Abstract

Effective and efficient Hajj services require a structured performance management system. This study aims to identify and analyze the stages of performance management, including planning, management, evaluation, and appreciation, in the Hajj services at the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Kubu Raya Regency. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. Data validity was ensured through triangulation. The findings indicate that Hajj services have been implemented systematically in accordance with performance management stages, beginning with the preparation of a Performance Agreement (PERKIN) as the planning stage, routine management by the head of the organizer supported by the Integrated Hajj Computerization Information System (SISKOHAT), and structured evaluations for continuous improvement. Employee performance is appreciated through awards in the form of certificates or plaques. These findings imply that a comprehensive performance management implementation can enhance the quality of public services, particularly in the administration of Hajj and Umrah. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of digital information systems throughout all stages of Hajj service performance management at the regency level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between workload and work-related stress among traffic police officers within a high-risk law enforcement context. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a correlational design, involving 52 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using standardized questionnaires measuring workload and work-related stress, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including Pearson correlation analysis. The findings reveal that both workload and work-related stress are predominantly at moderate levels, and a significant positive relationship exists between the two variables, with a correlation coefficient of 0.667. This indicates that higher workload is associated with increased levels of work-related stress among traffic police officers. The study is limited by its relatively small sample size and its focus on a single institutional setting, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings. Practically, the results highlight the importance of effective workload management strategies to mitigate stress levels and enhance both performance and well-being among law enforcement personnel. The originality of this study lies in its empirical contribution to the limited body of literature on occupational stress within traffic policing in developing country contexts, offering insights relevant for human resource management and organizational policy in high-risk public service sectors.

Abstract

This study examines the role of interpersonal communication and digital competence in the completion of final projects among students at IAIN Pontianak. The background of this study lies in the increasing challenges in completing final projects due to limited effective communication with academic advisors and insufficient digital skills. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observations, and documentation involving 15 students and 5 academic advisors. The findings reveal that intensive interpersonal communication and adequate digital competence support the timely completion of final projects. However, some students face technological limitations and communication barriers that hinder progress. The contribution of this study lies in proposing an integrated framework of interpersonal communication and digital competence as a holistic approach in academic supervision, while also highlighting the psychosocial dimension of student mental well-being. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of developing technology-based academic supervision policies and providing psychological support in Islamic higher education to enhance the quality of final project completion.
