Abstract

Tujuan  Penelitian  ini  adalah  mengetahui  tingkat  keterlaksanaan Program  Pendidikan  Sistem  Ganda (PSG) pada tahapan 1) masukan (antecedents), 2) proses (transactions), 3) hasil (output). Subyek Penelitian meliputi Wakil Kepala  Sekolah  bidang  kurikulum, Wakil Kepala  Sekolah  bidang Humas DuDi, Wakil Kepala Sekolah bidang Sarpras, Wakil Kepala Sekolah Bidang Siswa, Instruktur/Pembimbing DuDi, dan Peserta didik  yang sudah melaksanakan PSG. Teknik pengambilan data melalui 4 cara yaitu : wawancara, dokumentasi, observasi, dan kuesioner.  Hasil penelitian  pada tahap   1) masukan (antecedents)  meliputi a) pada sistem PPDB menggunakan POS, kriteria kelulusan menggunakan nilai UN dan tes wawancara, belum menggunakan tes akademik, b)   Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP),  46 jam per minggu, jam praktek 16 jam; c) administrasi  PSG baik dan lengkap; d) ketersediaan mitra kerja/DuDi mencukupi; belum semua DuDi melaksanakan Mou, e)  kualifikasi guru praktek S.1, belum semua memiliki sertifikat kompetensi, 2) proses (transaction) meliputi a)  pelaksanaan PSG  selama 2 bulan (400 jam), b)  kualifikasi pembimbing PSG S.1, c) kualifikasi instruktur/pembimbing DuDi masih SLTA, d) kriteria penilaian dari pembimbing DuDi mencakup aspek kognitif,  sikap, dan ketrampilan, belum ada  indikator yang  jelas, e) keterlibatan pembimbing DuDi  secara periodik dan sesuai dengan  job pekerjaan, 3)  tahap hasil  (output) meliputi a) nilai hasil belajar/praktek kerja dari aspek kognitif, sikap, dan ketrampilan.  rata-rata minimal 7.5, belum menggunakan indikator yang rinci,  b) nilai hasil  ujian praktek akhir semester  rata-rata minimal 7.5. The declaration of  Central Java Government as a Vocation Province impacts the role of  vocational schools as the centre of  education and  training,  the centre of  science and  technology development, as well as  the centre of  production and marketing. Dual System of Education (DSE) was initiated by the former Ministry of  Education and Culture in 1994 Prof. Dr. Ing Wardiman Djojonegoro. It was a system  that  links and matches  the  interest between education and in-dustry.The objectives of  this research are to examine the implementation level of  Dual System of  Education in phase 1) antecedents consisted of  system/criteria of  student admission, current curriculum, school facilities, DSE administration, industry partnership and teacher qualification; 2) transactions consisted of schedule, supervisor qualification, instructor qualification, assessment criteria, and structural  involvement; 3) output consisted of   student achievement  in  the  form of  assessment  from  the industry,  student achievement after  the  implementation of  Dual System of  Education  in  the final competency test.The subject of the research was the Vice Principle of  Curriculum, the Vice Principle of External Af fair,  the Vice Principle  of  Facility and  Infrastructure, the Vice Principle  of  Student Affair,  Instructor/Supervisor, and students of  Dual System of  Education. The data were gathered  from interview, documentation, observation and questionnaire.The results in phase: 1) antecedents are: a)  in PPDB system using POS,  the criteria  for graduation use national examination score and interview result, not academic  test, b) School Based Curriculu, 46 hours per week, 16 hours for vocational practice, c) well-managed administration, d) sufficient partnership availability, some partners have not  implemented Mou  yet,  e)  bachelor  teacher  qualification, some  teachers  have  not had  competence  certificates; 2) transactions are: a) DSE implementation in 2 months (400 hours), b) DSE supervisor qualification, c) instructor qualifi-cation, d) assessment criteria with cognitive, af fective and skill aspect with unobvious indicator, e) supervisor involvement periodically according to  the  job description; 3) outputs are: a) result of  vocational  study and practice  from cognitive, affective and skill aspect. The mean was 7.5 with undetailed indicator, b) result of  final vocational practice. The mean was 7.5 with unobvious indicator.

