Abstract

Analyses).

Abstract

This study reviews the development of research on lesson study and school as a learning community and positions bibliometric mapping as supporting evidence for understanding research trends. The review focuses on lesson study, school as a learning community, learning design, authentic learning, reflection, and embodied learning as interconnected concepts for improving teaching quality and collaborative professional learning. A literature review supported by bibliometric analysis was conducted using documents retrieved from Google Scholar through Publish or Perish and visualized using VOSviewer. Research in this field connects teacher collaboration, reflective practice, curriculum design, professional development, and student-centered learning. Bibliometric results show publication trends, document types, highly cited works, and keyword clusters. The study contributes a conceptual synthesis for strengthening school-based professional learning and SDGs-oriented educational transformation.

Abstract

Traditional vocational art and design education in China often emphasizes technical skills while providing limited support for creative problem-solving. This study developed and evaluated an artificial intelligence (AI)-augmented curriculum to enhance design thinking and support Sustainable Development Goals in Chinese vocational education. A bibliometric and mixed-methods design was applied through curriculum mapping, pre-test and post-test measurement, and semi-structured interviews. The findings showed improvement in overall design thinking, especially collaboration, problem orientation, and test iteration. However, empathy developed more slowly because generative AI produced standardized outputs with limited emotional depth. The study highlights the value of integrating AI with human guidance, reflective practice, and ethical creative judgment.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an instructional model that enhances innovative thinking skills in interior design students by integrating emotional design theory, constructivist learning theory, and creative thinking theory. Using a research and development approach, the model was constructed through needs analysis, expert validation, and empirical implementation. Pre-test and post-test comparisons, along with classroom observations and student feedback, demonstrated significant improvement in flexibility, fluency, originality, and precision of thinking. The model was particularly effective because it aligns theoretical learning with practical application, encouraging student engagement and deeper cognitive processing. As a result, students demonstrated increased creativity, improved design output, and greater collaborative capacity. The instructional model presents a promising framework for fostering innovation in design education. This study supports current issues in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance students’ occupational identity and self-efficacy in art and design education through a theory-integrated self-education model. Using a mixed-methods approach grounded in Social Cognitive Theory, Vocational Identity Theory, and Career Self-Efficacy Theory, the model was developed and tested with first-year vocational students. The model’s effectiveness was evaluated through pre- and post-intervention assessments and qualitative interviews. Results revealed improvements in identity awareness, career exploration, and self-efficacy dimensions, including problem-solving and career planning. These improvements occurred because the model integrated project-based learning, industry exposure, and structured reflection, enabling students to link learning with future careers. This has implications for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (quality education) by promoting inclusive, relevant, and future-oriented learning frameworks for creative vocational education. The model provides educators and policymakers with a replicable structure for supporting professional growth in rapidly evolving industries.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a pedagogical model for innovation and entrepreneurship education that enhances students’ creativity and attitudes, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4 on quality education. The model (referred to as the E-Learning- Presentation-Assimilation-Discussion-Project-Based (EPP) Model) combines online learning, structured classroom interaction, and experiential projects. Grounded in Constructivism Theory, Educational Ecology Theory, and the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ), 9the model was developed using expert validation and implemented in a classroom setting. Students showed notable gains in creativity and learning attitudes after the intervention. These outcomes occurred because the model fosters active engagement, collaborative exploration, and reflective application. The impact of this integrated instructional design offers practical guidance for advancing student-centered, sustainable entrepreneurship education in higher learning institutions
