students achievement data was analyzed by percentation. The results showed that student activity score increased from 85.2 and 92.97 in the lesson 1 and 2 in the first cycle to 95.3 and 98.4 in the lesson 1 and 2 in the second cycle. The average score increased from 70 in the first cycle to 81.25 in the second cycle. Classical completeness increased from 62.5% in cycle 1 to 87.5% in cycle 2. From the results of this study can be concluded that the contextual approach in think pair and share model increase learning activity and math achievement on the subject of Properties of Flat Shape of fifth grade students of SDN 3 Jangkung Tabalong district school year 2011/2012. Abstract

The research on “chemical in life” using cooperative learning model types of “Jigsaw” method was conducted. This study aims to find out students 'improvement, cognitive skills, student’s activities and responses on “Jigsaw” method. This research used class-action-research design with 2 cycles. Subjects were students of  eighth grade  of  Junior High School 1 Paringin.  Totally, there were 24 students involved on this study.  Data was collected by using achievement test, questionnaires, and observations. Subsequently, data were analyzed by using percentation technique. The result showed that by using “Jigsaw” method, student’s achievments on chemical in life increased from 58,3%  on the first cycle to 91,7% on the second cycle. From the first to the second cycle, student’s activities in the group improved. Students gave positive responds  to the Jigsaw models. Teacher skills in implemetation Jigsaw models increased from good on the first cycle to very good category on the second cycle.Key words: Cooperative learning model types of “Jigsaw”, chemistry in life.

Abstract

This research is made with aim to understand: (1) the difference in student’s conceptual understanding between problem solving cooperative learning model and conventional learning model in thermodynamic, (2) the difference student’s algorithmic understanding between problem solving cooperative learning model and conventional learning model in thermodynamic. This research is made by using quasiexperiment method which using pretest post-test nonequivalen control group design. The design of nonequivalen control group is used because random aspect can’t be filled perfectly, caused by difficulty in choosing and arranging the members of control group and experiment group. In this research, two class groups determined as research sample. One is for experiment group, which using problem solving model, and one is for control group which using conventional learning model. The instruments that developed in this research are multiple choice with reason, questionnaire, and observation sheet. The data analysis techniques that used in this research are descriptive analysis and analysis of covariant (Anacova). The research results conclude that: (1) student’s conceptual understanding, which using problem solving cooperative learning model, is higher than conventional learning, (2) student’s algorithmic understanding, which using problem solving cooperative learning model, is higher than conventional learning.Key words: problem solving, cooperative learning, conceptual understanding, algorithmic.