Abstract

Penyolderan elektronika merupakan kompetensi dasar yang harus dikuasai oleh teknisi elektronika,  demikian halnya siswa SMK jurusal elektronika. Pada SMK jurusan elektronika, kompetensi dasar ini digunakan sebagai kompetensi pendukung untuk pelaksanaan praktik pada beberapa pelajaran produktif. Kenyataan banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam pembelajaran praktik ini, terbukti dari rendahnya prestasi yang diperoleh. Dibutuhkan latihan berulang untuk menghasilkan kompetensi maksimal dengan hasil penyolderan bersetandar industri. Pelatihan berulang ini perlu dilakukan diluar pembelajaran formal. Dengan demikian dibutuhkan strategi pembelajaran tutorial dengan peralatan pendukung yang mudah didapatkan sebagai media pembelajaran. Peneliti beranggapan video yang dikemas dalam format 3GP untuk dapat dieksekusi dengan menggunakan telephone celluler dan dapat digunakan sebagai media belajar mandiri atau tutorial. Video yang ditayangkan menyajikan instruksi-instruksi teknik penyolderan yang  dikemas secara sitematis, lebih lanjut pembelajaran ini disebut CELMI (Celluler Explorer Learning Movie Intruction). Dari penelitian yang dilakukan terbukti media ini efektif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi penyolderan elektronika pada siswa SMK Negeri 2 Kudus. Soldering of electronics is the basic competencies to be mastered by electronics teknisions, as well as vocational students jurusal electronics. At SMK majoring in electronics, basic competencies are used as support for the implementation of competency in the practice of earning a few lessons. The fact that many students have difficulty in learning this practice, as evidenced by the low achievements. Repetitive exercises required to produce maximum competence with industry bersetandar soldering results. Recurrent training should be done outside of formal learning. Thus the necessary learning strategies tutorial with readily available support tools as a medium of learning.Researchers assume that packed video in 3GP format to be executed by using the telephone can be used as a media Celluler independent study or tutorial. Video that aired presents instructions packed soldering techniques systematically, further study is called CELMI (Celluler Explorer Learning Movie Intruction). From research conducted this media proved effective in increasing students' competence in soldering electronics SMK Negeri 2 Kudus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) untuk mengetahui keefektifan media flashcards dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa; (2) mengetahui perbedaan aktivitas siswa dalam mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris yang menggunakan flashcards dengan yang tidak. Desain penelitian menggunakan pre test dan post test dengan subjek penelitian adalah 28 siswa kelas IIIb sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 29 siswa kelas IIIa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Untuk mengetahui keefektifan dalam penelitian ini diukur dari adanya perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, ketuntasan belajar dan aktivitas belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pembelajaran bahasa Inggris bahasan domestis animal berbantuan media flashcards efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelompok eksperimen mencapai 74,17 dengan rata-rata gain sebesar 0,37 dalam kategori cukup, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol sebesar 72,41 dengan gain sebesar 0,22 dalam kategori rendah. Aktivitas belajar siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Inggris bahasan domestis animal berbantuan media flashcards secara signifikan lebih tinggi daripada kelompok kontrol, terbukti dari rata-rata aktivitas kelompok eksperimen sebesar 88,25 sedangkan aktivitas pada kelompok kontrol sebesar 84,86 serta diuji menggunakan independent t-test diperoleh nilai p value = 0,024 < 0,05. Disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dengan flashcards efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar dan membuat aktif peserta didik. The problem of  this research was the complaints  from teachers upon the dif ficulty and affordability of  making  learning media. Therefore the objectives of  this research are: (1) to examine the ef fectiveness of  f lashcards media to enhance students’ outcome; (2) examine the differences among students’ activity  in English language learning. The subject was students of  IIIa and IIIb MI Islamiyah Bandengan Jepara in academic year 2011/2012. Pre test and post test were given to 28 students  in IIIb as the experiment group and 29 students  in IIIa as the controlled group. To examine the effectiveness of  this research, the students’ outcome improvement, passing grade and learning activity were examined. The results showed that  learning English on the topic of  domestic animal using  f lashcards was proven ef fective to enhance students’  outcome. The average  grade  of   experiment  group  achieved  74.17 with  average gain  0.37  in quite good category; meanwhile the controlled group was 72.41 with average gain 0.22 in poor category. The students’ activity  in controlled group is significantly better than the controlled group, proven by the average of  experiment group activity 88.25; meanwhile the activity of  controlled group 84.86 tested using independent t-test obtained from p value = 0.024 < 0,05. In conclusion, English language learning using f lashcards is effective for enhancing students’ outcome and triggering active participation.

