Abstract

The advancement of higher education institutions is greatly determined by the effectiveness of academic and non-academic management integrated with educational values. In the context of Christian education, the management is not only oriented toward cognitive achievements but also toward the formation of character and spirituality of the students. The phenomenon that occurs shows that most students still tend to understand the concept of educational management theoretically without being able to implement it critically and contextually in real practice. This research aims to analyze the implementation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in the Educational Management course based on Christian educational values. The method used is qualitative research with a literature study approach thru the analysis of various relevant literature sources. The research results show that the application of HOTS can enhance students' abilities in analysis, evaluation, and creation in understanding educational management. Furthermore, the integration of HOTS with Christian values strengthens the formation of character, ethics, and spirituality among students. Thus, HOTS not only functions as a cognitive strategy but also as a means of forming a reflective, critical, and faith-based personality. Abstrak:Kemajuan perguruan tinggi sangat ditentukan oleh efektivitas manajemen akademik dan nonakademik yang terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan. Dalam konteks pendidikan Kristen, pengelolaan tersebut tidak hanya berorientasi pada capaian kognitif, tetapi juga pada pembentukan karakter dan spiritualitas peserta didik. Fenomena yang terjadi menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta didik masih cenderung memahami konsep manajemen pendidikan secara teoritis tanpa mampu mengimplementasikannya secara kritis dan kontekstual dalam praktik nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) dalam mata kuliah Manajemen Pendidikan berbasis nilai-nilai pendidikan Kristen. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka melalui analisis berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan HOTS mampu meningkatkan kemampuan analisis, evaluasi, dan kreasi peserta didik dalam memahami manajemen pendidikan. Selain itu, integrasi HOTS dengan nilai Kristiani memperkuat pembentukan karakter, etika, dan spiritualitas peserta didik. Dengan demikian, HOTS tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai strategi kognitif, tetapi juga sebagai sarana pembentukan pribadi yang reflektif, kritis, dan berlandaskan iman. Kata Kunci: HOTS, Manajemen Pendidikan, Pendidikan Agama Kristen.

Abstract

This Community Service Program presents a spiritual intervention through "Bible Study Based on Psalm 32" for the congregation of GKB Bahtera Hayat Semarang. The context of modern urban life often gives rise to psychospiritual challenges in the form of unacknowledged guilt, leading to an identity crisis and spiritual alienation. This program was designed to address these issues by offering a comprehensive exposition of Psalm 32, which maps the transformative journey from confession of sin to the restoration of joy. The implementation methods included in-depth library research, interactive lectures, and practical spiritual exercises. The discussion results indicate that the literary structure and theological themes of Psalm 32 encompassing honest confession, the assurance of forgiveness, and the promise of divine protection successfully provided an applicable framework. This program concludes that a Bible study model based on Psalm 32 is an effective and contextual model for restoring the spiritual joy of urban congregations, while also contributing to the formation of a community grounded in grace and openness.
