Abstract

Ensuring operational efficiency in the heavy equipment rental business requires a precise alignment between equipment availability and workforce capacity, particularly for concrete pump technicians operating across demanding project sites. This study addresses the empirical gap in technician staffing adequacy by applying Workload Analysis (WLA) and Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) within a heavy equipment rental company. Activity data from five technicians were collected through structured interviews and verified through layered validation involving HRD judgment, managerial review, and company work reports. The analysis produced a total annual workload of 6,221.25 hours, equivalent to 3.31 FTE, quantifying an overstaffing condition in which individual FTE values ranged from 0.60 to 0.71, all classified as underload. Scenario analysis further demonstrated that a staffing level of three technicians yields an FTE of 1.10, the only configuration falling within the normal workload range. These findings extend the application of WLA and FTE to concrete pump maintenance in heavy equipment rental, a context that remains limited in prior workforce planning literature, and demonstrate the value of multi-layered data validation in improving the accuracy of workforce requirement assessments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze ergonomic risk levels among sewing workers at Murya 2 Collection using the Nordic Body Map (NBM), Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA), and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA). This study used a descriptive design with an observational ergonomics approach. The subjects were six active sewing workers, and data were collected through NBM questionnaires, direct observation, photographic documentation, and interviews. NBM was used to identify subjective musculoskeletal complaints, while RULA and REBA were applied to assess objective postural risks during sewing activities. The results showed that the highest complaints occurred in the upper back, neck, lower neck, right shoulder, middle back, lower back, right wrist, right hand, and right foot sole. Based on total NBM scores, two workers were categorized as high risk, while four workers were categorized as moderate risk. RULA results showed that most workers were in the medium-high risk category, whereas REBA results indicated that all workers were in the medium risk category. The use of the three methods showed that dominant complaints were generally consistent with postural risk findings. Recommended improvements include scheduled microbreaks, targeted stretching, posture awareness, foot relaxation, and simple workstation adjustments suitable for SME conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze customer satisfaction toward service quality at PH Clothing in Malang City using SERVQUAL, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) approach. A quantitative descriptive method is employed by involving 75 respondents. Data are collected from a structured questionnaire based on five SERVQUAL dimensions and analyzed through gap analysis, CSI computation, and IPA mapping. The results indicate that all SERVQUAL dimensions exhibit negative gap values, with the largest gap found in the reliability dimension (−1.45), highlighting issues in product consistency and delivery punctuality. The overall service quality ratio (Q = 0.958) confirms that service performance has not yet met customer expectations. The CSI value of 72.62% places customer satisfaction in the “satisfied” category. IPA results identify four critical attributes requiring immediate improvement, i.e. clarity of production and delivery information, complaint handling, product quality, and service speed. These findings provide actionable insights into strategic service improvement to enhance customer satisfaction and competitiveness.