Abstract

Salah satu faktor rendahnya penguasaan materi trigonometri adalah kurangnya pemanfaatan kemajuan  teknologi  informasi  dan komunikasi  dalam  menunjang  pelaksanaan  proses pembelajaran khususnya  internet. Pembelajaran materi  trigonometri di SMA saat ini masih banyak  yang  menggunakan  cara-cara  konvensional. Konsep-konsep  trigonometri  juga disajikan secara abstrak sehingga menyulitkan peserta didik dalam memahaminya. Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk  mengetahui  efektivitas  penerapan  pembelajaran matematika  berbasis e-learning dalam kerangka laboratorium Teenzania materi trigonometri kelas X di SMA Krista Mitra Semarang. Penelitian  ini  memuat  tiga  variabel  yaitu  keterampilan  proses, motivasi belajar,  dan  prestasi  belajar.  Pengambilan  data keterampilan  proses  melalui  pengamatan, motivasi  belajar dilakukan  melalui  pengamatan  dan  angket,  sedangkan  prestasi belajar melalui  tes  tertulis. Analisa data meliputi uji ketuntasan (One Sample T Test), uji pengaruh (regresi  linear/ANOVAb),  dan  uji perbedaan  (Independent  Sample  T  Test).   Hasil  analisis data menunjukkan  semua  variabel  melebihi  ketuntasan  minimal  70, yaitu  nilai  rata-rata keterampilan proses 78,24 , motivasi belajar = 79,86 , prestasi belajar 79,6. Terdapat pengaruh positif   variabel independen  terhadap  variabel  dependen,  terbukti  dengan  nilai signifikansi kurang dari 5%, dan terdapat perbedaan sebesar 11,13 dari rata-rata nilai prestasi belajar kelas eksperimen (79,6) dan kelas kontrol (68,47). One of  the factors inf luencing the understanding of  trigonometry material is the lack of  technology uti-lization especially internet in order to support the learning process. Trigonometry material in senior high schools  is mostly  taught by  conventional methods. Further, the concept of   trigonometry  is given  in an abstract concept that it makes students hardly understand the material.This research is intended to exa-mine the effectiveness of  e-learning mathematic www.teenzania.com in Teenzania laboratory on trigono-metry material for X grade students of  SMA Krista Mitra Semarang. Three variables included  in this research were processing ability, study motivation and achievement.  The data for processing ability were gathered from a written test, the study motivation was obtained from observation and questionnaire, and the students’ achievement was indicated from a written test. The analyses of  the data include One Sample T Test, regresi  linear/ANOVAb,  and  Independent Sample T Test. The results  show  that all variables exceed the passing grade of  70 in which the average achievement was 78.24 for processing ability, 79.86 for motivation, and 79.6 for students’ achievement. There was a positive ef fect from independent variable to the dependent variable proven by the significant rate that was less than 5%, and a gap of 11.13 between the average of  grade in experimental group (79.6) and controlled group (68.47).

