Abstract

This study examines the strengthening of religious character among Generation Alpha students through the instillation of religious values at MI Walisongo II. The problem addressed in this study is the suboptimal internalization of religious values, as some students still participate in religious activities primarily due to external pressure. This study aims to analyze the process of strengthening religious character through the instillation of religious values. The method used is descriptive qualitative, employing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that structured habituation activities, such as reciting the Qur’an, performing the dhuha prayer, and daily supplications, are capable of fostering discipline, responsibility, and religious behavior; however, the internalization of values has not yet been fully optimized, necessitating a more consistent and contextual approach tailored to the characteristics of Generation Alpha.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of an accelerated program for reading classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning) using the Nubdzatul Bayan method among Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students and to analyze its level of effectiveness. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design conducted at MI Darullughah Wal Karomah, Kraksaan, Probolinggo. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the head of the madrasa, curriculum coordinator, teachers, and students. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the implementation of the accelerated program consists of three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, the program is systematically designed by considering students’ readiness and teachers’ competencies. During the implementation stage, learning activities include memorizing nadzom (rhythmic texts), repetition of materials, and the use of musical approaches that enhance students’ motivation and engagement. In the evaluation stage, written tests, oral tests, and level progression systems are used to measure students’ mastery continuously. The study indicates that the program is relatively effective in improving students’ ability to read classical Islamic texts and enhancing their learning motivation. However, the effectiveness is not evenly distributed among all students. Differences in students’ abilities and limited instructional time are identified as the main challenges. Therefore, further development of the program is needed, particularly in adopting adaptive teaching strategies and improving time management to achieve more optimal and equitable learning outcomes.

Abstract

Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in elementary schools still faces problems in increasing student involvement and activeness during the learning process. This is due to the use of less varied learning media so that learning tends to be monotonous and less interesting. This study aims to describe the use of Zep Quiz as a digital learning medium and its role in improving the quality of teaching science in grade VI of SD Islam Darut Tauhid. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects of the study include teachers and students of grade VI of Darut Tauhid Islamic Elementary School. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques to describe the process and results of the use of learning media. The results of the study show that the use of Zep Quiz is able to increase student involvement and activeness in learning, create a more interactive learning atmosphere, and help teachers in delivering materials and evaluating learning more effectively. In addition, the use of this media also provides a fun learning experience for students. Thus, Zep Quiz can be used as an alternative digital learning media that supports improving the quality of teaching science in grade VI of elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of transforming English learning through the implementation of flashcard-based active learning and to identify changes in the learning independence of third-grade students at SD Zainul Hasan Genggong. This study is motivated by the low level of students’ learning independence, which is indicated by passive behavior, dependence on the teacher, and a lack of initiative in participating in the learning process. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving 24 third-grade students as the research subjects. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation to obtain comprehensive information about the learning process. Data analysis was conducted interactively through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The results show that the implementation of flashcard-based active learning successfully transforms the learning process from teacher-centered to student-centered. This transformation is characterized by increased student participation, more dynamic classroom interaction, and greater confidence among students in expressing their ideas. In addition, students’ learning independence improves, as indicated by the development of initiative, responsibility, and self-confidence in completing tasks without excessive dependence on the teacher. Therefore, the implementation of flashcard-based active learning is effective in creating a more active, concrete, and meaningful learning experience, as well as in promoting the development of learning independence among elementary school students.Keywords: active learning, flashcards, learning independence.
