Abstract

ABSTRACT Identify Types and Population of Soil Fungi on Cabbage (Brassicae oleracea L.) Health and Infected Habitat of Clubroot in Baturiti District, Tabanan Cabbage is a vegetable that potential to be developed, because a lot of people favored this vegetable. Cabbage crop production level is often affected by the attacks of pathogen Plasmodiophora brassicae that causes swelling at the root. This disease can reduce the production of cabbage plants up to 80%. The aim of this research is to investigate species variety and soil fungi population on healthy cabbage plant’s rizosphere (suppressive) and diseased cabbage or diseased sympton (conducive) of club root (Plasmodiophora brassicae), and also soil fungi which more dominant on isolation result of soil fungi, to investigate the relation of soil’s physico-chemistry nature with soil fungi population, and to investigate fungi species that able to antagonize P. Brassicae fungi. This research used 3 samples of soil which taken from both healthy and club root diseased cabbage plant’s rizosphere, where the soil’s sample taken from 3 locations, that are: Pekarangan, Baturiti Kaja, and Pacung. The result of this research shown that there are 17 species of soil fungi found on the sample of suppressive and conducivesoil in three locations, where the population of Fusarium sp. fungi becomes dominant soil fungi. This research also shown that on the relation between soil physico-chemistry nature and soil fungi population was not positively correlated, and species fungi of Trichoderma sp. is able to inhibit the growth of P. Abstract

ABSTRACT Effectiveness Test of Rhizobacteria as Antagonist Agents against Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. capsici Causes Fusarium Wilt Disease in Chili Pepper  Plants(Capsicum frutescens L.) Utilization of rhizobacteria as antagonist agents Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. capsici was recommended. The objectives of this research were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of rhizobacteria as an agents of biocontrol. F. oxysporum f.sp. capsici was put in the center of PDA medium (control). Rhizobacteria as antagonistic fungus was inoculated four side onto PDA medium and then F. oxysporum f.sp. capsici was put in the center of PDA medium. Result of this research, Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates KTNA2 showed strong inhibitory activity against F. oxysporum f.sp. capsici. Percentage of inhibitory activity at 89,65%. Aplication of Pantoea agglomerans isolates GTA24, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia isolates KTTA4, Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates GSA6, and Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates KTNA2 in the open field could suppress the disease incidence about 33,33%, 43,33%, 56,67%, and 63,33% respectively. Abstract

ABSTRACT The Predator Diversity and Population Density Associated with Important Pest in Cabbage Plant (Brassica Oleracea L.) The cabbage plant (Brassica oleracea var. capitata L.) is an important vegetable especially in the highland, has been much cultivated and tried by farmers in Indonesia especially in rural areas. The vitamins contained in cabbage that is vitamin A, B and C which have important role in fulfilling human needs. The aim of this research is to find out the diversity and density of predator population associated with important pests in cabbage plant. To find out about the progress of predator population density associated with important pests in cabbage plant. The result of observation to the diversity of predator’s types showed that five types of predators were found associated with important pests in cabbage plant that was Menochilus sexmaculatus, Ischiodon scutellaris, Paederus fuscipes Curt, Dolichoderus bituberculatus, Oecophylla smaragdina. Diversity index of these types of predators was classified as low which was (0.60). Key words: Predator and Cabbage plant.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Effect of Biourine and Dosage of Inorganic Fertilizer (N,P,K) to Several Chemical Properties of Soil Pegok and the Yield of Spinach Plant (Amaranthus sp.) The research aims to find out the effect of interaction between Biourine and dosage of inorganic fertilizer (N,P,K) and to find out the ability of Biourine in reducing the use of inorganic fertilizer (N,P,K) towards several chemical properties of Pegok soil and the yield of spinach plant (Amaranthus sp.). The research was conducted on November 2012 until January 2013 at the green house of Pegok’s Experimental Garden in Denpasar, and at Soil Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. The experiment used Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors, including  Biourine concentration (U) and dosage of inorganic fertilizer (P). The observation parameters of this research were total N, available P, available K, C-organik of soil, the pH of the soil and the growth and the quality of the plants, which include the height of the plants, the weight of the fresh shoots, oven dried weight of shoots, the total weight of the roots, oven dried weight of roots. The result of the statistic analysis shows that the Biourine and dosage of inorganic fertilizer is not affecting all parameters observed. The use of the Biourine obviously affects all of the parameters except the available P, the pH of the soil and oven dried weight of roots. More over, the use of the dosage of inorganic fertilizer affects all parameters except which include the height of the plants the acidity of the soil is obviously affecting, and also for other parameters are not affecting.   Key words : Biourine, inorganic fertilizer, spinach plant

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Characteristic of Wetland Terracing in the Hillside Area and Its Management at Subak Jatiluwih, Sub-district of Penebel, Regency of Tabanan Subak Jatiluwih has a characteristic of rice field terracing which sufficiently taken into account as a terrace model and rice field management in the hillside area. In order to get the terrace model along with rice field management in the hillside area required a research regarding the subak land terracing characteristic in the hillside area along with its management. The research carried out by the method of survey and soil samples taken were analyzed in the laboratory the soil, and data management of terrace land were obtained through interviews to farmers landowners of sample. The research aims to find out the terrace along with the form of its land management, which is in the form of cropping pattern and irrigation system existed at Subak Jatiluwih, Sub-district of Penebel, Regency of Tabanan. The result of research shows that the steeper the class of hillside’s slope is, the narrower its terrace’s width, the higher its terrace’s height, the wider its rice field’s width, the higher its rice field’s height, the lower its inner rice field’s height, and the greater its rice field’s slope angle to its vertical plane. The cropping pattern being used at Subak Jatiluwih is cropping pattern of paddy-paddy-paddy and cropping pattern of paddy-paddy. The irrigation system applied is continuous simultaneously flowing system or continuous flow which does not need too many personnel to operate it.   Keyword : Slope,  Bench Terrace, Cropping Pattern, Irrigation System
