Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the recitation method with moeko learning media (ecosystem monopoly) to improve student learning outcomes in elementary schools. This type of research is quantitative research using Pre-Experimental Design (non-design) research with one-group pretest posttest design. The results of the data analysis of students' pretest learning outcomes showed that they obtained an average of 60. While the posttest results obtained an average of 80, then the test was carried out with a comparative test. Then from the t-test, obtained  >  which is 2,755 > 1,997 so that  is rejected and  is accepted, meaning that the students' posttest results are better than the students' pretest results. Student learning outcomes achieved the criteria for mastery learning through the pretest score of 8 students 24% had achieved the criteria for completeness and posttest as many as 25 students 88% had achieved the criteria for completeness.

Abstract

This research is aimed at developing a learning model that encourages the skills of analytical thinking in science. The method used is research and development. The result is the ICAE (Incubation, Collection of data, Analysis, and Evaluation) model that promotes analytical thinking skills. Results of normalized gain tests show that the gain score is 0.28, which indicates that the ICAE learning model positively affects students’ analytical thinking, even though still within the lower category. The ICAE model also promotes the skills of analytical thinking in science and it has gained positive response from students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil pemahaman Nature of Models (NoM) mata pelajaran IPA pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Randudongkal Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Randudongkal. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode tes yang dijabarkan berdasarkan indikator pemahaman Nature of Models (NoM). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, al diperoleh rerata sebesar 56, dengan rincian 23% siswa dengan  kategori “bai”k, 54% siswa dengan kategori “cukup”,), dan 23 % siswa dengan kategori “kurang”.Kata Kunci: pemahaman Nature of Models, IPA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskrisikan 1. Profil literasi sains siswa, 2. Profil berfikir kreatif siswa kelas VII SMPN 11 Pekalongan pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP N 11 Pekalongan sebanyak 34 siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengambilan data menggunakan soal tes esai yang kemudian dijabarkan berdasarkan indikator literasi sains dan kreatif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMP N 11 Pekalongan dari skor maksimal 40 sebesar 11,6 ( 29%) dan dilihat dari indikatornya siswa yang mampu memahami fenomena sebesar 38,15 ( 53%), mengidentifikasi permasalahan ilmiah sebesar 2,1 ( 53%), menjelaskan fenomena ilmiah sebesar 2,2 ( 57%), menggunakan bukti ilmiah sebesar 3,1 ( 79%) dan menerapkan konsep sains secara personal,sosial dan global sebesar 2,5 ( 64%).Sedang kemampuan berfikir kreatif siswa SMP N 11 Pekalongan adalah 16,6 ( 56%) dari skor maksimal 32. Jika dilihat dari kemampuan siswa berdasarkan indikator kelancaran/ Fluency sebesar 1,6 ( 49%), Keluwesan/ Flesibility sebesar 2,5 ( 80%), keaslian/Originality sebesar 2,4 ( 75%), Keterincian/Elaboration sebesar 1,8 ( 56%).

Abstract

This literature study aims to obtain the thinking process profile of senior high school students in physics problem-solving based on differences in emotional intelligence levels and gender. In this study used literature study method with phenomenological analysis, functionalism analysis, and critical analysis. The sources used to compile this article include some literature on emotional intelligence, gender effect, thinking process, problem-solving, and several empirical study on students in physics problem-solving, especially in senior high school. The authors summed up the conclusions based on the results of the literature study as follows: (1) The profile of the thinking process is influenced by emotional intelligence level and gender; (2) Emotional intelligence is directly proportional to the thinking process of students in the process of solving physics problems; (3) Students who have high emotional intelligence are more likely to have high physics problem-solving skills; (4) Gender differences (male and female) in solving physics problems, generally, are still debatable, in which sense is it better? Then it further research needs that is valid and reliable to answer this question. (5) There is a strong tendency that the male gender is more resilient in dealing with and solving complex physics problems; (6) The gender of female students is superior in solving physics problems that require very high detail. The main implication of this article is to obtain the thinking process profile of senior high school students in physics problem-solving based on terms of differences in emotional intelligence levels and gender.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the use of liquid organic waste in live pharmacy plants to enhance student creativity in the concept of environmental pollution. The implementation of this research was conducted at SMAN 2 Pemalang. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The sample used consisted of one class, class XI IPA 1 as an experimental class with a total of 30 students. The research parameters measured included students' creative thinking which included aspects: think fluently, think flexible, think original, and think elaboration. From the results of data analysis and discussion, it was concluded that the creative thinking of XI IPA 1 students of SMAN 2 Pemalang was 5.70. (5.70%) of the maximum score of 40. If seen from the ability based on Fluency indicators 1.13 (37.5 %), Flexibility 1.10 (36.67%), Originality 1.08 (35.83%), and Elaboration 0.98 (32.50%).

