Abstract

many varieties and ways for someone to understand al-Qur’an or tafhim al-Qur’an. It is because one’s ability to understand and to explain about the essence of Allah’s commandment is different, based on his/her ability and understanding himself/herself. The difference in understanding is not separable from many factors, among other are: the level of intellegence, the level of education, the level of underlying religious understanding. The focus of problem in this research was to find the proper formulation of tafhim, in order that the messages contained in al-Qur’an are easy to understand correctly based on the text and the context of the referred verse. The results of the research were: that al-Qur’an has verses in the forms of muhkamat and mutasyabihat, therefore, to understand them, aided tools are needed such as tafhim manhaji, in order that the messages contained on them can be understood correctly based on the referred text and context. Although it is proper to appreciate if every effort of tafhim and interpretation of al-Qur’an always uses a method or strategy of new study, including a new style contained in the tafhim manhaji of al-Qur’an, because the method of tafhim manhaji is considered as being able to reduce many kinds of abstruse in understanding the verses of Allah written in al-Qur’an or verses which are broadly spread on this universe.

Abstract

Kuntowijoyo as a historian, Muslim scholar, and author, is undeniable about his abilities. The most phenomenal from Kuntowijoyos literary work, as a cultural work is his idea on prophetic literature. Prophetic literature is Kuntowijoyos original work based on three edicts, they are: structural transendental epistemology, humanization and interrelation among awareness ended in liberation. His formulation on the three edicts of prophetic literature that made Kuntowijoyo to be an author, not only an author who created literary and cultural works as culture, but also as worship. All cultural activities are worships, because they are forms of subjecting to the Creator and faith to Allah. In Kuntowijoyos view, in order to be in advance, Muslim community must leave the myth and ideology world toward the knowledge world, therefore, Islamic knowledge is necessary, not Islamization of knowledge.

Abstract

Islamic law had been successfully applied in Indonesia as if about to be removed from the records. Just like the government policy in the Dutch colonialists who want to portray Snouck poor Islamic law at the time. Islamic law is law considered cruel and unjust towards women. Such an understanding is also happening in the Surakarta. Society considers the current Kasunanan still prevail is customary law. Thats the background for the author to reveal in detail the history of Islamic law in Surakarta during PB IV.This esearch aims to determine the details of the implementation of Islamic law, determine the scope of application of Islamic law and to determine the factors that hinder the implementation of Islamic law in Surakarta during Pakubowono IV.The method used in this research is the analysis of qualitative Historical Method. The implementation of Islamic law in Surakarta during Pakubowono IV has been running well although there is a shortage due to several factors. The biggest factor that makes it less optimal implementation of Islamic law at the time it was because of the pressure and the Dutch intervention. The scope of application of Islamic law in Surakarta during Pakubowono IV covers almost all areas of Islamic law. Among these Islamic laws have been implemented to manage the political, criminal and civil.Factors that hinder the implementation of Islamic law in Surakarta during Pakubowono IV, among others: the Dutch intervention, lack of support and lack of indigenous political and military forces to support the establishment of Islamic law.

Abstract

As one of the international covenant that had been ratified by Indonesia through UU No. 7 Tahun 1984, CEDAW had been made several consequences like abortion legalization and easy access of contraception. One thing must be noticed that CEDAW didn’t mention marriage as a must, as we can review from ICPD’s definition about reproductive health in women. ICPD was a dynamic response from CEDAW. As a convention emerged from West’s worldview, Indonesia as an adoption country, must doing strict selection because CEDAW can be mean of infiltration West’s worldview. The formulation of this research are how the concept on reproductive health women in CEDAW and how Islam’s critics toward the concept of reproductive health women in CEDAW. The aim of this research is to know the concept of reproductive health in women and how Islam critics about that concept. The method of this research was library research, with specifically analysis documents. The researcher using content analysis to analysis the content of the documents. Overall, researcher use deductive method for analysis. The findings from concluding comments’ documents, CEDAW’s committee feedback about application CEDAW in Indonesia, is feminism value. The point is women have fully freedom to decide all the problems in her reproductive health without intervention by her husband, her family, country or religion. Islam has point of critics start from difference on worldview. Islam as worldview has its paradigm towards several concepts, like concept of God, concept of divine, concept of prophet, etc.

Abstract

The thought of Islamic politics which develops in Indonesia recently has various epistemology, either being viewed from the discourse of Islamic politics conveyed by Muslim politicians, or what contained on the basic stipulation/bylaws (AD/ART) of each party. It is a kind of plurality of Islamic political thought which is less influenced by the frame of Islamic political epistemology itself and by Islamic political paradigm which develops in Indonesia that has textual-idealistic, realistic and integral patterns. To further investigate the problem, the focus of this research was how is an ideal reconstruction of the contemporary thought of Indonesian Islamic politics? The results of the research showed that the epistemology frame of Islamic political thought that has classical and mid century pattern should be reconstructed suitable with the context of social life of 21st century, in which the interaction among Muslim community or non Muslim community has been closer each other. Of course, it needs a new theology of Islamic politics which is more tolerant and pluralistic, therefore, issues of contemporary politics related to the concept of hudûd, gender problem, muslim-non muslim positions, concept of dãrulharb, human rights, citizenship, a new relation pattern between Islam and the West, response of political philosophy on postmodernism and other issues can be responded and implemented according to the principle of Islamic politics.

