Abstract This study aims to improve narrative text listening skills of students in class VII C of SMP PGRI 2 Denpasar in the 2025/2026 academic year through the application of the Mind Mapping method assisted by audio-visual media. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action implementation, observation and evaluation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 30 students. Data were collected through observation, listening skill tests, and student response questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results of the study indicate a significant improvement in students’ listening skills. The average score of the initial test was 50, which increased to 72.8 in Cycle I, although learning mastery had not been fully achieved. In Cycle II, the average score increased again to 90 and met the predetermined mastery indicators. In addition, students’ activity and engagement increased, as indicated by their ability to identify narrative text elements, organize story sequences, and explain the content through mind mapping. Students’ responses to the learning process were positive because it was more interesting and easier to understand. Based on these results, the Mind Mapping method assisted by audio-visual media is effective in improving students’ narrative text listening skills. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak teks naratif pada siswa kelas VII C SMP PGRI 2 Denpasar Tahun Pelajaran 2025/2026 melalui penerapan metode Mind Mapping berbantuan media audio visual. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, yang masing-masing siklus meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi, serta refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes keterampilan menyimak, dan kuesioner respon siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan menyimak siswa secara signifikan. Nilai rata-rata tes awal sebesar 50 meningkat menjadi 72,8 pada siklus I, meskipun ketuntasan belum sepenuhnya tercapai. Pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata meningkat kembali menjadi 90 dan memenuhi indikator ketuntasan. Selain itu, aktivitas dan keterlibatan siswa meningkat, ditunjukkan oleh kemampuan mengidentifikasi unsur teks naratif, menyusun alur cerita, serta menjelaskan isi teks melalui mind mapping. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran juga positif karena lebih menarik dan mudah dipahami. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, metode Mind Mapping berbantuan media audio visual efektif meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak teks naratif siswa.
