Abstract

This community service activity aimed to empower members of PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment) and Karang Taruna in Desa Petanang, Lembak District, Muara Enim Regency through a workshop on making flower crafts from pipe cleaners. The activity was conducted on January 26, 2026, involving approximately 35 participants consisting of 15 PKK members and 20 youth and community members. The method used was participatory training and mentoring, including planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Participants received introductory material on creative economy concepts followed by demonstrations and hands-on practice in creating sunflower, aster, and lavender crafts. The results showed that most participants were able to independently produce at least one flower craft with satisfactory quality. The workshop not only improved participants’ technical skills and creativity but also strengthened social collaboration between women and youth groups. Furthermore, the activity fostered entrepreneurial motivation and opened opportunities for developing home-based micro-enterprises. Therefore, the workshop contributed positively to enhancing community capacity and supporting sustainable village economic empowerment.

Abstract

This article examines the concept of knowledge ('ilm) in the normative Islamic perspective through an epistemological approach, based on the verses of the Qur'an and the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Unlike Western epistemology, which strictly separates reason, empiricism, and intuition, Islam offers an integration of all three within the framework of tawhid (divine unity). This research employs the methods of thematic exegesis (tafsir maudhu'i) and thematic hadith extraction (takhrij). The main findings indicate that: (1) the sources of knowledge in Islam are not limited to the sensory world (hissi) and reason ('aql), but also include the purified heart (qalb) as a receiver of ladunni knowledge (divinely gifted knowledge) as well as revelation as the highest source; (2) the validity of knowledge is measured not only by logical coherence and empirical verification, but also by its alignment with revelation and its moral impact (akhlak); (3) the ultimate purpose of knowledge is al-'ilm al-nafi' (beneficial knowledge) that brings one closer to Allah and benefits the universe. In conclusion, normative Islamic epistemology offers a holistic paradigm of knowledge that simultaneously integrates ontological, epistemological, and axiological aspects, while also serving as a solution to the dichotomy of knowledge that has long characterized Islamic education.

Abstract

Women’s empowerment is a key strategy to enhance rural economic independence through the development of local potential-based enterprises and the utilization of digital technology. In Petanang Village, Lembak District, Muara Enim Regency, women process cassava into crackers; however, product innovation and marketing remain limited to conventional methods. This community service program aimed to improve women’s capacity through cassava sponge cake innovation and the optimization of social media with the assistance of the local youth organization (Karang Taruna) as digital facilitators. The method applied was a participatory approach involving observation, product innovation training, and digital marketing assistance. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ skills in producing value-added products and utilizing social media for promotion. This program has the potential to serve as a sustainable empowerment model for women-led MSMEs based on local resources and digital literacy. Abstract

This study was driven by the low creativity level of second-grade students at SD Negeri 38 Prabumulih, as indicated by monotonous learning processes, limited chances for students to show their imagination, and the suboptimal use of learning media that stimulate creativity. This study aimed to determine the level of students’ creativity before and after the implementation of the Magic Box learning media and to examine whether there was a significant difference after its application in Islamic Education, specifically on the topic of Angels of Allah. A quantitative approach was adopted in this study, applying a pre-experimental design that incorporated a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of 56 second-grade students selected using a total sampling technique. Research data were collected by observation, a creativity questionnaire consisting of 20 items, documentation, and semi-structured interviews. Data analysis techniques included validity testing, reliability testing (Cronbach’s Alpha), normality testing (Shapiro-Wilk), and hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample t-Test with the assistance of SPSS software. The results showed that the average creativity score of students before the implementation of the media (pretest) was 36.95, categorized as low. After the implementation of the Magic Box media, the average creativity score (posttest) increased to 71.63, with an improvement of 34.68 points. The paired samples t-test yielded a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) below 0.001, which falls under the 0.05 threshold, thereby confirming a statistically significant disparity between pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of Magic Box learning media is effective in improving the creativity of second-grade students at SD Negeri 38 Prabumulih