Abstract

 Based on the writer’s preliminary observations in MTsN 2 Kudus, most of the Al- Qur’an Hadits teachers on nun sukun materials still used lecturing method, small group discussion, question and answer. These methods has not yielded a maximum result so that the students tend to be passive and bored in the class. It led student lack of enthusiasm for learning and then the learning outcome did not worked optimally. Regarding these problems, the teacher should give variation in learning, especially in learning methods to improve the activity and students’ learning outcomes through cooperative learning. The cooperative learning has several models. One of them is TPS model assisted by interactive CD. In this learning model, students are divided into some groups. The members must be heterogeneous. In each group, the members must cooperate and help each other to master the material. The objectives of this study are to determine: 1) the level of learning achievement of completeness, 2) the increasing of learning outcomes.This study used Thiagarajan research & development design with four stages of media development. Media was developed to obtain the better level of interest and effectiveness of instructional media and have been tested through the process of testing with the total sample of 98 learners (15 learners were in the small test group, 83 learners were in the field test). Data collection techniques used in this study were observations, questionnaires and test method. Data analysis used one sample t-test, two-sample t-test, and simple linear regression test.  The results showed that: 1) the learning outcomes of Al-Qur’an Hadits learning on nun mati/ tanwin achieved completeness criteria, 2) student learning outcomes improved.The suggestions are: 1) in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) era, there are a lot of learning media that can be produced by computer technology. Therefore, the teachers need to learn and master this computer-based learning technology,Berdasarkan observasi awal yang penulis lakukan di MTsN 2 Kudus diketahui bahwa metode pengajaran Al-Qur’an Hadits pada hukum bacaan nun sukun/tanwin yang masih sering digunakan adalah metode ceramah, diskusi kelompok kecil dan tanya jawab. Cara pengajaran ini belum memberikan hasil yang maksimal sehingga siswa cenderung pasif dan bosan dalam belajar. Hal inilah yang menyebabkan kurangnya semangat siswa untuk belajar dan akhirnya menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa tidak maksimal. Melalui metode Think Pair Share (TPS) dengan berbantuan CD interaktif ini siswa dibagi menjadi beberapa pasangan, anggotanya heterogen, tiap pasangan diharapkan dapat saling bekerjasama dengan temannya dan saling membantu untuk menguasai materi.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) tingkat ketercapaian ketuntasan belajar dan 2) peningkatan hasil belajar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (R&D) model Thiagarajan dengan 4 tahap pengembangan. Media yang dikembangkan telah melalui proses uji coba dengan total sampel 98 pebelajar (15 dalam ujicoba kelompok kecil,  83 dalam ujicoba lapangan). Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengamatan, angket dan metode tes. Analisis  data menggunakan uji t satu sampel, uji t dua sampel,   dan uji regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) hasil pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadits pada hukum bacaan nun sukun/tanwin mencapai kriteria ketuntasan; 2) hasil belajar siswa meningkat. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian  maka penulis menyarankan  para guru perlu belajar dan menguasai teknologi pembelajaran berbasis komputer ini.
PENGEMBANGAN PEMBELAJARAN CD INTERAKTIF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATA PELAJARAN PAI PADA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VII SMP 1 KUDUS

Abstract

Permasalahan yang  terdapat di SMP 1 Kudus yaitu masalah masih lemahnya proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan hasil belajar, mengetahui kelayakan pembelajaran dengan CD (Compact Disc) interaktif, dan mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran dengan CD interaktif   untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) pada peserta didik kelas VII Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) 1 Kudus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan dengan  subjek penelitian peserta didik kelas VII SMP 1 Kudus Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012. Analisis data menggunakan uji N-gain dan uji t satu sampel untuk pre test dan post test. Hasil Penelitian diperoleh rata-rata skor pre test hasil belajar peserta didik sebesar 83,71 sedangkan rata-rata skor post test hasil belajar peserta didik sebesar 92,07. Uji efektifitas dengan uji t.test menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan CD Interaktif  ternyata mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar yang signifikan sebesar t = 12,396. Hasil analisis data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan CD interaktif dapat mencapai ketuntasan belajar, sehingga dapat dikatakan pembelajaran CD interaktif layak dan efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Well-managed education can improve the competitiveness and quality of the nation as well as the quality of global community in the world. One of the problems is the lack of the learning process (include in SMP 1 Kudus). The objectives of this study were to describe the learning outcome, determine the feasibility of learning by using an interactive CD, and find out the effectiveness of learning by using an interactive CD to improve the learning outcome of PAI subject on the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kudus. This study is a research and development. The subject of research is the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kudus in academic year 2011/ 2012. Data collection techniques in this study used the test method, questionnaire for learners and expert validation, and documentation. Data analysis used n-gain test and one sample t-test for the pre-test and post-test. The results showed that the average score of pre-test was 83.71 and the post-test was 92.07. The effectiveness by using t-test, it showed that the learning by using interactive CD was able to improve significantly the learning outcome by comparing the amount of “t” obtained in the calculation of (t = 12.396). The conclusions are the learning by using an interactive CD is able to reach the exhaustiveness of study. Therefore, the learning by using interactive CD is effective to improve the learning outcome of learners.

