Abstract

Gender equality is an important aspect of human resource development (HRD). This study aims to analyze the concept of gender equality based on the perspectives of the Qur'an and Hadith and its relation to human resource development. The method used in this study is qualitative research with a library research approach through the analysis of the Qur'an, Hadith, books, and scientific journals. The results show that Islam places men and women in equal positions in obtaining rights, opportunities, and recognition based on piety and good deeds. However, in social reality, various forms of gender inequality still exist, such as workplace discrimination and unequal opportunities in the professional field. Therefore, the integration of Islamic values with modern human resource development practices is needed to create a system that is fair, professional, and oriented toward collective welfare. Keywords: Gender Equality, Human Resources, Qur'an, Hadith. Kata kunci: Kesetaraan Gender, Sumber Daya Manusia, Al-Qur'an, hadis.

Abstract

Al-qardh is a fundamental instrument in Islamic economics grounded in the principle of ta’awun (mutual assistance) and free from riba. This study aims to analyze the concept of Al-qardh based on the normative foundations of the Qur’an and Hadith, as well as its relevance in the modern context. Using a library research method with a content analysis approach to relevant literature, the study finds that Al-qardh is not merely a financial transaction but also a manifestation of moral responsibility and social solidarity. However, a gap exists between its normative ideals and contemporary implementation, particularly in the form of administrative costs and operational constraints. The findings indicate that Al-qardh is based on principles of justice, transparency, and accountability as reflected in Surah Al-Baqarah: 282 and Surah Al-Hadid: 11. Therefore, strengthening institutional frameworks and integrating social Islamic funds are necessary to maintain the social essence of Al-qardh in modern financial systems.

Abstract

Production in Islamic economics is not merely understood as an economic activity to create added value, but also as a process that integrates ethical, social, and spiritual dimensions. However, in modern economic practices, production is often oriented toward material profit, neglecting the moral values that should serve as its fundamental basis. This study aims to examine the concept of production from the perspectives of the Qur’an and Hadith using a philosophical approach and to relate it to historical practices in Islamic civilization. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach by analyzing relevant literature sources, including classical Islamic texts and contemporary scholarly works. The findings indicate that production in Islam is grounded in the principles of tawhid, justice, responsibility, and professionalism, which are integrated within the framework of maqashid al-shariah. Furthermore, production is viewed as an act of worship aimed at achieving comprehensive welfare (falah), rather than merely generating economic profit. This study also reveals that the Islamic concept of production has a strong philosophical foundation encompassing ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions, and has been historically implemented during the era of Caliph Umar ibn Khattab and the Abbasid dynasty. The implications of this study suggest that integrating Islamic ethical values into modern production systems can contribute to developing a more just, sustainable, and socially beneficial economic system.
