<![CDATA[Background: Body image remains a psychological issue among school-aged adolescents, affecting their self-confidence. One contributing factor is dissatisfaction with physical appearance, such as body shape, weight, and skin condition. Purpose: To determine the relationship between body image and self-confidence in eighth-grade students. Method: This quantitative research method used a descriptive correlation design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a sample size of 68 students at SMP 2 Mlati. The research instruments used a body image questionnaire (MBSRQ-AS) and a self-confidence questionnaire (Self-Confidence Scale). Data analysis used the Chi-Square Test. Results: 23 respondents (33.8%) had negative body image and 45 respondents (66.2%) had positive body image. Self-confidence was categorized as low in 22 respondents (32.4%) and high in 46 respondents (67.6%). The data analysis yielded a value of 0.012 <0.05. Conclusion: There is a relationship between body image and self-confidence in eighth-grade students. Keywords: Body Image; Junior High School Students; Self-Confidence. Pendahuluan: Citra tubuh masih menjadi permasalahan psikologis pada remaja usia sekolah yang dapat memengaruhi kepercayaan diri mereka. Salah satu faktor yang berperan adalah ketidakpuasan terhadap penampilan fisik, seperti bentuk tubuh, berat badan, dan kondisi kulit. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara citra tubuh dengan kepercayaan diri pada siswa kelas VIII. Metode: Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling, dengan jumlah sampel 68 siswa di SMP 2 Mlati. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner citra tubuh (MBSRQ-AS) dan kepercayaan diri (Self-Confidence scale). Analisis data menggunakan Uji Chi Square. Hasil: Citra tubuh dengan kategori negatif sebanyak 23 responden (33.8%) dan kategori positive sebanyak 45 responden (66.2%). Kepercayaan diri didapatkan hasil dengan kepercayaan diri rendah sebanyak 22 responden (32.4%) dan kepercayaan diri tinggi sebanyak 46 responden (67.6%).