Abstract

STEAM learning arises in response to the need to enhance students' interests and skills in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). STEAM combines "arts" with STEM learning for the purpose of increasing student involvement, creativity, innovation, problem solving skills, and other cognitive benefits, and to improve work skills (eg teamwork, communication, adaptability) necessary for career and economic progress. Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is Education for Sustainable Development empowering students to take responsible decisions and actions for environmental integrity, fair economic and community viability, for present and future generations, while respecting cultural diversity. STEAM learning with ESD is expected upgrade student creativity so that student can to finish the problem without sacrifice environment. The purpose of this research study is to find out the students' creative thinking abilities on the concept of polymers by using STEAM Approuch with ESD. The subjects of the research were students of class XII MIPA 4 of SMA Negeri 1 Bantarbolang. The preliminary study was conducted in the 2019/2020 semester 2 academic year. The data used the creative thinking ability test method and the creative attitude questionnaire sheet. After being collected it was analyzed and it was found that the achievement of creative thinking abilities of students amounted to 29.19 (36.5%) while the attainment of students' creative attitudes was 54.53 (74.65%).

Abstract

Creative thinking is one of the 21st century skills. The development of creative thinking skills can be done using a learning model Project Based Learning (PjBL). The development of the model PjBL charged ESD (Education For Sustainable Development) aims to explore the potential of creativity and to instill awareness and concern for the environment for sustainable development. Research samples students of class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Bantarbolang. This research is a descriptive research with quantitative methods conducted by administering the test related creative thinking skills and attitudes of creativity of the students. The instrument tests the ability of creative thinking developed in the form of a description with the indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. Instruments creative attitude of students consists of multiple choice questions which includes the attitude indicator creative thinking skills students are curious, imaginative, and original in the expression of ideas, freely expressed opinions and see the issue from various angles. The results showed that the ability of creative thinking of students in the concept of the cell as much as 10% of students already have the ability to think creatively, while 83% of students have the ability of creative thinking are and 7% of students have the ability to think low. The results of the questionnaire showed 23% of students have an attitude of creative high, while the other is respectively as much as 53% of students have an attitude of creative medium and 23% of other students still have a low creative attitude.

Abstract

In order to achieve the goal of national education, students are required to have creative thinking skills, especially in abstract subjects such as chemistry. This study aims to discern the profile of creative thinking in class XI SMA Negeri 3 Pemalang on the Solar Cell concept material for the 2019/2020 Academic Year. The research subjects were 34 students of class XI of Pemalang 3 High School. The research method used is the quantitative descriptive method. The variable of this research is the ability to think creatively measured through written tests in the form of essay questions. Retrieval of data using questions that were developed from four indicators of creative thinking, each question was scored with a score of 1-4 with the criteria of each indicator. Based on the research results of the creative thinking ability of 3 Pemalang State High School students is 16.6 (56%) out of a maximum score of 32. When viewed from the ability of students based on fluency indicators of 1.8 (56%), Flexibility 2.5 (75%), Originality 2.4 (65%), and Elaboration 1.6 (40%). The results of the students' creative thinking abilities are lacking. Therefore, the ability of students to think creatively needs to be improved in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of creative thinking ability of class X students of SMA 3 Pemalang on atomic structure material and periodic tables of chemistry subjects in the 2019/2020 academic year. The research subjects were 36 students of class X SMA 3 Pemalang. The research method used is the quantitative descriptive method. Retrieval of data using essay test questions which were then announced about indicators of students' creative thinking abilities. The creative thinking ability of SMA 3 Pemalang students is 12.44 (38.89%) of the maximum score of 32. If viewed from the ability of students based on indicators of Fluency 1.5 (37.50%), Flexibility 1.71 (42.71%), Originality 1.47 (36.81%), Elaboration 1.54 (38.54%).
