Abstract

The porpose of this best practice is to improve the work ethics of teachers and employees also the Students spirit in learning which the goal is to improve the quality of learning at SMK Negeri 1 Warureja. The formulation of the problems in this scientific work are: (1) How to improve the work ethic and work hard for teachers and employees of State Vocational School 1 Warureja ?, (2) What is the impact of discipline, and hard work on the work ethic of teachers and employees of State Vocational School 1 Warureja and (3) What are the obstacles that arise in instilling discipline, and hard work in an effort to improve the work ethic of teachers and employees of SMK Negeri 1 Warureja, and how to overcome them? The methode used were coacking, interviews, observation and the instruments used were questionnaire as well as documentation. The results achieved through fostering discipline and hard work in an effort to improve the work ethic of teachers and employees or the learning enthusiasm of students of SMK Negeri 1 Warureja, are: (1) as school residents both teachers and employees have a high work ethic (teacher questionnaire results 4.67; results Employee questionnaire 4.09, and for students having high enthusiasm for learning (student questionnaire results 4.09), (2) as a citizen of the teacher / employee school or students trying to do their duties and obligations as well as possible (results of teacher questionnaire 4.47, employee questionnaire results 4.33, student questionnaire results 4.06) (3) teachers / employees or students have high discipline (teacher questionnaire results 4.44, employee questionnaire results 4.33, student questionnaire results 4.16), and (4) as school residents both teachers / employees have hard work enthusiasm (teacher questionnaire results 4.67, employee questionnaire results 4.66,) and students have a high enthusiasm for learning (student questionnaire results 4.53). (5) Development of disciplined and work training the most effective race against teachers and employees and students is by example. The conclusion of planting the character values as an effort to improve the work ethic of teachers and employees through mechanisms: (1) Preparation, (2) Implementation, and (3) Monitoring. The results achieved through the inculcation of the value of discipline and hard work can improve the work ethic of teachers and employees of SMK Negeri 1 Warureja in the 2019-2020 Academic Year. Recommendations: (1) The Head of the Education Office of Central Java Province, can use the cultivation of discipline and hard work as an effort to improve the work ethic in the ranks of the Department of Education and other Schools, (2) The results of the implementation of the inculcation of disciplined values and hard work practically it can also be used by school principals as an effort to improve the work ethic of teachers and employees as well as efforts to improve the quality of education in general and the quality of learning of SMK Negeri 1 Warureja in particular.

Abstract

Creative thinking is one of the 21st century skills. The development of creative thinking skills can be done using a learning model Project Based Learning (PjBL). The development of the model PjBL charged ESD (Education For Sustainable Development) aims to explore the potential of creativity and to instill awareness and concern for the environment for sustainable development. Research samples students of class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Bantarbolang. This research is a descriptive research with quantitative methods conducted by administering the test related creative thinking skills and attitudes of creativity of the students. The instrument tests the ability of creative thinking developed in the form of a description with the indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. Instruments creative attitude of students consists of multiple choice questions which includes the attitude indicator creative thinking skills students are curious, imaginative, and original in the expression of ideas, freely expressed opinions and see the issue from various angles. The results showed that the ability of creative thinking of students in the concept of the cell as much as 10% of students already have the ability to think creatively, while 83% of students have the ability of creative thinking are and 7% of students have the ability to think low. The results of the questionnaire showed 23% of students have an attitude of creative high, while the other is respectively as much as 53% of students have an attitude of creative medium and 23% of other students still have a low creative attitude.

Abstract

This research discusses about the management of extracurricular activities in developing students' interests and talents in SMA Negeri 2 Mendo Barat. Extracurricular activities are educational activities outside the subject and counseling services to assist the development of students according to their needs, potential, interests, and talents through activities specifically organized by education or education staff who are capable and authorized in school. The purpose of this research was to determine extracurricular management in developing students' interests and talents. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection by observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire. The research findings that extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 2 Mendo Barat are required for all students and have been running well according to the provisions set by the school although there are still some obstacles in their implementation such as lack of experts in their fields, lack of facilities and infrastructure that support the implementation of activities, the lack of motivation from students so that there are still some students who do not follow extracurricular activities. In addition, the extracurricular activities that have just been active in SMA Negeri 2 Mendo Barat amounted to 8 extracurriculars, namely soccer, volleyball, scouting, rohis, 4 pillars of education, Taekwondo, KIR, PKS. The very limited number of extracurricular activities is one of the reasons students do not participate in extracurricular activities at school.

