Abstract

This study aims to describe the design, analyze the validity, and practicality of the educational Game learning media based on Educaplay. This study aims to produce learning media in the form of educational Games based on Educaplay on cultural heritage material for the fifth grade science subject of SD Negeri 2 Selat which is valid and practical. This study is a Research & Development (R&D) development study using the ADDIE development model. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 2 Selat. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The subjects of this study involved three experts in each aspect (media, language, material), 2 teachers, and 7 students. The results of the study showed: (1) The design of the Educational Game media based on Educaplay began with an analysis stage to determine the characteristics and learning needs that occurred in the field, then designing the media which was carried out at the design stage including preparing supporting facilities for making media and making media designs, (2) The validity of the media was in the "Very High" category with a score of 0.85 (media), 0.9 (material), and 0.95 (language), and (3) The practicality of the media was in the "Very Practical" category with an assessment of 95% from teachers and 92% from students. Based on the validity and practicality tests, this learning media is worthy of being tested in the field.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant differences in the analytical abilities of students taught using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Augmented Reality (AR) media and those taught without the PBL model assisted by AR media on fraction material in mathematics subjects for fifth-grade students in Cluster VI, Sawan District. This research employed a quasi-experimental design using a post-test only control group design. The population consisted of 172 elementary school students in Cluster VI, Sawan District, and 82 students were selected as the sample. Data were collected through observations, interviews, tests, and documentation to obtain information regarding students’ analytical abilities in fraction material in mathematics learning. The results showed that the average analytical ability score of the experimental class was 78.50, while the control class achieved an average score of 70.00. Therefore, the implementation of the PBL model assisted by AR media had a positive effect on students’ analytical abilities in fraction material in mathematics subjects for fifth-grade students in Cluster VI, Sawan District.
