Abstract

Employee performance in public organizations remains a critical issue, particularly when leadership practices and workplace communication are not fully effective in supporting organizational goals. This study aims to examine the effects of leadership style and work communication on employee performance, with job satisfaction serving as an intervening variable. The study was conducted among 147 employees of a local government institution using a quantitative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings reveal that work communication has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, whereas leadership style has a significant but negative effect on performance. In addition, leadership style and work communication significantly influence job satisfaction, and job satisfaction significantly affects employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction mediates the relationships between leadership style and employee performance as well as between work communication and employee performance. The study concludes that effective work communication and enhanced job satisfaction are key factors in improving employee performance, while leadership practices require further adjustment to better support organizational outcomes

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the influence of training, work experience, and work motivation on employee performance at Radio Republik Indonesia Palembang. This research used quantitative data analysis to measure whether there was a correlation between the variables. The data collection included primary and secondary data, with questionnaire being the primary data as a tool to record the respondents’ view on the variables. The research population included all 86 employees of Radio Republik Indonesia Palembang, using a saturated sampling technique. The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that training was significantly affecting employee performance. This finding implies that training can have an impact on employee performance if there is participation, repetition, relevance, transference, and feedback. On the contrary, work experience has an insignificant effect on employee performance, indicating that long periods of employment do not determine an employee's work experience. Lastly, work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance. This finding suggests that employees that have motivation in the form of need for achievement, need for power, and need for affiliate as their driving force could maintain the intensity, direction, and persistency in achieving the designated performance. The company needs to review employees with long periods of service to determine whether the length of time they have spent in their jobs is in line with the skills and competencies they should have gained from their work experience.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has encouraged cosmetic companies to integrate Augmented Reality (AR) into online shopping platforms to create more interactive and personalized consumer experiences. Despite the increasing adoption of AR, empirical evidence regarding the mechanism through which this technology influences purchase decisions remains limited, particularly within Indonesia's cosmetics industry. This study aims to examine the influence of Augmented Reality technology implementation on purchase decisions for Wardah products, with shopping experience serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative research approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to 204 Indonesian consumers who had previously used AR features when purchasing Wardah products online. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The findings reveal that Augmented Reality technology has a positive and significant effect on both shopping experience and purchase decisions. In addition, shopping experience positively influences purchase decisions and partially mediates the relationship between AR technology and purchase decisions. These results indicate that immersive virtual experiences enhance consumers' trust, engagement, and confidence throughout the purchasing decision-making process. This study extends the application of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by confirming the mediating role of shopping experience in the relationship between AR technology and purchase decisions. Furthermore, the findings provide practical implications for cosmetic companies in developing AR-based digital marketing strategies that enhance customer experiences and encourage purchase decisions
