Abstract

Learning means changing. Conditions of learning rely on a person's organizational thought against the learning process. One’s organizational thought is categorized into three major categories, each of which is divided into two phases: pre-conventional, conventional, and post-conventional. The teaching world, not least Bina Nusantara university, should play a role in developing the organizational thought /moral development of every person whom becomes the believer. This moral mapping may be information underlying the learning model. This mapping is generated through qualitative research of 10 Bina Nusantara university students, grade 04, PAF. Data collection technique used observational-partisipative method with the instrument of three moral dilemmas and Kohlberg’s moral stage development indicators. The results in the form of mapping of moral development is reported in the form of pie charts moral The study also resulted in the proposal of moral learning model that can be tested in subsequent research.

Abstract

This article discusses the development of human resources within an organization or company. One approach that can be done to improve the quality of human resources is mentoring activities. By using library study method, research found that mentoring activities give a positive impact not only for the mentee but also for the mentor and can improve performance of the organization or company. Thus mentoring with a variety of models can be used effectively for the development of human resources in order to support the organization to be more competitive and to face the globalization. Although there are challenges in implementing mentoring activities, with good planning and regular evaluation, maximum results can be achieved.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication is transactional and two-way direction. Therefore active listening skills play a key role in interpersonal communication. These active listening skills can have a positive impact on communication and at the same time creating a better relationship. So it is very useful to improve the skills of active listening. This paper intends to reveal the important role of active listening skills in interpersonal communication, identifying the challenges that exist within it both internally and externally as well as indicate the action that needs to be developed to improve these skills.

Abstract

To be successful in a particular field, someone does not only rely on academic ability or technical skills. There is another ability that has big contribution to determine the success, which is the ability to manage emotions well or emotional intelligence. It was found many cases which people have failed not because they lack of the potential for mastery of academic or technical skills but they lack of the skills to manage their emotions. Speaking about emotional intelligence, there are five things to consider: self-awareness, self control, motivation, empathy, and social skills. These five things work together in developing emotional intelligence. If emotional intelligence can be realized and well developed, it can be a benefit for students who are studying in universities. The hope is the systematic development of emotional intelligence will best promote student achievement in learning.

Abstract

This article discussed the role of character development through the inculcation of the values contained in Pancasila to achieve sovereignty of the nation. Character development became a priority to look at the situation and condition of the nation that appreciation and application of the main values of Pancasila was degraded. Embedding Pancasila values creatively should be implemented in a variety of learning processes both formal and informal. Basic values contained in Pancasila was not only a slogan, but also became the guiding principles in facing all of challenges and threats of the nation. The purpose of this study was to strengthen the resilience of ourselves as a nation. With such resilience, then sovereignty as a great nation can be enforced. The method used in writing this article was literature studies approach. The result of this study is if the values of Pancasila (das sollen) has become daily reality (das Sein), it can build good resistance by itself. Whatever challenges or threats are faced, it will be resolved properly and may even be a stepping-stone to be better.
