Abstract

The advancement of higher education institutions is greatly determined by the effectiveness of academic and non-academic management integrated with educational values. In the context of Christian education, the management is not only oriented toward cognitive achievements but also toward the formation of character and spirituality of the students. The phenomenon that occurs shows that most students still tend to understand the concept of educational management theoretically without being able to implement it critically and contextually in real practice. This research aims to analyze the implementation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in the Educational Management course based on Christian educational values. The method used is qualitative research with a literature study approach thru the analysis of various relevant literature sources. The research results show that the application of HOTS can enhance students' abilities in analysis, evaluation, and creation in understanding educational management. Furthermore, the integration of HOTS with Christian values strengthens the formation of character, ethics, and spirituality among students. Thus, HOTS not only functions as a cognitive strategy but also as a means of forming a reflective, critical, and faith-based personality. Abstrak:Kemajuan perguruan tinggi sangat ditentukan oleh efektivitas manajemen akademik dan nonakademik yang terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan. Dalam konteks pendidikan Kristen, pengelolaan tersebut tidak hanya berorientasi pada capaian kognitif, tetapi juga pada pembentukan karakter dan spiritualitas peserta didik. Fenomena yang terjadi menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta didik masih cenderung memahami konsep manajemen pendidikan secara teoritis tanpa mampu mengimplementasikannya secara kritis dan kontekstual dalam praktik nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) dalam mata kuliah Manajemen Pendidikan berbasis nilai-nilai pendidikan Kristen. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka melalui analisis berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan HOTS mampu meningkatkan kemampuan analisis, evaluasi, dan kreasi peserta didik dalam memahami manajemen pendidikan. Selain itu, integrasi HOTS dengan nilai Kristiani memperkuat pembentukan karakter, etika, dan spiritualitas peserta didik. Dengan demikian, HOTS tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai strategi kognitif, tetapi juga sebagai sarana pembentukan pribadi yang reflektif, kritis, dan berlandaskan iman. Kata Kunci: HOTS, Manajemen Pendidikan, Pendidikan Agama Kristen.

Abstract

This Community Service Program presents a spiritual intervention through "Bible Study Based on Psalm 32" for the congregation of GKB Bahtera Hayat Semarang. The context of modern urban life often gives rise to psychospiritual challenges in the form of unacknowledged guilt, leading to an identity crisis and spiritual alienation. This program was designed to address these issues by offering a comprehensive exposition of Psalm 32, which maps the transformative journey from confession of sin to the restoration of joy. The implementation methods included in-depth library research, interactive lectures, and practical spiritual exercises. The discussion results indicate that the literary structure and theological themes of Psalm 32 encompassing honest confession, the assurance of forgiveness, and the promise of divine protection successfully provided an applicable framework. This program concludes that a Bible study model based on Psalm 32 is an effective and contextual model for restoring the spiritual joy of urban congregations, while also contributing to the formation of a community grounded in grace and openness.

Abstract

The background of this research is the high incidence of sexual violence in Indonesia, which leaves complex trauma, while healing approaches often neglect cultural-religious dimensions. The narrative of Amnon and Tamar (2 Sam. 13:1-22) depicts trauma dynamics and systemic support failures. This research aims to reflect on this narrative to formulate contextual trauma healing principles for survivors of sexual abuse in Indonesia. Using qualitative textual-narrative analysis and contextual theological reflection, the discussion identifies three main principles neglected in the response to Tamar: creating safe space (safety), acknowledgment and mourning (remembrance and mourning), and reconnection through restorative justice (reconnection through restorative justice). These principles are relevant for addressing the culture of silence, stigma, and authority failures in Indonesia, while demanding a transformative role for faith communities as safe spaces, long-term companions, and agents of justice. This research concludes that this biblical narrative provides a strong reflective basis for building a holistic and contextual trauma-healing model in Indonesia.