Abstract

Since Mary Wollstonecraft demanded equal rights for women in all fields and denounced all forms of discrimination in her book A Vindication of the Rights of Women in 1792, feminist movements began to emerge and demand the same thing, including the right to participate in politics. Indonesia, which was still called the archipelago, then had given right to women to participate in politics. The motivation of political participation of women in Indonesia was different from that of the Westerners. The motivation of the former was based on a religious spirit, not the spirit of feminism as stated by Hamka in his book Tjemburu (Ghirah). Based on this, this research focuses on Hamka’s thought on Indonesian women political participation. The purpose of this study is to explore and analyze Hamkas thoughts, and construct them, and then associate them with the current Indonesian women political participation. This research is qualitative, based on library research, and done by reviewing, tracking, and analyzing data from the books and newspaper archives. This study uses historical and philosophical. The research data are derived from primary and secondary data sources. The primary data ones are divided into two: first, the primary data sources from Hamkas books that tell about women and womens political participation in general, and, second, the primary data sources from Hamkas books that specifically discuss about Indonesian womens political participation. Analysis of data uses deductive and reflective methods. Based on the results of this research, we can conclude that Hamka had underlined his political thought construction by making the divine revelation as the supreme law. Hamka strengthened the construction of his thought on womens political participation with the element of unity of Itiqad. This Itiqad unity was not only in women but also in men, so that they could work together to build a religious Muslim community. Hamka himself basically allowed women (especially a muslim woman) to participate in politics as long as they had religious understanding, knowledge, and high Islamic morale, did not forget their main tasks as wives and mothers, were critical, and dare. Then it could be found as well, the two types of Indonesian womens political participation Hamkas thought, they were based on motivation and activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berkaitan   dakwah bil hâlsebagai sebuah model dakwah yang berorientasi kepada pemberdayaan dan pengembangan masyarakat (community empowerment) melalui ekonomi. Rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana implementasi dan peran dakwah bil-hâl Pondok Pesanten “Wali Songo” dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat Ngabar Tahun: 2013-2014 .Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi dan peran dakwah bil-hâl PPWS dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat Ngabar dalam rangka mewujudkan masyarakat sejahtera dan mandiri secara ekonomi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, karena peneliti langsung menggali data di lapangan yaitu PPWS Ngabar Ponorogo. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan empat tahapan yaitu, pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan.Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Dakwah bil-hâl dilaksanakan melalui program pemberdayaan ekonomi. Pemberdayaan ekonomi dilakukan spesifik melalui YPPW-PPWS diharapkan mampu menjembatani dan membantu masyarakat Ngabar keluar dari kemiskinan melalui model-model pemberdayaan yang dilakukan antara lain: (1) Pemberdayaan tenaga kerja sekitar pesantren, (2) Pemberdayaan pertanian, (3)Pemberdayaan peternakan sapi, (4) Pemberdayaan kesehatan masyarakat, (5) Pemberdayaan penyiaran dan komunikasi dan (6) Pemberdayaan kelompok usaha rumahan. Adapun peran dakwah bil-hâl Dakwah bil-hâl menghasilkan perubahan dan pencapaian dalam masyarakat Ngabar, khususnya di bidang ekonomi. Dakwah bil-hâl memiliki peransebagai motivator, dinamisator dan fasilitator program pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat Ngabar, dengan melibatkan peran institusi agama, kyai dan pesantren.Kata kunci: dakwah bil-hâl, pesantren, pemberdayaan ekonomi.

Abstract

Ibn Khaldun with all efforts to find a concept of Islamic education with some of them about the idea of learning known as malakah theory, generalization, tadarruj, and continuity, which until now is still used as a guide in the world of education. For this research trying to uncover the relationship between Islam Ibn Khalduns Concept of Education in Relevance of National Education. This study aims to provide an overview of the reasons behind Ibn Khalduns ideas with regard to the concept of Islamic education and describes the relevance of the concept of Islamic education Ibn Khaldun to the National Education. This research is a library research by using the method of collecting data is documentation research method, the research model by searching the data using the record of events that have passed such monumental works of Ibn Khaldun. From the analysis that has been done can be concluded that there is relevance of Ibn Khalduns concept of Islamic education to national education is characterized among other things by the similarity of the concept that the main object of education is a human being, in which man is composed of several basic elements are interrelated and can not be separated from each other.
