Abstract

The integration of digital technology in education has significantly transformed evaluation practices and teacher professional development. However, many educational institutions still rely on conventional evaluation systems that emphasize administrative reporting rather than providing meaningful feedback for improving instructional quality. This study examines the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in educational evaluation to support reflective teaching and data-driven professional development. A mixed-method sequential explanatory design was employed, involving 120 teachers and school administrators from junior high schools in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Quantitative data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data from interviews and document analysis were examined using thematic analysis. The findings reveal a high level of teacher acceptance of AI-based evaluation systems, with an overall mean score of 4.28 (very positive category). The highest-rated aspect was continuous feedback provision (M = 4.36), followed by comprehensive evaluation data (M = 4.32). Qualitative findings indicate that AI-based evaluation enhances teachers’ understanding of classroom interaction patterns, student engagement, and instructional effectiveness. These findings demonstrate that AI-assisted evaluation systems contribute to more effective monitoring of teaching performance and strengthen evidence-based instructional decision-making. This study provides empirical evidence for the development of AI-integrated evaluation frameworks that support sustainable improvement in teaching quality and teacher professional competence.

Abstract

The low accuracy and objectivity of manual evaluation of mathematics learning in higher education impacts the quality of student research. This study aims to develop an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based evaluation model to improve the effectiveness of assessment and the quality of mathematics education research. The method used was Research and Development (R&D) with a modified Borg & Gall model, encompassing needs analysis, design, expert validation, and limited trials. The resulting model consists of four main components: Data Input, AI Processing, Assessment Output, and Feedback System, all connected through a feedback loop. Validation results showed a "very valid" validity level (average >3.6), while trials demonstrated a 25–30% increase in assessment consistency between lecturers. The AI system was also able to detect student conceptual errors quickly and accurately. The results confirm that this model is effective in improving the objectivity, efficiency, and quality of student research. The study recommends the development of a machine learning-based feedback loop and the integration of the model into the campus Learning Management System (LMS).

Abstract

Recurring global economic crises show the weakness of the conventional economic system in realizing fair, inclusive and sustainable growth. Sharia economics exists as an alternative solution by offering a system based on the values of justice, balance and social responsibility. This research aims to analyze the implementation of sharia economic principles and their contribution to sustainable economic development in Indonesia. The method used is descriptive qualitative through literature studies and case studies on sharia financial institutions and zakat and waqf management institutions. The research results show that sharia economics plays a significant role in empowering the community's economy, reducing social inequality, and strengthening the real sector through usury-free financial mechanisms, zakat distribution, and productive waqf management. However, the implementation of sharia economics still faces challenges in the form of low public literacy, limited regulations, and the need to increase human resource capacity. By strengthening policies and institutional support, sharia economics has great potential as a main pillar in building a sustainable and just economy.

Abstract
