Abstract

The concept of mathematics learning which is integrated with Islamic character education is still limited; this is one of logical reasons why this research is conducted. The basic motivation of carrying out this research is to describe a concept of mathematics learning which is contextualized with Islamic character education. This research aims at describing concept of mathematics learning which is integrated with Islamic character education. This research uses a qualitative approach by emphasizing its analysis on the comparative inference process as well as on phenomena relationship dynamics observed by using scientific logic. Qualitative research is an approach that produces descriptive data in the form of written words from observed people that are not written in terms used in quantitative research. Research method used in this study is case study in which the researcher is trying to find out how the process of strengthening Islamic character through mathematics learning. This research was carried out at MA Nurul Ummah Kotagede Yogyakarta which has innovatively implemented mathematics learning using various methods through interactive learning multimedia which is integrated with strengthening Islamic character. Research finding showed that strengthening Islamic character through mathematics learning at MA Nurul Ummah is integrated into several aspects, namely learning methods, learning materials, and all aspect directly related to learning process in the classroom including putting statement of honesty on the answer sheet and giving reward and punishment to students.

Abstract

This research aims at figuring out the effect of students’ achivement motivation and expectation towards students’ learning achivementa t PAI subject at VII class in junior high school level in 2014. There were three schools involved in the research:  SMP N 1 Salatiga, Salatiga SMP N 6, and SMP Muhammadiyah Salatiga. This is quantitative research with purposive sampling technique. The data collecting technique were questionnaires, test and documents. Questionnaires were to see the relation between students’ achievement motivation and expectation while test was used to gain data for learning achievement on PAI. The instruments for questionnaire were tested using validity and reliability test, normality test, autocorrelation test, F test, and coefficient determinant test. The data analysis used regression techniques. The findings of the research show that independent variables of achievement motivation (X1) and expectations (X2) influence the dependent variable of learning achievement (Y) by Y’ = 48.866 + 0.04 X1  + 0.258 X2 . This implies that 1 value of achievement motivation and 1 value of exectation will result on 49.164 learning achievement in PAI subject.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of scientific approach and affective learning strategy of Islamic education teachers in improving student achievement. This research used qualitative method, used observation, interview or document review. The data presented in verbal form was not in the form of numbers. Based on the results of research and discussion can be concluded the  application of scientific approach by teachers Islamic education in Sekolah Dasar Negeri Plumutan and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darussalam Bancak was observing, asking, exploring, associate and communicate. Affective learning strategies in public primary Sekolah Dasar Negeri Plumutan and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darussalam Bancak done in two ways, the pattern of habituation and modeling or modeling. Implementation of scientific approach and affective learning strategy of learning Islamic education strongly support the success in improving student achievement. The result of this research showed  that effectively  and efficiently in accordance with the stages of learning with scientific approach and affective learning, then the purpose of learning can be achieved.

Abstract

This work shows the implementation of inclusive education in Islamic Kindergarten Taruna al-Qur’an (IKTQ), the assessment of child development in inclusive class, and supporting and restriction of the implementation of inclusive education in IKTQ. This qualitative descriptive research used observation, interview, and documentation as the technique of collecting data. The results are only the ABK with less in terms of social skills that were included in the non-ABK class. IKTQ pointed the special guides that monitored the development of ABK. The development of the child was assessed through observations and notes. These notes were documented as reports of child development communicated to the parents. The assessment did not touch the ABKs who joined in learning with other children. The development of ABK was assessed when they were in a special place of ABK therapy. The factors supported the implementation of inclusive education in IKTQ were: (1) the communication between teachers and ABK guides, (2) a good relationship through weekly meeting for all teachers, and (3) the communication between IKTQ and parents either verbally or through a liaison document. Regarding the restriction, the teachers explicitly express that there were no obstacles in the implementation of inclusive education in IKTQ.

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of school environment and the performance of the honorary teachersof Islamic Education inSD Negeri Jetis I and SD Negeri Nampu I Karangrayung toward the students’ learning achievements. The study as designed as a research survey using quantitative methods (implementing partial regression or double recreation). The respondents are the fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Jetis I and SD Negeri Nampu I Karangrayung. The findings show that (1) there is a positive influence of school environment in SD Negeri Jetis I and SD Negeri Nampu I Karangrayung toward the students’ learning achievement as much as 2.7%. It means if the school environment is increased by one point then the students’ learning achievements will be increased by 2.7%, (2) there is a positive influence on the performance of the honorary teacher Islamic Education in SD Negeri Jetis I and SD Negeri Nampu I Karangrayung toward the students’ learning achievement as much as 13.7%.This means if the performance of the honorary teachersIslamic Education is increased by one point then the students’ learning achievements will be increased by 13.7%, and (3) there is a positive influence of school environment and the performance of the honorary teachersIslamic Education in SD Negeri Jetis I and SD Negeri Nampu I Karangrayung toward students’ learning achievement as much as 13.7%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the content value and character in textbook of Islamic Religious Education and Character on Junior High School. The implementation and character in SMP Negeri 1 Salatiga, SMP Islam Al Azhar 18 Salatiga and SMP Muhammadiyah Salatiga and the teacher’s strategy of character implementation in the school. This research uses a qualitative approach with a focus on values educationand characters in the handbook Islamic Religious Education. Data were analyzed by content analysis. The validity of research data is by using triangulation techniques with theory. This research also uses observative method, interview and documentation method. Based on this research, can be conclude that the content in textbook of Islamic education and character in Junior High School have 18 point and character. There are some strategy that used by teacher in SMP Negeri 1 Salatiga, SMP Islam Al Azhar 18 Salatiga and SMP Muhammadiyah Salatiga such as integrating in learning. Moreover, it’s also doing by self development in school activity, prayer dhuha, Ikrar and PPK.