Abstract

Scouting education based on multiculturalism is currently the main concern of junior high schools in Indonesia. The low multiculturalism as a form of decline in the nation's character is due to the weakness of multicultural-based education in the education unit. Scout management models are not yet available as an effective instrument for shaping multicultural attitudes. The problem of this research is directed at the development of multicultural-based scouting management education models in junior high schools. This study aims to: 1) describe multicultural-based scouting education in junior high schools in Demak Regency, 2) develop a multicultural-based scouting management management model design in junior high schools and 3) test the feasibility of developing multicultural-based scouting management education models for students. The approach used is a qualitative approach with research and development (R&D) methods. Research locus in 5 (five) junior high schools in Demak Regency. Data is collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, validation of experts and practitioners. The validity of the data uses four criteria, namely the degree of trust (credibility), transferability, dependability and confirmation. Data analysis uses interactive analysis through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Research results: 1) Scouting management education in junior high schools varies, has not been standardized and normative according to the characteristics of the education unit. 2) the development of scouting management management models including planning, organizing, implementing and controlling, involving the principal, stakeholders, frontline, scoutmaster, students through extracurricular activities. 3) the feasibility of developing a Scouting education management model influenced by (a) the scouting education management standard (b) the availability of developing an educational management model (c) the planned, structured, measurable and sustainable scouting education process (d) the availability of individual readiness and stakeholder involvement, (e) the existence of guiding scout coaches and (f) giving appreciation to students. The conclusions of this study are a) the management of scouting education in junior high schools in Demak Regency varies and has not been standardized b) the development of scouting management management models including planning, organizing, implementing and controlling and c) the feasibility of scouting education management is influenced by six success factors. Suggestions of this research are a) the Ministry of Education and Culture, to apply the scouting education management model b) kwarnas to study the development of this model as a strategy for the success of character education and c) kwarda, kwarcab., And kwarran. in order to review the development of the model.

Abstract

Efforts to Improve Language Skills in Introduction to Literacy Using Image Media in Kindergarten Children Group B2 in State Kindergarten Pembina, Temanggung District, 2017-2018 Academic Year. The basis and background of this research is the number of parents of children who want their children to be able to read and write in kindergarten. While achieving this requires an understanding of literacy as a basis for children's ability to start reading beginning. What happens in B2 class is a lot children have not memorized and understood literacy or the letters of the alphabet although in making various good strokes of ability. And the teacher still uses the old pattern so that the child tends to be passive. To be able to investigate this, the researcher takes class action, can literacy recognition be improved by using media images? students of B2 group TK Negeri Pembina, Temanggung District. This research method uses data collection techniques, interview observation, questionnaires and documentation. Technical analysis of the data used in the study is qualitative analysis. Analysis is carried out on qualitative data obtained from observations made on children and things that appear during the course of research. analysis will be used as a basis for the preparation of action plans at a later stage. The results of this study indicate that learning using picture media can improve children's ability in literacy recognition and even improve children's ability to read a few words. Children's creativity, children's shame, children's attention becomes focused, and the learning atmosphere is more interesting and enjoyable. This can be proven from the initial conditions of the ability to recognize literacy which increased 59% to 85%. Out of 24 children, 18 children were able to succeed according to the assessment criteria, 4 children still needed rocks and 2 children still needed intensive guidance.

Abstract

This study aims to develop virtual laboratory learning media based on discovery learning of the immune system and to determine the feasibility of a virtual laboratory learning media based on discovery learning of the immune system. This study is a research and development adopting the 4-D device development model. In this study the design of the 4-D development was modified into 3 steps (3-D) namely Define, Design, and Develop. The study was conducted at one of the state high schools in Sragen Regency. The research subjects were divided into two, namely limited trial subjects and field trials determined using simple random sampling. The data was analized by using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results of the study stated that virtual laboratory media based on discovery learning of immune system was created by using adobe animate CC 2017 with a design concept writing, images, animation, and video with characteristics of discovery learning models and virtual laboratory media based on discovery learning of immune system feasible to be used in learning based on validity tests from several experts with a very valid level of validity.

