Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential for social capital of students at Pancasakti University Makassar, from the aspects of increasing trust, the ability of student social interaction, the reciprocal ability of students to develop and increase the capacity and abilities of students. This study uses a phenomenological research method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques of this research is done by interviews, observation, review of documents. The research data were analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the level trust of mutual trust between bureaucratic staff, lecturers and students has not been well developed so that there is still a slight gap in campus. Student trust in campus institutions is still considered lacking because many students think that the campus has not been transparent about the information needed by students, both academic and non-academic information such as scholarship information that can be accessed by the students themselves. Social interaction that occurs at the campus is considered not optimal because there are several high-ranking officials and lecturers who have activities or activities outside the campus, but overall the social interactions that are built on campus are considered good. Reciprocal has been built well because students and lecturers have mingled with each other during their grace period in the campus environment and lecturers, besides that their level of acceptance on campus is very good and open.

Abstract

The existence of Jamaah An-Nadzir has given its own colour to the development of Islamic da'wah in Indonesia, especially in Gowa district. This study aims to identify, analyze, and explain in depth the representation of Jamaah An-Nadzir non-verbal communication symbols and the An-Nadzir congregation's da'wah method by placing all the signs used by the An-Nadzir congregation. This research method is descriptive qualitative using the semiotic analysis model of Roland Barthes. This method is used because the researcher wants to learn in depth about the meaning of the denotation signs, connotations, myths and ideologies that exist in the An-Nadzir congregation. Data collection was carried out through observation and in-depth interviews with several figures and members of Jamaah An-Nadzir. The results showed that An-Nadzir's symbols tended to represent the other side of Islamic ideology. Myths and ideology of the symbols used by An-Nadzir such as robes, turban, beard and long hair that are braided as a whole are the culture and Sunnah of the Prophet SAW. Sociologically and philosophically, the way of worship and the communication process that occurs in the community is an exemplary concept.

Abstract

The development of internet-based communication technology has brought changes to the communication behavior of the digital society. Changes in communication in the digital era have an impact on the form of messages that previously used writing or texting through online chat services on social media to become audio-visual or video messages. This development is in line with the widespread use of social media in the digital community, especially women. One of the social media that is becoming a trend today is Instagram with the Instagram Stories feature as a feature that provides new things in communicating in the community. Based on this phenomenon, this study aims to determine how Instagram Stories brings changes in communication behavior among women in the city of Makassar. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach where the researcher makes observations through an analysis of the communication behavior of Instagram story users and is supported by the results of interviews with informants. The results of the study then showed that the Instasgram story service gave changes to the communication behavior of Instagram users which had an impact on the user's social life. Changes in communication behavior occur because they are supported by interesting information obtained from uploading photos and videos of users on Instastory.