Abstract

Surat  lamaran  pekerjaan merupakan  salah  satu  jenis  surat  yang perlu  dikuasai  oleh  siswa  SMK  guna menghadapi  dunia  kerja. Keterampilan membuat  surat  lamaran  pekerjaan,  saat  ini  di  SMK diajarkan pada mata pelajaran KKPI  (Keterampilan Komputer dan Pengelolaan Informasi), Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa  Inggris. Dua model  kurikulum  terpadu  yaitu  threaded  dan  connected mendorong  peneliti  untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan serta melihat seberapa peningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis surat lamaran pekerjaan  setelah penerapan model. Teknik pengumpulan  data menggunakan  teknik  tes  unjuk kerja, observasi dan wawancara. Pengolahan data dimulai dengan pengambilan data, reduksi data, paparan data,  analisis  data dan  simpulan. Penerapan kurikulum  terpadu baik  threaded maupun  connected dalam penerapannya  mempunyai  kesamaan  dalam  hal  materi  yang diajarkan,  yaitu  pengoperasian  aplikasi pengolah  kata dan  surat lamaran pekerjaan berbahasa  Indonesia dan  berbahasa  Inggris. Perbedaannya, kelas  threaded  diajarkan  dengan  team  teaching oleh  guru  KKPI,  Bahasa  Indonesia  dan  bahasa  Inggris sedangkan connected diajarkan oleh guru tunggal yaitu guru KKPI. Model kurikulum  terpadu Threaded maupun Connected sama-sama menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan menulis surat lamaran pekerjaan, meski  demikian  tidak  terdapat  perbedaan  peningkatan yang  signifikan  antara  keduanya.  Threaded mempunyai kelebihan yaitu dengan team teaching yang terdiri atas beberapa guru menjadikan pengalaman dan  pemahaman  peserta  didik  lebih  kaya. Kelebihan  dalam  pelaksanaan  connected  adalah  guru dapat merancang skenario secara mandiri. Simpulan yang dapat ditarik adalah bahwa kedua model kurikulum terpadu ini dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif  model kurikulum terpadu khususnya dalam keterampilan menulis surat lamaran pekerjaan oleh guru-guru terkait di SMK. Job application letter  is one of   the  letters  that shall be mastered by vocational students  for  the preparation of  entering work. Currently, the skill to write a job application letter is taught in the subject of  KKPI (Computer and Information Processing Skill) relating to  the application of  data processing, meanwhile English and Indonesian are related  to  the content of  the letter. Two models of integrated curriculum are threaded and connected to encourage researcher to describe the implementation and examine the improvement of  student skill in writing the letter after using the model.The data were gathered using the techniques of  work, observation and interview. Meanwhile the data were processed by collecting, reducing, describing, analyzing and  summarizing  them. Basically  the  implementation  of   threaded  or  connected  cur-riculum has the similar aspects in terms of  the material which uses word processing application (Ms. Word) and English or Indonesian job application  letter. The dif ference between  the curricula  is  the threaded curriculum taught by a  team teaching of  KKPI, English and Indonesian teachers but the connected curriculum is only taught by one teacher, KKPI.Threaded or Connected curriculum triggers the improvement of  letter writing skill though there is only a slight dif ference. The advantage of  threaded curriculum is upon the team teaching consisted of  some teachers with some background and understanding that would benefit  the students. On the other hand, if   there is no coordination, the teacher will rely on each other so the basic competence would not be achieved due to lack of preparation to make a lesson plan. The advantage of  connected curriculum is the independency of  a teacher to make a lesson plan. In contract, it could be problematic if  KKPI teacher does not master the material of  writing an English and Indonesian job application letter so the lesson will only be dominated by KKPI subject.Regarding the advantages of  integrated curriculum in KKPI with basic competence of  operating data processing software with threaded as well as connected curriculum, vocational teacher shall implement both model especially in the competence of  writing a job application letter. Some concerns that shall be taken into consid-eration are: concept understanding, types of  model and steps of curriculum design by a need analysis.
PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN EKONOMI PADA MATERI KONSUMSI DAN INVESTASI BERBASIS HUMANISTIK MODEL KOOPERATIF TWO STAY TWO STRAY

