Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by pocket book to reading literacy skill. This quasi experimental research had quantitative method. The population of this research consisted of IV grade of Karangayu 02 in academic 2018/2019. It consisted of 60 studeents grouped into two classes: IV A and IV B. The sampling technique was nonprobabilty sampling with saturated sampling. The data was obtained from pretest – posttest. The data analysis consisted of normality test, homogeneity test, independent sample t-test, and N – gain test. The findings showed that reading mathematics literacy skill of experimental group classically reached 93.1% with average 84.13. Meanwhile, the control group classically reached 73.3% with average score 76.6. The t-test result showed that Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by pocket book was effective to reading literacy skill of primary school students. It could be concluded that Problem Based Learning assisted by pocket book was effective to improve reading literacy skill of students. It is suggested to develop further investigation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, supervision, evaluation and reporting and accountability of the management of school operational assistance fund in SDN Girirejo 02 Ngablak, Magelang Regency. Data were collected by interview, questionnaire and documentation, which were then analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the preparation of the RKAS was on schedule at the beginning of the fiscal year, based on the priority scale of school needs, and involved committees and teachers. The implementation aspect was not entirely successful because the distribution of BOS fund was still too late. Bookkeeping administration was in accordance with Permendiknas No. 48 of 2017. The aspect of supervision was still unsuccessful because there was no supervision from the school committee and related agencies on a regular basis. Evaluation activities by the committee had been conducted even though they had not been maximized. Reporting on the management of BOS fund in SDN Girirejo 02 can be said that it had been successful because it had made a report in accordance with the technical guidelines for managing BOS funds in accordance with Ministry of Education Regulation No.48 2017. The effectiveness of BOS fund management at SD Negeri Girirejo 02 reaches 63%, within the effective criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to analyze the internalization process of religious character conducted by teachers in the learning process in low class in Islamic elementary school in Purwokerto City. The type of research used is qualitative. Research Data is derived from interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis used in this research by triangulation. The results showed that the process of planting religious character in the implementation of learning carried out by associating the value of religious characters into the learning theme integrated in syllabus and RPP and applied in Implementation of learning. Research conclusion shows that the implementation of religious character planting in the low class in the implementation of learning in the city of Purwokerto carried out by integrating religious character book into the implementation of learning. The suggestions presented in this study are necessary to be further developed in subsequent studies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the successes and weaknesses of the academic quality assurance system for Madrasah Aliyah targeted by MEDP in Central Java. The research approach uses the CIPP evaluative model. The focus of research includes MA Al Irsyad (independent madrasah), MA NU Limpung (integrated madrasah), and MA YSPIS (madrasah pesantren). The instruments used included questionnaires, interview guides, and documentation. The data collected were analyzed using analytical descriptive. Based on the results of the study it was concluded: (1) the need for a comprehensive and intensive socialization in implementing the academic quality assurance system, especially in madrassas in Central Java, and (2) setting the standard quality assurance system in the madrasa environment .

Abstract

Strengthening character education is already widespread in primary schools, however, there are schools that have not optimized its implementation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the strengthening of character education based on social skills through the integrated thematic learning in Darussalam elementary school Semarang, consisting of planning, implementing and evaluating the strengthening of character education through the integrated thematic learning. The method used in this study was qualitative research with a phenomenological design. The data collection techniques was using in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the reinforcement of character education was carried out through three stages, namely planning which carried out by preparing and developing the characterized lesson plans, the second was implementation by linking the learning with monotheism and the stages of the five continuum, and finally the evaluation by using K13 attitude assessment and specific guidelines for monotheism assessment. The conclusion in this study was that the strengthening of character education is carried out through these three stages, each of which is implemented optimally by the school. The benefits of this study is that it is expected to increase the repertoire of knowledge and broaden insights about the social skills of elementary students in strengthening the character education through the learning activities.

Abstract

Academic service is a service directly related to students, in which college shall, in this case UNNES Postgraduate Program, in providing services attempt to understand and meet students needs, and eventually leads to students perception. A quality academic service will satisfy students. This research aims at (1) describing and analyzing academic satisfaction and service quality (2) analyzing the contribution of service quality to students academic satisfaction (3) determining most dominant contribution to students academic satisfaction at Postgraduate Program, UNNES.This quantitative descriptive research employs multiple regression and correlation analyses. Primary data in relation to academic satisfaction and service quality variables as well as all of their dimensions are used in this research.The research results show that: (1) the academic satisfaction and service quality perceived and received by students of Postgraduate Semarang State University are good. Descriptively, the result of academic satisfaction of communication dimension is the highest, while tangible is the highest dimension of service quality; (2) the contribution of service quality to students academic satisfaction is 50.5%. The result is marked positive, which means that better service quality will improve students academic satisfaction of UNNES Postgraduate Program; and (3) the contribution of service quality of tangible dimension to students academic satisfaction is most dominant at UNNES Postgraduate program.Educational staffs, lecturers and chairman of UNNES Postgraduate Program are suggested to improve services in responsiveness dimension and how to respond to students in providing them services, since it is the lowest dimension with lower than point three or below the average. The service quality of tangible dimension should be continuously maintained since it makes the most dominant contribution to determining students academic satisfaction.