Abstract

In the effort of improving the learning process, teachers must try to apply learning models that are appropriate to the character of the subjects so that the students are more active and learning becomes more meaningful. Based on data taken from the results of the daily tests of class VII J, as many as 67.65% of the students scored below the passing grade, and the average daily tests were 67.73. Factors causing the low learning outcomes are learning models that are still teacher-centered, so students are less active. Therefore we need an effort to improve the students’ activities and learning outcomes. This study aims to improve the students’ activities and learning outcomes in the Organizational System of Life through Guided Discovery Learning Model. The subjects of this study were the students of class VII J of SMPN 2 Demak, totaling 34 people, consisting of 10 men and 24 women. This research is a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The research is said to be successful if the average daily test minimum reaches passing grade (80), classical completeness is at least 80%, and the percentage of student activity is at least 75%. The data collection techniques are using student test results, observation sheets of teacher and student activities. The results showed an average grade of 82.0 in the first cycle and 90.9 in the second cycle. Completeness of classical learning outcomes reached 82.34% in the first cycle and 94.12% in the second cycle.

Abstract

The results of kindergarten teacher supervision were found in teaching teachers not yet making plans for daily activities, so learning activities did not run effectively. For this reason, action guidance is needed for the teacher to increase his competence in preparing the daily activity plan. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of kindergarten teacher competencies in preparing daily activities plans through ongoing guidance through mentoring in the Sirih Gading Cluster UPT Department of Youth and Sports Education Kandangan District Academic Year 2017/2018. The subjects of this study were all kindergarten teachers in the Sirih Gading UPT Cluster of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports, Kandangan District, totaling 18 teachers. With this school action research, it is expected that 75% of kindergarten teachers are able to plan their daily activities properly. The action is carried out with two cycles each cycle there are three meetings consisting of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of the action from cycle I to cycle II increased aspects of the competence of kindergarten teachers in preparing daily activities properly and correctly in the Sirih Gading Cluster UPT Department of Youth and Sports Education in Kandangan District 2018 in cycle I there were 6 teachers or 33% increased to 15 teachers or 85%. While its activity increased from 65% in the first cycle to 90% in the second cycle. Thus it can be concluded that through mentoring can improve the competence of kindergarten teachers in preparing daily activities plans in the Sirih Gading Cluster UPT Department of Youth and Sports Education in Kandangan District. Based on the research findings, suggestions can be made so that: (1) Teachers before carrying out learning to plan their daily activities properly and correctly, so that teaching and learning activities take place smoothly, effectively and efficiently and learning objectives are achieved. (2) Kindergarten Supervisors are advised to carry out ongoing guidance in preparing daily activity plans, so that Kindergarten teachers are able to prepare plans for day activities properly and correctly and Kindergarten Supervisors are advised to conduct further research on the skills of Kindergarten teachers in carrying out learning to find other aspects that are not yet revealed.

Abstract

Social Studies which contains many memorizing material, specially about events toward Indonesian Proclamation, makes learning outcome in 5th grade SD Muhammadiyah 16 Semarang low. Teacher need to search learning model that match with Social Studies characteristic. Mind mapping model was considered can apply and increase learning outcome social studies. Method in this research using experiment. Researcher teachs students twice, with conventional model and with mind mapping model. Then compare the learning outcome. The result of this research is show that mind mapping model can increase social studies learning outcome in 5th grade SD Muhammadiyah 16 Semarang.

Abstract

This class action research was carried out because of a problem that occurred in Group B TK Dwijorini Tretep's children, namely the low communication skills of children. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the method of telling stories with puppets and to find out the percentage increase in communication skills of the children of Group B Kindergarten Dwijorini Tretep Temanggung Semester I of the Academic Year 2017/2018 after applying the method of telling stories with puppets. The subjects of this study were the students of Group B TK Dwijorini Tretep with 24 children. The research was carried out in November 2017. Data collection methods used were observation, documentation and interviews. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that through the method of storytelling using puppet props has proven to be effective in improving the communication skills of children in Group B TK Dwijorini Tretep Temanggung. In the initial condition, only 5 children (20.9%) of the 24 children who had communication skills developed as expected, Improved in Cycle I, 13 children (54.1%) received underdeveloped assessment, started to develop 5 children ( 20.9%), developed according to the expectations of 6 children (25%). After the improvement in Cycle II, children who received underdeveloped assessment 1 child (4.3%), started to develop 2 children (8.2%), developed as expected 18 children (75%), developed very well 3 children (12, 5%) and have reached the set standard of mastery learning that is the child is able to answer more complex questions, the child has more words to express ideas to others, the child is able to communicate verbally, has a vocabulary, the child is able to continue part of the story that has been played.
