Abstract

Methods: Desain Penelitian Analitik dengan pendekatan esain quasi experimental dengan pendekatan one group pre test-post test design. Independent variable Anto Langka, dependent variable kepatuhan minum oabat. Results: Berdasarkan Hasil uji statistika menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed- Rank, hasil menunjukkan Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,014, <α (0.05). hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa ada perbedaan kepatuhan minum obat pada pasien TBC sebelum dan setelah dilakukan intervensi Anto Langka. Conclusion: Kapatuhan minum obat pada pasien TBC sangan penting guna meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien dan menurukan resiko penularan sehingga dibutuhkan sinergi dukungan keluarga dan petugas kesehatan secara optimal. Abstract

Smoking has been shown to adversely affect the oral cavity by altering its physiological conditions, thereby promoting the growth of pathogenic microorganisms and increasing the risk of oral diseases. It also reduces salivary pH, rendering it more acidic, and facilitates plaque accumulation. This study aimed to identify the presence of pathogenic microorganisms (Staphylococcus spp., Candida spp., and Entamoeba gingivalis) in the saliva and oral cavity of individuals who smoke. An analytical survey with a cross-sectional design was conducted using 40 samples. Microbial identification was carried out through culture techniques on specific media for bacteria and fungi, while E. gingivalis was detected via direct microscopic observation using safranin staining. 40 samples were analyzed and showed 31 tested positive for at least one of the target microorganisms: Staphylococcus spp., Candida spp., or E. gingivalis, from both saliva and oral swab specimens. Staphylococcus sp. and Candida sp, detected in 13 samples. E. gingivalis was identified in 7 samples. Saliva samples yielded more comprehensive results than oral swabs, suggesting that saliva more accurately reflects the overall microbial condition of the oral cavity.

Abstract

Background: Preeclampsia is a hypertensive disorder of pregnancy (HDP), characterised by trophoblast immaturity and vascular dysfunction. Preeclampsia is characterised by blood pressure >140/90 mmHg and proteinuria. Preeclampsia can be prevented by maintaining a healthy diet and engaging in regular exercise during pregnancy, including yoga.  Objectives: To analyse the effect of Prenatal Yoga on Sodium and Potassium Levels Among Madurese Women with Pre-eclampsia. Methods: This study employed a quasi-experimental design involving 14 pregnant women diagnosed with preeclampsia and an equivalent number of 14 pregnant women in good health. Prenatal yoga sessions were conducted weekly for 8 weeks. Expectant mothers were selected according to specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. Serum specimens were collected using Elabscience assay kits. Serum sodium and potassium concentrations were analysed before and after prenatal yoga. The data were tested for normality, and the Wilcoxon test was used. Results: This study showed a significant difference in serum potassium levels before a mean of 3.29 and after a mean of 4.23 prenatal yoga in preeclamptic pregnant women (p=0.016), although there was no significant difference in serum sodium levels (p>0.05) before a mean of 150.15 and after a mean of 126.11 prenatal yoga in preeclamptic pregnant women. Conclusion: Helping to prevent hypertension during pregnancy. Prenatal yoga may reduce the risk of pre-eclampsia and improve maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality.
