Abstract

The holding of elections in Indonesia is a consequence of the functioning of the democratic political system in the process of organizing its government. Elections themselves are one of the means of popular sovereignty in which the people can elect representatives and political leaders directly starting from the Regional Heads (Regent/Mayor and Governor), Legislative Members (DPR, DPD, Provincial DPRD, and District/City DPRD), and President and Vice President. The simultaneous election search for 2024 must be carried out safely, honestly and fairly. Therefore, it is deemed necessary to provide political understanding to the community in determining their voting rights intelligently and respecting the choices of others who differ from their choices. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide understanding and insight to BPD, Village officials, and the Village Youth Organization in the context of strengthening political awareness to welcome simultaneous elections in 2024. The method used in this community service is socialization in the form of lectures and discussions related to elections to 33 people from village representatives in Jatiwangi District, Majalengka Regency, West Java Province which begins with giving a pre-test and ends with a post-test to participants to see the increase in understanding before and after the socialization. The results of this activity showed that for the pre-test, the average participant obtained a score of 56, while for the post-test the average score was 69. With this, there was an increase of 13 points. This shows that there is an increase in participants' understanding after the socialization and discussion.

Abstract

Politik anggaran merupakan aspek krusial dalam pengelolaan keuangan negara yang memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap kebijakan publik, ekonomi, dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk menganalisis kebijakan alokasi anggaran dalam pengembangan objek wisata di Pulau Maratua, Kab. Berau. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni metode kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori Politik Anggaran yang dikemukakan oleh Veldimir Orlando Key yang menjelaskan 4 (empat) dimensi dalam poltiik anggaran yakni kekuasaan, kewenangan, kepentingan, dan strategi yang dimiliki oleh lembaga eksekutif (Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kab. Berau) dan lembaga legisltaif (DPRD Kab. Berau) serta bagaimana dari perspektif masyarakat terhadap alokasi anggaran dalam pengembangan objek wisata di Pulau Maratua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa politik anggaran dalam pengembangan objek wisata di Pulau Maratua telah berjalan sebagaimana mestinya, baik dari Lembaga Eksekutif yaitu Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kab. Berau maupun Lembaga Legisltaif yaitu DPRD Kab. Berau dengan kekuasaan, kewenangan, kepentingan dan strategi yang dimiliki, sama-sama memiliki komitmen dalam menetapkan kebijakan alokasi anggaran dengan mengalokasikan anggaran untuk pengembangan objek wisata terutama di Pulau Maratua. Sedangkan dilihat dari perspektif masyarakat, bahwa politik anggaran dalam pengembangan objek wisata di Pulau Maratua baik eksekutif maupun legislatif untuk lebih memperhatikan aspirasi dari masyarakat sehingga masyarakat lebih aktif untuk ikut berpartisipasi dalam menyusun kebijakan alokasi anggaran. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to improve public understanding of the KPU Helpdesk website for submitting complaints during the 2024 election, addressing issues in data verification and promoting more effective use of the platform.Method: Direct assistance was provided to guide the public in navigating the KPU Wajo Regency Helpdesk website, filling out forms, and uploading documents.Practical Applications: The findings help enhance the accessibility and usability of complaint services, supporting more accurate data verification and active public participation in the election process.Conclusion: The study showed high public enthusiasm for submitting complaints and increased participation in minimizing data errors, highlighting the value of user support for better election management.

Abstract

This study evaluates the policy of using the 2023 Kute Fund in Southeast Aceh Regency, focusing on its implementation, supporting factors, and inhibitions. The importance of this evaluation lies in the need for Kute funds to be on target, adequate, and contribute to improving people's welfare. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques that include interviews, observations, and documentation. Furthermore, the data is analyzed by reducing it, presenting the results, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the Kute Fund policy in Southeast Aceh Regency in 2023 is generally running well, but faces obstacles in terms of effectiveness and accuracy, especially related to the allocation of funds that are not always in accordance with priorities and the lack of capacity of the Kute apparatus in budget management. Factors that support success include regulatory support, community involvement, and a commitment from local government. Inhibiting factors include the low competence of Human Resources, the lack of socialization of regulations, and public pressure on the use of funds that do not comply with the provisions. This study recommends increasing the capacity of the Kute apparatus, strengthening the internal supervision system, and providing continuing education to the public on the use of Kute funds in accordance with development priorities. Abstract

This study examines the political socialization efforts conducted by the General Election Commission (KPU) of Musi Banyuasin Regency towards first-time voters leading up to the simultaneous general elections in 2024 in South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. First-time voters are Indonesian citizens who are using their voting rights for the first time in an election. The KPU of Musi Banyuasin plays a crucial role in providing these voters with understanding of the correct voting process. The study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, employing data collection techniques such as interviews and documentation. Findings indicate that the KPU of Musi Banyuasin has implemented intensive political socialization efforts to prepare first-time voters for the upcoming elections. These efforts involve adjusting the content delivered to ensure its relevance and comprehensibility to the target audience. Political socialization agents from the KPU require not only effective communication skills but also expertise in delivering information clearly and inspiringly. The interaction between these agents and first-time voters is crucial in shaping positive political attitudes and understanding.
