Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Hemodialysis is a catabolic process (breakdown of complex compounds into simpler compounds) in which amino acid removal and protein synthesis depletion occurred. Objective: To investigate differences in nutritional intake of hemodialysis patients at RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya. Research Methodology: This research is an observational research with Pre-post design. Purposive sampling technique was employed on 13 PGK patients who undertake weekly hemodialysis at RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya. Data of protein, sodium, potassium and oral intakes were obtained by interview and 24-hour food recall for 2 consecutive days of pre and post hemodialysis. BM photo book was used during interview and food recall. Data were analyzed using paired t-test. Result of the study: Most of samples were female (92%), ranged at 46-67 years old, graduated from elementary school and not working. Bivariate test showed p value of protein, sodium, potassium and fluid intakes were 0.022, 0.382, 0.075 and 0.836, respectively. Hemodialysis aims to restrain uremia, excessive fluid and electrolyte imbalance that occur in end-stage renal failure patients. Hemodialysis may increase survival rate of patients as it is effectively removing fluids, electrolytes and metabolites. Conclusion: There was a significant difference in protein intake and insignificant differences in sodium, potassium and fluid intakes of pre and post hemodialysis patients at RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Hipertensi merupakan suatu keadaan terjadinya peningkatan tekanan darah yang memberi gejala berlanjut pada suatu organ tubuh sehingga timbul kerusakan lebih berat seperti stroke dan penyakit jantung koroner.Diet DASH (Dietary Approaches to stop Hypertension) merupakan suatu diet yang untuk menghentikan tekanan darah tinggi. Prinsip diet DASH adalah tinggi bahan makanan yang berasal dari buah dan sayuran, dengan menggunakan produk susu rendah lemak, serta konsumsi ikan secukupnya, kacang dan unggas yang bersumber Saturated Fatty Acid (SAFA). Tujuan : Mengetahui pengaruh intervensi diet DASH terhadap perubahan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi di Puskesmas Pahandut Palangka Raya. Metodologi Penelitian :Rancangan penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen semu.Sampel diperoleh 20 orang yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Intervensi diberikan berupa buah dan susu rendah lemak sejumlah satu penukar selama 14 hari. Asupan mineral diet DASH (kalium, kalsium, magnesium dan natrium), diperoleh dengan menggunakan form food recall selama 14 hari, tekanan darah diperoleh dengan mengukur tekanan darah menggunakan alat tensi meter digital dan data dianalisis menggunakan uji Anova. Hasil : Sampel terbanyak pada umur berkisar antara 51-55 tahun danberjenis kelamin perempuan. Status gizi terbanyak pada kategori Obes I. Setelah dilakukan intervensi semua sampel mengalami penurunan tekanan darah. Ada perbedaan secara signifikan antara pengukuran sebelum intervensi dengan setelah intervensi selama 14 hari dan pengukuran ulang setelah intervensi pada hari ke 28. Pengukuran setelah intervensi selama 14 hari berbeda signifikan dengan pengukuran sebelum intervensi. Pengukuran ulang setelah intervensi pada hari ke 28 berbeda signifikan dengan pengukuran sebelum intervensi. Kesimpulan :Ada pengaruh yang signifikan intervensi diet DASH terhadap perubahan tekanan darah.

Abstract

The occurrence of stroke is usually associated with the type of food consumed daily. Nutritional management is important, because it may prevent the recurrent of strokes. Therefore, a dietitian will provide nutrition counseling for patients before leaving the hospital. This study aimed to determine the outcomes of nutritional counseling in stroke patients after being discharged from RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya, especially in terms of their dietary intakes and physical activities. A cross sectional study design was employed involving as many as 30 patients in August and September 2018. Nutrient intake data were obtained from 3-day food record within 3 weeks while the Baecke questionnaire were used to assess patients’ physical activities. Data were analysed using ANOVA test. Results: Most of respondents were female, aged at 45 - 54 years, nonworking and basic education level. Providing a nutrition counseling before patients discharged from hospital positively affecting their physical activities (sig. 0.001), but not for dietary intakes (energy (sig. 0.394), fat (sig. 0.824), fiber (sig. 0.503), sodium (sig. 0,792), potassium (sig. 0,906), calcium (sig. 0,792)).