Abstract

Teacher performance will be optimal, if it id supported by school culture, prosperity and teacher job satisfaction. The low productivity of teachers is suspected by the monotonous school culture, lack of prosperity resulting in teacher dissatisfaction. This research was conducted to determine the influence of school culture and prosperity on job satisfaction and the influence of school culture, prosperity and job satisfaction on teacher performance. This study uses primary data through the distribution of questionnaires to respondents. The sample in the study consists of 62 respondents. The data obtained is processed using descriptive analysis and quantitative statistical analysis. Quantitative analysis uses multiple regression analysis. The results of the regression analysis show that the direct influence of prosperity on performance is 0.044. The indirect influence of prosperity variables on performance through job satisfaction was obtained 0.233. Direct influence on performance is -0,356. The indirect influence of school culture on performance (0.136) is greater than the direct influence of school culture on performance (-0.356). It means that job satisfaction mediates the influence of school culture on work performance and satisfaction mediating prosperity towards performance. It shows that the need for an increase in school culture, prosperity and job satisfaction significantly influences teacher performance, both individually and collectively. It shows that to improve teacher performance there needs to be a school culture, prosperity and job satisfaction.

Abstract

Teacher performance is influenced by several factors, including teacher commitment, teacher profesional competence and teacher motivation, the higher the commitment, profesional competence and motivation of a teacher, the better the performance. The purpose of this study is to obtain concrete evidence about teacher motivation in mediating the effect of teacher commitment and teacher professional competence on learning outcomes. This research used a quantitative approach with a hypothesis study research design. The population of this study was 297 Vocational High School teachers in Blora Regency. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. So that a final sample of 109 people was obtained. Data analysis techniques using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques. The results showed that commitment had a direct influence of 34% on teacher performance. Professional competence has a direct influence of 26.1% on teacher performance and teacher motivation has a direct effect of 44.5% on teacher performance. Commitment has an indirect effect of 11.1% through motivation on teacher performance and professional competence has an indirect effect of 24.2% through teacher motivation on teacher performance.

Abstract

School management strategy in an effort to increase the absorption capacity of graduates is due to the low absorptive capacity of vocational school graduates in the business and industrial world. One of the indications is influenced by the lack of communication between the school and the business and industrial world. This study aims to describe and analyze the collaboration management of SMK Negeri 3 Semarang with the business and industrial world, starting from planning, implementation, and evaluation. This research is a qualitative research. Sources of data obtained from (1) informants from SMK N 3 Semarang and industry; (2) the process of planning, organizing, implementing, supervising collaboration between SMK N 3 Semarang and the business and industrial world. While data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques used include the following procedures: (1) data collection in the field; (2) data reduction; (3) data display and (4) verification and conclusion drawing. The results of the study: (1) Planning was completed through: the formulation of the plan by presenting an industry delegate, setting the plan with a plenary meeting attended by the teacher council, parents of students and school committees, and evaluation of the plan by Evabang; (2) Organizing, coordinating and collaborating between vocational high schools and industry to carry out learning in the form of theory by inserting character education, school practice, and practice, (3) Implementation is adjusted to the establishment of plenary meeting plans (4) Evaluation from industry, BAN-S/M and ISO.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) Describe Islamic character learning planning based on habituation in MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kudus Program Khusus, (2) Describe the implementation of habituation based Islamic learning in MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kudus Program Khusus, and (3) Describe the assessment / evaluation habituation based Islamic character learning in MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kudus Program Khusus.The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used was participatory observation, semitructured interviews, and documentation. The data validity technique that will be used is source, method and time triangulation. The data analysis technique used is based on Miles and Huberman's theory which includes data reduction, data presentation, and verification.The results showed that (1) Planning for habituation programs at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kudus Program Khusus consisted of several stages including, evaluation, coordination meetings, and program preparation, (2) Implementation of habituation programs at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kudus Program Khusus were well implemented and orderly, both in the school environment and in the home environment. However, the obstacle is sometimes the lazy attitude of the students, and (3) Evaluation (assessment) of the habituation program at MI Muhammadiyah 2 Kudus Program Khusus is carried out in 2 stages. The first is to use student achievement books for daily assessments at school. The second is using the 2013 curriculum report cards for assessment at the end of each semester.
