Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are the most important part in the economy. Many government efforts to assist the development of SMEs by providing a forum for businesses in the form of credit / loan capital is expected to encourage businesses to increase revenue. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of their own capital, business location and loan capital directly and the indirect effect between equity and income through the business premises against the loan capital. This research was conducted in all districts in Tabanan. Research carried out by conducting a survey with a questionnaire. The data used in this study are primary data, while the analysis method used is the analysis of lane or path analysis to determine the effect, directly and Sobel test to determine the effect indirectly. The analysis showed the capital itself has a positive influence on capital loans and business location has a positive influence on the loan capital. Business location and loan capital has a positive effect on income. The coefficient of determination total at about 85 percent is explained by the model and the remaining 15 percent is explained by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

Morbidity figure shows the rate of morbidity due to the interference structure as well as the function of a person's body which indicates the degree of illness, injury or disorder in a population which is a deviation from a healthy status or welfare of a community. The Increased morbidity in Bali province is relatively high compared to other provinces and occupies the highest number two (2), of course, it will be a question from various circles even though the government of Bali has rolled “Bali Mandara Health Insurance” for the community. This study aimed to analyze (1) the influence of the environment, education and the economy against poverty districts or cities in Bali, (2) the influence of the environment, education, the economy and the poverty against morbidity rate in the districts orcities in Bali and to analyze the indirect impact of environmental, educational, and economic against morbidity rate through a poverty levels in the districts or cities in Bali. The data used is a quantitative data panel shaped from all districts or cities in Bali for a period of 2002-2013. This study uses secondary data from BPS Bali Province using equation structural analysis techniques with AMOS program. The results showed that the environment and education gives negative impact, however not significantly impact on levels of poverty, while the economic provided a significant negative impact on the level of poverty. Environmental, economic and poverty provided a positive and significant impact on morbidity, whereas the education provided a significant negative effect on morbidity. Environment, education and the economy do not have an indirect impact on morbidity through poverty. In order to decrease the morbidity rate in Bali, it requires coordination and synchronization of the command programs between districts / cities in Bali with the provincial government as well as Central Government.

Abstract

The quality of the Indonesian fruit production is actually insufficient to meet domestic consumption, the geographical condition, with its tropical climate is perfect for growing the seasonal fruit. This study aims to determine whether the imports of the 28 seasonal fruit, which is also grown domestically, put pressure on the domestic production. International trade theory states, imports will put pressure on the domestic producers. The data used to test these theories is the time series data from 1970 to 2012 of 28 types of seasonal fruit.We use the natural log for the import and also the domestic production instead of the nominal amount.The impactof Indonesian trade policy periodization also try to explain by using dummy variables in the standart regression model. The results showed the negative impact of imports on production of 28 types of the local fruit. Other results also show that in the period before the 1980 production was 53 percent higher than in the period after it, which the period wherethe economic openness are higher.

Abstract

To win the potential market like ASEAN it is necessary to have a mapping regarding of what products and their competitiveness in each individual market in ASEAN. By utilizing the Dynamic Revealed Comparative Advantage (DRCA) this study focus to analyze the competitiveness of agricultural products in five ASEAN bigest countries namely Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines and Vietnam. This study found that the ASEAN market is very important as an export destination for many Indonesian agricultural products such as live animal; Cereals; Tobacco; milling products; and Cocoa and Cocoa prep. However, Indonesia experienced a decline in the export performance of agricultural products in ASEAN countries due to the emergence of a more competitive competitor. By detailng the analysis in each destination countries, the study found that some Indonesia products still had a high competitiveness in the ASEAN market. In fact, many Indonesian agricultural products increased their competitiveness and were categorized as a rising star product.

Abstract

The existence of the modern art market can be a dilemma for merchants who have capital to small scale and can potentially cause a decrease income traders in Sukawati Art Market. This study aimed to analyze the effect of sales volume, business location, and hours of operation simultaneously and partially on the income trader in Sukawati Art Market after the development of modern art market. Respondets of this reseach are 89 trader and owner of small scale business located at Sukawati Art Market. The data collected through interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The analysis technique used is Binary Logistic. Results of the research showed that the probability of revenues was declining to 71,9  percent and those who has fixed revenues was 29,1 percent of the responden. Variable sales volume, business location, and hours of operation simultaneously and partially significant effect on the income trader in Sukawati Art Market.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to see how the relationship between the liberalization of the financial sector to the economy in Indonesia and how the shocks caused by the crisis affect the financial sector. The approach using the time series data set with time periode 1980-2013 were sourced from World Bank and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) as a method of estimation. The results showed that the shocks that occurred in GDP will cause changes in the financial sector, especially percentagedomestic credit to private sector in GDP. In addition, variable crisis and percentage domestic credit to private sector in GDP shows bi-directional causality.

Abstract

This study investigates household access on safe and clean water in Indonesia. The analysis is based on compilation data set of Statistic Indonesia and World Bank online publication namely INDO DAPOER ranging of 497 districts and municipalities for 2004-2011 periods.Our first analysis is the determinant of household access to clean and save water in district level. The second is combining access of clean and safe water with access on improve sanitation and ellectricty, to evaluate the impact on health indicator (morbidity rate) and district’s PDRB level. The third analysis is determining the impact of safe water,infrastructure, electricity and improved sanitation through morbidity rate and PDRB on the HDI. In general, this study find that better access on safe and clean water can improve community heath performance and district’s HDI. Better access on safe water should be followed by better access on sanitation, as these accesses are interlinked. Regarding intergovernmental transfer, an increase in DAU and DAK sectoral transfer are found improving health performance, increasing PDRB, HDI scor, and reducing poverty rate.

Abstract

The phenomenon of population aged 60 years and older who can be categorized as elderly people still working are found in Bali. Improving the quality of health has an impact on increasing life expectancy may indirectly increase the number of elderly people who are still working. This study aims to determine the impact of socio-demographic variables on the decision of elderly people choose to work. The data collection was conducted using interviews and questionnaires in the district of Kediri Tabanan. The sample data was obtained by proportionate random sampling with a sample of 191 respondents. This study uses a logit model analysis.The research result shows that the decisions of elderly people choose to work in the district of Kediri, Tabanan regency is affected by marital status, old age benefits, age, sex, and health conditions. Education, dependency and status in the family did not significantly impact the decisions of elderly people choose to work in the district of Kediri, Tabanan regency.

Abstract

The main research to identify the impact of fiscal autonomy,economic growth,openness access into inequality amongprovinces in Sumatera. For analyze the effect of the degree of fiscal autonomy, economic growth, and openness access to the inequality in Sumatera period2009-2013 withRandom Effect Method. The results explain fiscal autonomy are categorized low. Economic growthin Sumatera during the study period was also low. Openness access in Sumatera can be said is still not open to trade. Inequality in the Sumatera still quite high. The effect of fiscal autonomy to inequality is negative and significant. Economic growth to inequality is negative and significant, while the openness access is positive and not significant to inequality. Expected in Sumatera provincial governments to used maximum local revenue. Economic growth must observe and control the level of inequality. There should be a boost to the regions to be more active in trade traffic in Sumatera or National.
