Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning model on student’s ability to unnderstand mathematical concepts with the helf of the Canva application, at VIII th class students of SMP Swasta IT Adz Dzaki Wal Hadi Pulau Rakyat in 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest research design. The popolation of this study are all students of VIII th class of SMP Swasta IT Adz Dzaki Wal Hadi Pulau Rakyat. Two class are randomli selected to be used as research sampels. VIII-th A consists of 30 studenys as an experimental class taught using the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning model, while VIII-th B consists of 30 students as a class taught using a direct learning model, te data obtained in this study are in the form of student’s conceptual comprehension ability scores which are analyzed by uji-t. Based on the results of data analysis, it’s found that the ability to understand student’s concepts taught by Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) learning model assited by the Canva application’s higher than the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students taught by applying the learning model directly.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini  untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Treffinger berbantuan video animasi berbasis powtoon terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa  kelas VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 2 Silau Laut tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas  VIII di UPTD SMP Negeri 2 Silau Laut. Dua kelas dipilih secara purposive sampling untuk dijadikan sampel penelitian. Kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan menerapkan model Treffinger berbantuan video animasi berbasis powtoon sedangkan kelas VIII-2 kelas kontrol diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berupa skor kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis  yang dianalisis dengan uji-t. Berdasarkan data kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang telah diperoleh, diketahui bahwa rata-rata nilai kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas eksperimen (83,6667)  dari kelas kontrol (73,6667) . Dari hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis diperoleh  yaitu 4,943501 1,671553 maka  ditolak dan  diterima. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa ada pengaruh model  Treffinger berbantuan video animasi berbasis Powtoon terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di UPTD SMP Negeri 2 Silau Laut.Kata Kunci: Model Treffinger , Powtoon, Kemampuan Pemecahan, Matematis.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to determine the influence of the Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS) learning model on student’ problem solving abilities in IX th class congruence and similarity material at IX- 1 UPTD of SMP Negeri 1 Aek Kuasan in 2023/2024 Academic year. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest two group design research. The population in this study’ s all IXth class that consisting 0f 5 classes. The research sample consists of 2 clasess (IXth-1 class and IXth-2 ones) which were taken using simple random sampling. The IXth-1 class as an experimental class using the Heuristic learning model (LAPS) and IXth-2 class as a control class using a conventional learning model. The average pretest score of the experimental class was 41.23 while the control class was 39.46. After completing the learning, the average posttes score in the experimental class was 84.46, while the control one was 81.15. The T test results obtained t_count 2.14903>t_tabel 2.00856 H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected, thus there was a positive and significant influence in the application of the heuristic learning model (LAPS) assisted by web liveworksheets on students’ problem solving abilities.Keywords: Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS) Heuristic, Problem Solving Ability, Congruence and Similarity.AbstrakTujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS) Heuristik terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada materi kekongruenan dan kesebangunan kelas IX Di UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Aek Kuasan Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasy eksperiment dengan penelitian pretest-posttest two group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas IX yang terdiri dari 5 kelas. Sampel penelitian ada 2 kelas (kelas IX-1 dan IX-2) yang diambil secara simple random sampling. Pada kelas IX-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran LAPS Heuristik dan pada kelas IX-2 sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Nilai rata-rata pretest kelas eksperimen 41.23, sedangkan kelas control 39.46. Setelah pembelajaran selesai diberikan diperoleh nilai rata-rata posttest di kelas eksperimen 84.46 sedangkan kelas control 81.15. Hasil uji T diperoleh  H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak dengan demikian terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dalam penerapan model pembelajaran LAPS Heuristik berbantu web liveworksheet terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik.Kata kunci: Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS) Heuristik, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Kekongruenan dan Kesebangunan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Treffinger berbantuan wizer.me terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa SMP. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model Treffinger berbantuan wizer.me dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji-t. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung_{hitung}hitung​ > ttabel_{tabel}tabel​ (3,037 > 1,669), yang berarti H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran Treffinger berbantuan wizer.me terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Model ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Selain itu, penggunaan media wizer.me memberikan pengalaman belajar yang interaktif dan menyenangkan, yang mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan model Treffinger berbantuan media digital sebagai alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the types of errors made by students in solving trigonometry problems. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method involving undergraduate students enrolled in a trigonometry course. Data were collected through written tests and interviews. The results show that students made several types of errors, including conceptual errors, procedural errors, and computational errors. Conceptual errors were dominant, particularly in understanding trigonometric identities and angle relationships. These findings indicate that students’ understanding of basic trigonometric concepts is still weak and requires instructional improvement. The study concludes that identifying students’ errors can help lecturers design more effective learning strategies to reduce similar mistakes in the future.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in financial mathematics learning, particularly in planning education funds, at the senior high school level. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The participants were 32 tenth-grade students of a senior high school. The research instruments consisted of an achievement test and an observation sheet of students’ learning activities. The results showed an improvement in students’ learning outcomes after the implementation of the CTL model. The average pretest score of 64.38 increased to 78.91 in the posttest, while learning mastery improved from 34.38% to 81.25%. In addition, students’ learning activities reached an average score of 83.6%, categorized as active. It can be concluded that the Contextual Teaching and Learning model is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes and engagement in financial mathematics, particularly in planning education funds.