Abstract

Permasalahan penelitian ini adalah rendahnya rerata prestasi belajar peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Bangsri Jepara pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi materi konsumsi dan investasi tahun pelajaran 2009/2010 dan 2010/2011. Tujuan penelitian  untuk: (1) menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis humanistik model kooperatif  Two Stay  Two Stray (TSTS); (2) mengukur efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis humanistik model kooperatif  TSTS pada materi kosumsi dan  investasi. Metode yang digunakan    adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan tahap-tahap define, design, dan develop. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembang-kan adalah silabus, RPP, buku pegangan peserta didik, LKPD, dan TPB. Subyek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X SMA N 1 Bangsri Jepara tahun  pelajaran 2011/2012. Hasil penelitian menunjukan  (1) sete-lah melalui proses validasi dan revisi diperoleh perangkat pembelajaran berupa silabus dengan rerata skor 89,63%, RPP dengan rerata skor  91,52%, buku pegangan peserta didik dengan rerata skor 94,76% , LKPD dengan rerata skor 95,00%, TPB dengan rerata skor  88,54%. Semua skor tersebut termasuk kriteria valid; (2) proses pembelajaran  ekonomi  humanistik  dengan model TSTS pada materi konsumsi  dan  investasi efektif.  Efektifitas ditandai dengan a) tingginya aktivitas (66,67), afektif  (74,31), dan kreativitas (73,85), b) tercapainya KKM prestasi belajar peserta didik dengan rata-rata 85,28, c) ada peningkatan prestasi belajar, d) rerata prestasi belajar kelas eksperimen (85,28) lebih baik secara signifikan daripada prestasi belajar kelas kontrol (76,25).  Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat dinyatakan bahwa pengembangan perangkat pembelaja-ran yang efektif  menunjukkan tercapai. The problem  of   the  research  is  the poor  learning  outcome  of   students  in  grade X SMA Negeri 1 Bangsri-Jepara  on consumption and investation material in academic year 2009/2010 and 2010/2011. The objectives of  this research are to: (1) produce a valid instrument of  humanistic based  learning on cooperative TSTS;  (2) measure the ef fectiveness of  humanistic based learning on cooperative model TSTS for consumption and investation material. The type of  research used was Research and Development with modification of  model 4-D (becomes 3-D) following these steps: Define, Design and Develop. The types of  developed learning instrument were syllabus, lesson plan, module, LKPD, TPB. The subject of  the research was students of  X grade SMA Negeri 1 Bangsri-Jepara in academic year 2011/2012. This research can be a benefit for teachers as it provides an alternative for innovative teaching that optimizes the stundents’ activity as well as achievement.The results indicated that (1) after a validation and revision process, learning instrument was developed in the form of  syllabus with average score 89/63%, lesson plan: 91.52%, students’ module: 94.76%, LKPD: 95.00%, TPB: 88.54%; thus the scores were categorized as valid. (2) The learning process of  economy using humanistic approach with model TSTS on consumption and  investation material was proven  effective. The effectiveness was  indicated by: a)  intensity  of  activity  (66.67), affective  (74.31), and  creativity  (73.85); b)  the achievement  of  students with average 85.28 and the result of  sample t-test with p = 0.000. c) There was an improvemenet in students’ achievement proven by the paired sample  t-test with p = 0.0000.  (d) The average  in experimental group was  (85.28) significantly better than the achievement of  controlled group: (76.25) and  the result of   independent sample  test were obtained p = 0.001.  The effectiveness and validity of  this learning instrument show that the objectives of  research and development were achieved.
