Abstract

This study aims to explore adolescents' enthusiasm in continuing their education and understand the dynamics of factors influencing it. In social life, adolescents have various considerations in determining their educational pathways after completing school. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation and interviews with several informants. The findings show that adolescents’ enthusiasm in continuing education is influenced by various factors such as economic conditions, perceptions of education, and social environment. These factors not only present challenges but also shape adolescents' perspectives and decisions regarding their future. Therefore, creative, flexible, and needs-based approaches in community education are needed to support and strengthen adolescents' enthusiasm for continuing education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the Canva application as a learning medium for Community Education students at the University of Riau. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with five students selected purposively as the research subjects. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews and analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Canva was utilized to present learning materials in visual forms such as presentations, posters, and infographics. The use of Canva encouraged improvements in creativity, visual communication skills, and student engagement in the learning process. In addition, Canva helped facilitate material comprehension and increased learning motivation. However, there were obstacles in the form of limited features and dependence on internet connectivity. Overall, Canva is effective as a digital learning medium that supports active and creative learning, although it still needs to be balanced with a good understanding of the material.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide entrepreneurial provisions in developing the skills participants of Senior High School Equivalency Program in utilizing local plants and organic waste from leaves, flowers, and other plants that are abundant in the surrounding environment that are often not utilized optimally. This activity is carried out in three stages, namely 1) the preparation stage in preparing and planning activities, as well as conducting observations at the service location, 2) the implementation stage of ecoprint making training on tote bags, 3) the evaluation stage of participants and evaluation of the implementation of training activities, and reporting. The results of this activity increase the knowledge, understanding and skills participants of Senior High School Equivalency Program. Participants also succeeded in making a tote bag that uses ecoprint printing from leaves found around. The tote bag with ecoprint printing produced by the participants is neat, clearly and well printed, and has artistic value. Participants are able to demonstrate the process of making ecoprint on tote bags from start to finish.