Abstract

Asupan energi inadekuat, penyakit non infeksi, diet khusus dan lama hari perawatan merupakan faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya malnutrisi di rumah sakit. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan asupan energi, cairan dan lama hari rawat inap dengan perubahan berat badan pada pasien balita diare di RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya. Rancangan penelitian cross sectional yang bersifat deskriptif analitik. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang balita diare yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Data asupan energy dan cairan diperoleh dengan food recall 24 jam selama pasien dirawat. Data berat badan diperoleh dengan menimbang sampel saat awal dan akhir perawatan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dan uji spearman. Hasil penelitian : sampel terbanyak berusia 2 tahun (36,7%), bentuk makanan nasi lunak (86,7%), nutrisi parenteral KA-EN 3B (66,7%), asupan energy 40% defisit berat, asupan cairan 83,3% diatas kebutuhan dan lama lama rawat inap < 5 hari (73,3%). Sampel yang mengalami kenaikan berat badan sebanyak 21 orang (70%). Uji regresi linear sederhana asupan energi dengan perubahan berat badan p value 0,5, uji spearman asupan cairan dengan perubahan berat badan p value 0,049, lama hari rawat inap dengan perubahan berat badan p value 0,820. Kesimpulan: Tidak ada hubungan antara asupan energi, lama hari rawat inap dengan perubahan berat badan, ada hubungan asupan cairan dengan perubahan berat badan.

Abstract

Dyslipidemia can arise as a result of lifestyle changes. These lifestyle changes include smoking, lack of physical activity, alcoholism, a diet high in fat and less of dietary fiber. This study aims to determine the relationship of nutrient intake, physical activity, abdominal circumference and body fat percent with cholesterol levels of outpatients with dyslipidemia in RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya. The study design used a cross-sectional design with a purposive sampling method. The number of samples obtained was 48 people. Nutrient intake was obtained by the FFQ method and then analyzed with nutrisurvey, weight using digital scales, height using mikrotoice, physical activity using the Baecke form, abdominal circumference was measured using metline. Data were analyzed using the Pearson test. Results: The study show that the most of the samples were 50-59 years old, female with non-working status, moderate physical activity, abdominal circumference at risk category and thick fat percent with more category. The average intake of energy, protein, fiber are low, fat and carbohydrate intake are sufficient and the total cholesterol level are high. There was no significant relationship between energy intake (P = 0.404), protein intake (P = 0.765), carbohydrate intake (P = 0.876), fiber intake (P = 0.498), physical activity (P = 0.277), abdominal circumference (P = 0.737), percents body fat (P = 0.755) with total cholesterol levels, but fat intake was significantly related (P = 0.001)

Abstract

South Barito Regency with the problem of the prevalence of malnutrition reached 30.6%, the problem of short / very short and thin/very thin children was 33.6% and 18.3% respectively, far exceeding the provincial and national figures so it was necessary to get attention. Therefore, it is recommended that appropriate interventions in addressing these nutritional problems are by increasing the role of sensitive interventions and supplementary feeding. The research included quasi-experiments with designs before and after intervention with comparison groups. The study was carried out in two sub-districts. Data analysis used independent t-test and Chi-square. There were significant differences between maternal behavior after cadre mentoring in the intervention group and maternal behavior in the comparison group (p-value=0,000). There was a significant difference in behavior improvement between the intervention groups and the comparison group with (p-value=0,000). There are significant differences in the increase in underweight children after mentoring cadres with supplementary feeding. There is an influence of cadre assistance on maternal behavior in South Barito District. There is an influence of cadre assistance on the nutritional status of children in South Barito District.

Abstract

Knowledge in managing diabetes mellitus is very important because it can affect the way of life of patients in managing their disease. One of the means to improve patient knowledge and skills is to use video as a source of information about the diabetes mellitus diet (3 J). This study aims to determine the effect of final education with diet videos on knowledge and skills before and after education in type II DM patients. The research design uses a Quasy Experimental Design with a Pre Post Test Only One Group Design research design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a total of 18 samples. Inclusion criteria: aged 30-59 years, owning a smartphone, with or without complications of obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia and complications of kidney, cancer, liver as exclusion criteria. Data was collected using a knowledge and skills questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using univariate and bivariate (paired t test and Wilcoxon test). The results showed that the age of the sample was between 31-59 years and the most sex was female 66.67%, with the highest education level being high school/equivalent, namely 55.56%, long suffering from DM > 5 years was 61.11%, had a history of DM disease was 66.67%, the frequency of watching educational video diet ≥3 times was 61.11%, blood sugar levels after education decreased by 100%, knowledge increased by 77.78% and skills increased by 94.44%. The results of the analysis show the effect of final education with diet videos on the knowledge and skills of Type II DM patients before and after hospitalization at RSUD Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun.
