Abstract

The phenomenon of street children in Indonesia spread is a complex social problems .. Problems in this study were (1) why there is exploitation of street children as beggars in the Simpang Lima Semarang, (2) What forms of exploitation of street children in Semarang Simpang Lima area, and (3) What is the impact of child abuse against street children and the community in the Simpang Lima Semarang. This study uses qualitative research methods. The data was collected using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that there are three things that the background for the exploitation of street children Simpang Lima area of Semarang d namely: low family economic (poverty), community and environmental influences and the cracks and violent home life parents. Forms of exploitation of street children in Semarang Simpang Lima area is conducted by parents and are carried out by thugs. Impact of exploitation of children can include miraculous things: economics, health, psychological and educational for people while the impact of exploitation include: making restless road users, mengaggu traffic order and make people uneasy.

Abstract

This article aims at examining the implementation of vocational skills education in school. The location of the research is in SMA PGRI 3 Tayu. Issues examined in this article include kinds of vocational skill developed, how the school teaches vocational skills training, what the barriers and pushing factors are in the implementation of life skill. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research methods. The results showed that the implementation of vocational skills training in high skill PGRI 3 Tayu going well because of good cooperation from various parties. Skills taught vocational skills such as skills growing papaya, dragon fruit, orchids, flower soft-shelled, mangroves, making organic fertilizer, salted eggs, duck eggs incubator tool making, automotive, beauty, planting flowers antorium, raising chickens, raising catfish, marching band, and scouts. The factor that contributes to the success is is the availability of facilities and infrastructure, funding, teacher or teachers, the support of the parents themselves, the support of the government and the support of the business community. The inhibiting factor is the lack of land available for the implementation of these skills and the tendency of the students to become a civil servant and employees in bona fide companies.

Abstract

Community Kaliglagah use customary law on sharing agreements, a tradition that have been passed down through generations. This study aims at knowing the implementation of the agreements. The research method used was qualitative research methods. The research indicates that the implementation of agreements on production sharing agreements for the Village Kaliglagah is only based on an agreement between the owners of fields and tenants, a verbal agreement in nature, based on trust, without witnesses, and not done in the presence of the authority. The people use “maro” system for rice grown in paddy fields and “mertelu” for rice grown in non-paddy fields. Production costs for the system “maro” such as seed, fertilizer, and harvest wage rates are shared. Other costs are borne by farmers themselves. For mertelu system, the cost of production are borne by farmers except the expenses for fertilizer costs are shared harvest labor wages. Term of the agreement is not clear and unequivocal.

Abstract

The Minister Decree no 16 Year 2007 regulates that every teacher must meet the national standards of academic qualifications and competence of teachers. To realize this vision of Semarang City Department of Education held a Fostering Social Competence Civics Teacher Certification After the background is still low in terms of the attitude of a teacher interact / communicate with people outside the school. Formulation of the problem in this study were 1) how the condition of social competence post Civics teacher certification in the city of Semarang and 2) how the development of social competence post Civics teacher certification in the city of Semarang. The results suggest that social competence post Civics teacher certification in the city of Semarang as a whole has been good (82% post-certified Civics teachers have mastered the social competence and 18% post-certification Civics teachers have not mastered the social competence). Coaching to improve the quality of social competence of post certified civics teacher are through short-term training programs such as workshops, and seminars, and long-term program such as teaching clinic and MGMP (Subject Teacher Council). Programs still planned are PKG (Teacher performance Appraisal) and PKB (professionalism Sustainable development).