Abstract

The advancement of financial technology in Indonesia has coincided with a significant growth of online gambling platforms that are empirically identified as targeting vulnerable groups through targeted digital marketing mechanisms. This research aims to answer how the Prophet Amos's social critique of economic injustice and exploitation of the poor in the Book of Amos provides a conceptual framework for analyzing the structural impoverishment mechanisms of online gambling platforms. Employing a critical social hermeneutics method that combines exegesis of the Amos text (chs. 2, 5, 8) and analysis of online gambling business models, this study uncovers the continuity between the impoverishment structure criticized by Amos (commodification of vulnerable groups, institutionalized fraud, community disintegration) and the operations of digital gambling platforms. The findings indicate that online gambling constitutes a mutation of an extractive system that reproduces ancient exploitation patterns with technological intensity, necessitating a response that moves beyond legal enforcement towards three concrete directions: transformative regulation that prohibits dark patterns and mandates algorithmic transparency, the development of community-based prophetic digital literacy, and the construction of cooperative digital economic alternatives that embody justice.

Abstract

Abstract: This study conducts an integrative exegetical analysis of Genesis 2:24 as the theological foundation of Christian marriage. It reveals four interrelated principles within the divine design of marriage: monogamy, heterosexuality, independence (leaving), and physical unity (one flesh). These four principles form a coherent theological architecture in which each aspect mutually reinforces and defines the others. Monogamy reflects God's faithfulness, heterosexuality is based on gender complementarity in creation, independence is a prerequisite for forming a new family unit, and the "one flesh" union establishes sexuality as a sacred gift within the covenantal bond. The study addresses the academic gap in the lack of a holistic analysis of these four dimensions as a unified system. Its implications for the contemporary church include marriage formation centred on covenant, pastoral guidance that is firm yet compassionate on gender issues, the establishment of healthy boundaries with families of origin, and the restoration of a biblical view of sexuality as sacred. Thus, Genesis 2:24 remains relevant as a normative foundation for the resilience and witness of Christian marriage amid contemporary cultural challenges. Abstrak: Penelitian ini melakukan kajian eksposisi integratif terhadap Kejadian 2:24 sebagai fondasi teologis pernikahan Kristen. Studi ini mengungkap empat prinsip yang saling terkait dalam desain ilahi tentang pernikahan: monogami, heteroseksualitas, kemandirian, dan kesatuan fisik. Keempat prinsip tersebut membentuk suatu arsitektur teologis yang koheren, di mana setiap aspek saling memperkuat dan mendefinisikan satu sama lain. Monogami mencerminkan kesetiaan Allah, heteroseksualitas berdasar pada komplementaritas gender dalam penciptaan, kemandirian menjadi prasyarat bagi pembentukan unit keluarga baru, dan kesatuan “satu daging” menetapkan seksualitas sebagai karunia kudus dalam ikatan perjanjian. Penelitian ini menyoroti celah akademis berupa kurangnya analisis holistik terhadap keempat dimensi tersebut sebagai satu sistem. Implikasinya bagi gereja masa kini mencakup pembinaan pernikahan yang berpusat pada perjanjian (covenant), pendampingan pastoral yang tegas namun penuh kasih dalam isu gender, penegasan batas sehat dengan keluarga asal, serta pemulihan pandangan alkitabiah tentang seksualitas yang kudus. Dengan demikian, Kejadian 2:24 tetap relevan sebagai landasan normatif bagi ketahanan dan kesaksian pernikahan Kristen di tengah tantangan budaya kontemporer.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between democratic parenting and Christian Religious Education (CRE) learning motivation in high school students, which is motivated by low learning motivation and suboptimal family support in fostering spiritual learning enthusiasm. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, this study examines various relevant literature to understand the relationship between parenting styles and learning motivation. The results show that democratic parenting styles that balance affection, discipline, and open communication play an important role in building students' intrinsic and spiritual motivation. In the context of CRE, this parenting style creates a learning environment conducive to the growth of faith, responsibility, and Christian character. This study contributes theoretically to Christian education studies and offers practical guidance for parents and CRE teachers in shaping a generation that is steadfast in faith and highly motivated.
