Abstract

Educational leadership is at the core of change and progress in the world of education. This article aims to delve deeper into these concepts. We will outline the characteristics, models, strategies, as well as key factors that form the foundation of successful educational leadership. This research employs a literature review method by gathering relevant literature on educational leadership. Islamic educational leadership is the ability of school principals to influence the actions and thought processes of teachers or staff, both individually and collectively, and instill awareness and a desire to achieve educational goals in accordance with Islamic values. The characteristics of educational leadership are based on the qualities of the Prophet Muhammad, namely truthfulness (shiddiq), trustworthiness (amanah), communication (tabligh), and intelligence (fathanah). Educational leadership strategies encompass aspects of planning, organizing, directing, and supervising. The success of educational leadership is influenced by several factors, including insight and skills, institution or position, personality, and personal attitudes.

Abstract

This study was conducted in response to the challenges of modern education that tend to prioritize academic achievement without adequately strengthening students’ religious character and leadership values. The dichotomy between science and religion is considered to contribute to the weakening of students’ moral awareness, making it necessary to examine educational models that integrate science and Islam holistically. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the science-Islam integration concept in the Insan Pro Olympic and research program at MAN 2 Kota Malang and its implications for the formation of students’ superior character. The study employed a qualitative approach with a field research design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the head of the Insan Pro program and Olympic students, as well as documentation of religious and academic activities. The collected data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the integration of science and Islam is implemented conceptually through the madrasah’s vision, mission, goals, and institutional culture, and practically through the habituation of religious activities such as congregational prayer, Qur’anic recitation, Quzido (Qur’an, dhikr, and prayer), tausiyah, tahajud prayer, and Islamic motivation sessions within the Olympic coaching process. This integration contributes to the development of superior character traits among students, including religiosity, discipline, responsibility, social awareness, honesty, and leadership with noble morals. The study concludes that the consistent integration of science and Islamic values can serve as an effective model for balancing academic excellence and character education in madrasah environments.

Abstract

Transformasi digital dalam bidang pendidikan mendorong penggunaan media evaluasi pembelajaran yang interaktif dan sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), proses evaluasi diarahkan pada pengukuran aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik yang berkaitan dengan pembentukan nilai akidah akhlak. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi penggunaan media interaktif Wordwall dalam evaluasi pembelajaran PAI pada elemen Akidah Akhlak di kelas XI SMA Al Izzah International Islamic Boarding School. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling dengan melibatkan peserta didik kelas XI yang mengikuti evaluasi menggunakan Wordwall. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Matthew B. Miles dan A. Michael Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Wordwall yang disusun berdasarkan tujuan pembelajaran dan indikator evaluasi mampu meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, dan partisipasi peserta didik dalam kegiatan evaluasi pembelajaran. Media ini membantu peserta didik memahami materi qada dan qadar melalui penyajian soal yang interaktif, variatif, dan dilengkapi umpan balik secara langsung. Penggunaan Wordwall turut membantu guru dalam mengidentifikasi capaian hasil belajar peserta didik pada aspek kognitif dan afektif. Meskipun demikian, pengembangan tampilan visual masih diperlukan agar pengalaman belajar peserta didik menjadi lebih menarik dan beragam. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, Wordwall berpotensi digunakan sebagai media evaluasi digital yang efektif dan relevan dalam pembelajaran PAI berbasis nilai akidah akhlak.