Abstract

The cultivation of moral values performed in the family fishermen is a form of informal education. The purpose of this study was to explore the implementation of the moral values cultivation in children in a family of fishermen, who were most responsible, what are the factors that affect and what are the barriers experienced in the cultivation of moral values in children in a family of fishermen. This study used a qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that: 1) cultivation of moral values in children in a family of fishermen in Tanjungsari Sugihwaras Pemalang Pemalang has been good enough. 2) Parties involved in cultivation of moral values in children in a family of fishermen are all members of a family of fishermen and fishing families from the nearest person. 3) Factors that affect the cultivation of moral values in children in a family of fishermen are environmental factors because the social environment will greatly affect children’s behavior. 4) Barriers to the cultivation of moral values in Tanjungsari is the low motivation from within the child’s own fishermen, besides other obstacles in the cultivation of moral values such as the rapid transfer of global knowledge, globalization and the development of sophisticated technology.

Abstract

Education Ministry data reveals that in 2007 only 17.25% of high school students who can continue to pursue higher education either S1 or diploma This means there are 82.75%, or equivalent high school-age children are not able to pursue a higher education. Data from BPS reveals that the majority of open unemployment is high school graduate or equivalent (15.2%). The magnitude of the unemployment rate of high school graduates is one factor they are unprepared to enter the workforce. Therefore, it is necessary to learning that leads to the formation of student life skill. The results showed that SMAN Pati has implemented life skill based learning and the students has applied those skills in in everyday life.

Abstract

Sale Community in Rembang adopts a ngunggahi ngunggah tradition of marriage, in which the woman proposed to or applying for a man who would marry. This tradition is locally called ngemblok. Ngemblok is one form of reverence to the relics of the past, a form of respect for the historical heritage. This tradition was passed on in people’s lives Rembang District especially among Sale community for generations through education in the family.

Abstract

SokoTunggal Islamic Boarding School Semarang has a very important role as a place to nurture religious tolerance for its students. The need for religious tolerance education is urgent because various conflicts in Indonesia are sourced from inter-religious issues. Religious tolerance education in Soko Sole Boarding School aims at nurturing mental and morals of the students in order to become a person with ahlakul karimah showed by tolerance to differences in people’s lives, especially religious differences. The results suggest the pesantren sucesfully conducts such program because the background of the Kyai , who is very tolerant, and the vision, mission and purpose of boarding school to teach the value of tolerance. Religious tolerance value is fostered through the habituation of students in interaction with people of other religions, the example of Kyai, and through learning, especially the books of morals. The factors that asupport the development of tolerance in the boarding school include: the competence of management, and the high motivation of the students. While inhibiting factor is the caretaker and students who also have other jobs so they are not always able to follow the activities of the boarding school and the damage of some infrastructure.

Abstract

Class IIB Penitentiary Pati has played an important role in providing moral guidance to prisoners through scouts education. This study is to examine the implementation and the barriers of the moral education through education scouts in Class IIB Pati Penitentiary. This study uses qualitative research methods. The results of the research shows that the development of morality through education has been running well partly because it uses among system, in which the supervisor set an example / role model to members of the scout. scoutmaster also get advanced course basis (KMD) as a guide to teach members of the scout class IIB Pati penitentiary. The inhibiting factor in the development of morality through education in a correctional institution Scout class IIB Pati, includes the diverse background of scouts training among the trainers, the lack of facilities in the clothing, and the lack of cooperation of the outside parties. Efforts to overcome barriers to the development of morality through the use of among system.

Abstract

One of the rights of children are getting education so that they have enough opportunity to develop their selves and talents in accordance to their talents and interests. Normatively, the Republic of Indonesia ensure the welfare of children, including the right of children to get a decent education and teaching. But, the fact shows that the dropout rates in Indonesia, including that experienced by street children, are still high. A phenomena in the city of Semarang is the growing number of street children. Ironically, the existence of street children is often overlooked and ignored by most people. During this time, the government’s efforts in addressing the problem of street children do not look up to. RPSA Gratama is one of the shelter that concerned about the fate of street children in Semarang. One of the programs is educational assistance program. RPSAs Gratama faces many challenges. this program. This study tries to find out the implementation of educational assistance programs in RPSAs “Gratama” for street children in Semarang.
