Abstract

This study aimed to develop a defensive formation training model in indoor volleyball to enhance players’ defensive skills, reaction speed, anticipation, & movement coordination during gameplay. The method study employed a Research & Development (R&D) approach adapted from the Borg & Gall model, consisting of the following stages: needs analysis, product design, design validation, small- & large-group field testing, small-group revision, large-group revision, & final product development. The participants were 15-year-old volleyball athletes involved in a small-group trial of 16 participants & a large-group trial of 40 participants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, & expert validation sheets involving academic experts, practitioners, & motor development specialists. The validation results showed that the developed model obtained a feasibility score of 88% from academic experts, 92% from practitioner experts, & 96% from motor development experts, all categorized as “very feasible.” The small-group trial involving 16 participants achieved an average percentage of 91.75%, while the large-group trial involving 40 participants achieved 93.2%, both categorized as “very feasible.” The developed training model consists of six defensive formation patterns designed to improve defensive positioning, anticipation, communication, & team coordination in volleyball matches. The findings of the study indicate that the developed defensive formation training model is effective, practical, & feasible for use in volleyball training & physical education learning. The model provides innovative & engaging variations of defensive drills that can enhance player involvement & improve defensive performance in indoor volleyball games. Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru PJOK KKG Kota Pontianak dalam memanfaatkan inovasi media pembelajaran, khususnya melalui sosialisasi penggunaan alat pelontar futsal. Permasalahan utama mitra adalah kurangnya variasi latihan dan minimnya inovasi peralatan akibat keterbatasan sarana serta biaya pengembangan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui metode ceramah, demonstrasi, diskusi, dan praktik langsung, melibatkan dosen serta mahasiswa Magister Pendidikan Jasmani Universitas PGRI Pontianak. Sosialisasi dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak dengan peserta guru PJOK se-Kota Pontianak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap variasi latihan futsal menggunakan alat pelontar, serta peningkatan kemampuan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran PJOK. Evaluasi melalui posttest juga memperlihatkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta setelah mengikuti sosialisasi. Selain itu, kegiatan menghasilkan luaran berupa publikasi media massa, dokumentasi video, serta artikel PKM. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam memperkaya kompetensi guru PJOK dan mendukung peningkatan mutu pembinaan ekstrakurikuler futsal di sekolah.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop a game-based learning model for physical education based on the game of snakes and ladders. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The target clientele for the product includes: (1) elementary school Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) teachers; (2) elementary school students; and (3) the general public. Validation results from subject-matter and media experts yielded an average score of 93.6%, placing the model in the “highly feasible” category. Practicality tests involving teachers indicated that the model was easy to implement in physical education lessons, while students found the game more engaging than conventional instruction. Effectiveness testing showed an average score increase of 18.70 points following implementation of the snakes-and-ladders-based game-based learning model. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the model meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, making it a suitable alternative learning model for physical education. Abstract

This study aims to produce a geometric-based training model for basic football techniques that is valid, practical, and effective for foster athletes. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) by adopting the Borg and Gall model development procedures which include the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects involved 30 football athletes in the adolescent age category who were undergoing an intensive technical development program. Data collection instruments used feasibility assessment questionnaires for material experts and basic technique skill test instruments (passing, control, and dribbling) to measure achievements in athletes' motor performance before and after intervention. The data analysis technique applied combined qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis through t-test (paired sample t-test). Research findings from the sports academic material expert validity team showed a feasibility percentage of 88.50% and from the football coach practitioner expert of 91.20%, both of which fell into the very feasible criteria. The results of the effectiveness test through statistical difference tests showed a significant increase in average scores on passing skill tests from 64.50 to 82.20, control skills from 66.20 to 84.10, and dribbling skills from 61.80 to 80.50. The conclusion of this study is that the integration of geometric concepts designed through the brog and gall structure is proven to be highly valid and effective in optimizing the performance of basic football skills in young athletes.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of a 3D Biomechanical Analysis Application Model for physical condition training in SPOBNAS athletes aged 14–17 years. The research employed the Borg & Gall development model through 10 systematic steps, with data collected using observation, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Validation was conducted by three experts (material, media, and measurement), while the effectiveness test applied a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design involving 50 athletes divided equally into experimental and control groups.The results showed that the application model had high validity, with an average Aiken’s V of 0.95 (material experts) and 0.93 (media experts). Practicality tests indicated that athletes (mean = 3.90) and coaches (mean = 3.88) assessed the program as very practical. Statistical analysis confirmed that the data were normally distributed (Sig. = 0.200) and homogeneous (Sig. = 0.058). The effectiveness test demonstrated a significant improvement in the experimental group (t count = 5.120 > t table = 2.009, df = 49), with a mean gain of 14.2 points compared to only 4.6 in the control group. Furthermore, effect size analysis (Cohen’s d = 1.25) indicated a large effect.In conclusion, the developed 3D Biomechanical Analysis Application Model was proven to be valid, practical, and effective, contributing positively to improving athletes’ physical fitness, motor skills, and motivation. This application can be a valuable tool for coaches in enhancing performance training and supporting athlete development at SPOBNAS.
