Abstract

Based on the problem, it is found that the data shows that students have learning outcomes and cooperative attitudes in elementary schools. This research was written to describe the effect of the third grade students' understanding of Merdeka Elementary School before and after using the Problem Based Learning model with PowerPoint animation media on learning outcomes and cooperative attitudes toward fractional operations material. The research method used is quantitative research. This study uses a control group pretest and posttest design. Data collection techniques used in this study were tests, questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were performed using statistical analysis consisting of normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, independent sample t-tests, and Anava tests. Based on the results of the study, it showed that student learning outcomes after applying the problem-based learning model with PowerPoint animation media were better than before using them. The cooperative attitude of students after applying the problem-based learning model with PowerPoint animation media is better than before using it. Meanwhile, learning outcomes and cooperative attitudes after using the problem-based learning model with PowerPoint animation media were better than the cooperative learning model with fruit media. This study proves that the Problem Based Learning model with PowerPoint animation media can improve learning outcomes and students' cooperative attitudes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a significant influence between learning motivation and learning outcomes in mathematics. This study uses a quantitative approach using regression analysis. The population in this study were all grade 9 students at SMPN 11 Pasuruan City, while the sample in this research was 118 grade 9 students. The sampling technique used was random sampling. Learning motivation data was collected through a learning motivation questionnaire, while learning outcomes data was taken from UAS score data at the school. The data was then analyzed using the t test. The results showed that there was a significant influence between learning motivation and students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the problem based learning (PBL) learning model on critical thinking skills and students' motivation in learning mathematics. This type of research is a quasi experiment (quasi experiment). The design model uses a pretest posttest control group design. The population of this study was all students of class VII SMP Kesatria Medan in the 2023/2024 academic year consisting of 30 students. Sampling was carried out using random sampling technique and the research sample was obtained, namely VII-1 totaling 16 students as the control class and 14 students VII-2 as the experimental class. The research instrument used tests in the form of essays. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis which included normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests, namely the t-test (paired sample t-test). The results of the study show the sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that students who get the problem-based learning model are better than students who use conventional learning models

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of learning methodologies based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) on the literacy and numeracy abilities of students at SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. The population of this study was the Class VII even semester of SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan, which consisted of 8 classes. Class VII-1 served as the experimental class and class VII-2 as the control class when choosing samples from these classes using purposeful selection. There are typically 26 pupils in a class. A quasi-experimental research approach is the Pretest-Posttest Control Group approach. The author developed a three-question essay test to evaluate children's aptitude for solving math problems. In order to examine the effect of RME at a significant threshold of = 0.05, the t-test (independent sample t-test) is used. The hypothesis was tested, and the findings revealed a (2-tailed) sign of 0.000 < 0.05. As a result, it is possible to conclude that the Realistic Mathematics Education approach has a big impact on kids' reading and math abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how emotional instability affects the mathematics learning ability of grade VIIIA Islamiyah Medan students. Based on the hypothesis proposed, there is evidence that the emotional instability of grade VIIIA Islamiyah Medan students has a positive effect on the ability to learn mathematics. The sample of this study amounted to 37 students of grade VIII A MTs Islamiyah Medan. This type of research uses ex post facto quantitative models. The research material was 25 emotional intelligence questionnaire surveys and five learning achievement test subjects. The data analysis techniques used combine descriptive analysis with simple regression additional strategies. The research findings showed that in general, the percentage of emotional stress in students of 43.3% fell into the high percentage category. While in general, 70.2% put the picture of students' mathematics learning outcomes in the medium category. The equation Y = 28.564 + 0.976X was obtained from the findings of the investigation using simple linear regression. Ha was approved and Ho was rejected. Based on the findings of the significance test which shows a significant value of 0.000 where the value is significant 0,05. It shows that emotional intelligence has an impact on students' ability to master mathematics.

Abstract

This investigation was motivated by the low levels of critical thinking and curiosity among elementary school pupils. This study seeks to describe the disparities in fourth-grade students' comprehension of square and rectangular shapes before and after using the Discovery Learning model with Flipbook-interactive media. The method of investigation employed is quantitative research. This study employs a pretest and posttest design with a control group. This study employed assessments, questionnaires, observation, and documentation for data collection. Statistical analysis comprising normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, independent sample t-tests, and ANOVA tests was used to perform data analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, which showed that students' critical thinking skills obtained a sig. of 0.000 > 0.05, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, so that students' critical thinking after using the Discovery Learning model with Flipbook-interactive media is better than before using it. In the attitude of curiosity of students, the value of sig. is 0.000 > 0.05, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, so that After employing the Discovery Learning paradigm with Flipbook-interactive media, students have a more inquisitive disposition than before. Meanwhile, critical thinking skills and an attitude of curiosity obtained F 2.916 with a sig. equal to 0.000 > 0.05, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, so that critical thinking skills and curiosity after using the Discovery Learning model with Flipbook-interactive media are better than the cooperative model with visual aids.

Abstract

Learning while playing is an effort to teach material to students through games and without realizing it students gain knowledge and experience from an easy learning process. This study aims to determine the learning process of multiplication arithmetic operations using the learning media of snakes and ladders game for students. This study aims to determine the learning process of multiplication arithmetic operations using the learning media of snakes and ladders game for students. This type of research is a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design. The sample used was class II-C students at SDN Kembangan Utara 10 Pagi West Jakarta who were selected through the saturated sample technique. In this study using instruments in the form of pre-test and post-test. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Research shows that in the experimental class, the average pretest score is 45.6 and the posttest average score is 80.6. Based on the results of the inferential analysis, the t count value is 0.002 which is smaller than the t table of 3.509 (t count < t table). Thus it can be concluded that H0 is accepted because t count < t table or 0.002 < 3.509 means that there is a significant difference between the results of understanding the multiplication arithmetic operations of students who are taught with snakes and ladders game media in class II students at SDN Kembangan Utara.
