Abstract

Abstract. Based on data collected by the Government of Simbatan Village, Nguntoronadi Subdistrict, Magetan Regency in 2017, there are 39 people with disabilities in the village and 32 productive potential people were dominated by persons with intellectual disabilities. The purpose of this community service’s activity is to help people with intellectual disabilities and other disabilities in improving their skills and welfare. The steps of the activities are: 1. Facilitating the availability of materials, equipment and facilities needed for business capital of persons with disabilities; 2. Provide skills training and production of goods that can be made by persons with disabilities; 3. Ensure the sustainability of the business that has been initiated and developed; 4. Creating employment and data collection for persons with disabilities; and 5. Increasing business welfare and independence for persons with disabilities.The development of service activities is carried out by pioneering and making various types of skills / businesses that are artistic, economical and market oriented that can help provide employment opportunities for persons with disabilities through various business / production of goods, thus gaining income to meet their daily needs. Productive economic activities carried out by persons with disabilities are: 1. Making batik spattered (batik ciprat); 2. Making various handicrafts from various used plastic containers and patchworks; 3. Training in skills and other businesses according to market needs that can be done by persons with disabilities. Abstrak. Berdasarkan data yang dikumpulkan oleh Pemerintah Desa Simbatan, Kecamatan Nguntoronadi, Kabupaten Magetan pada tahun 2017, ada 39 orang penyandang cacat di desa tersebut dan 32 orang berpotensi produktif didominasi oleh orang-orang dengan cacat intelektual. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk membantu orang-orang dengan cacat intelektual dan cacat lainnya dalam meningkatkan keterampilan dan kesejahteraan mereka. Langkah-langkah kegiatannya adalah: 1. Memfasilitasi ketersediaan bahan, peralatan, dan fasilitas yang dibutuhkan untuk modal bisnis para penyandang cacat; 2. Memberikan pelatihan keterampilan dan produksi barang yang dapat dibuat oleh para penyandang cacat; 3. Memastikan keberlanjutan bisnis yang telah dimulai dan dikembangkan; 4. Menciptakan lapangan kerja dan pengumpulan data untuk para penyandang cacat; dan 5. Meningkatkan kesejahteraan bisnis dan kemandirian bagi para penyandang cacat. Pengembangan kegiatan layanan dilakukan dengan memelopori dan membuat berbagai jenis keterampilan / bisnis yang berorientasi artistik, ekonomis dan berorientasi pasar yang dapat membantu menyediakan peluang kerja bagi para penyandang cacat melalui berbagai bisnis / produksi barang, sehingga memperoleh penghasilan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari mereka. Kegiatan ekonomi produktif yang dilakukan oleh para penyandang cacat adalah: 1. Membuat batik ciprat (batik ciprat); 2. Membuat berbagai kerajinan dari berbagai wadah plastik bekas dan tambal sulam; 3. Pelatihan keterampilan dan bisnis lain sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasar yang dapat dilakukan oleh para penyandang cacat.

Abstract

The rapid development of computer networks and data communications has significantly impacted all government sectors in Indonesia. The Madiun Regency Health Service relies on a web-based health reporting application, E-link Health Report, to manage health information data from community health centers. However, this application is vulnerable to cyber-attacks, necessitating enhanced security measures. To address this issue, the health service implemented a Virtual Private Network (VPN) using the Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) to bolster system security. The aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of the implemented VPN with PPTP protocol in enhancing network reliability and data transmission security. The Network Development Lifecycle (NDLC) method was employed to conduct this analysis, focusing on parameters such as network reliability and the ability to secure data transmission against cyber threats. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in both network reliability and data transmission security following the implementation of the VPN with PPTP protocol. This study provides a comprehensive comparison of network performance before and after the implementation, highlighting the effectiveness of VPNs in securing web-based health reporting applications.

Abstract

Earthquakes are one of the natural disasters that frequently occur in several regions of Indonesia. The government can map in advance the areas that are prone to earthquakes. The results of this mapping can serve as a reference for prioritizing aid distribution to regions with high earthquake disaster potential. This study utilizes the Weighted Sum Model (WSM) to map the priority areas for government aid distribution. The WSM method provides an output ranking regions from high priority to low priority. Several criteria are considered, including the number of exposed populations, the number of disabled individuals, the number of impoverished residents, the number of vulnerable age groups, and the class of exposed populations. Since the exposed population class is non-numeric data, this study employs the Likert method to convert it into numeric data. In addition to criteria, this study also utilizes alternative data, specifically the names of sub-districts in Pacitan Regency, East Java. The combination of the Likert and WSM methods helps in recommending regions with earthquake disaster potential as priority aid recipients. The most prioritized region for receiving aid is Tulakan Sub-district, Pacitan Regency, East Java. Based on WSM calculations, Tulakan Sub-district has the highest WSM final score of 26,642.35, making it the top-priority region compared to others.

Abstract

Lama studi mahasiswa menjadi indikator penting dalam menilai efektivitas sistem pendidikan di perguruan tinggi. Prediksi lama studi yang akurat dapat membantu institusi akademik dalam memberikan bimbingan yang lebih optimal kepada mahasiswa agar dapat menyelesaikan studinya tepat waktu. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem prediksi lama studi mahasiswa menggunakan pendekatan Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) dengan metode similarity measure berbobot. Sistem ini membandingkan kasus baru dengan kasus lama berdasarkan lima variabel utama, yaitu rata-rata IPK, jumlah SKS per semester, status cuti akademik, status pekerjaan, dan keaktifan organisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kasus lama nomor 16 memiliki tingkat kemiripan tertinggi dengan kasus baru, dengan nilai 0.778, yang menunjukkan bahwa metode yang digunakan mampu mengidentifikasi mahasiswa dengan karakteristik akademik dan non-akademik yang paling mirip. Faktor akademik, seperti IPK dan jumlah SKS, memiliki bobot yang lebih tinggi dalam menentukan lama studi dibandingkan faktor non-akademik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan CBR dapat digunakan sebagai alat pendukung keputusan akademik dalam memprediksi lama studi mahasiswa secara lebih akurat. Implementasi sistem ini dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut dengan mengintegrasikan teknik machine learning guna meningkatkan performa prediksi.

Abstract

In an organization, unfair decisions are often a problem. Therefore, this study creates a group decision-making model to optimize the achievement of fair decisions. This study combines the Mean and Simple Additive Weighting Borda (SAW Borda) methods. The combination of these methods is called Mean SAW Borda. The Mean calculation is used to obtain the average value of decision-makers. The mean value can be the weight of the group decision-making criteria. The weight is the reference for the SAW Borda calculation. This aims to optimize fair decisions. The SAW Borda calculation provides group decisions. This study uses data on the election of a university's head of the Informatics Engineering study program. In the study program, 24 decision-makers gave scores to choose the head of the study program. The Means SAW Borda method calculates the assessment, and the result is that A4 has the highest decision value (1923.26573). The results of the Mean SAW Borda method are the same as those of the conventional election. The conventional method chooses A4 to be the elected candidate. Based on these results, the Mean SAW Borda method can produce fair decisions and is agreed upon by decision-makers.

Abstract

The training on creating UMKM Blogspots aims to help rural communities improve their economy. Local community potential can be marketed digitally. Digital marketing can save capital and expand market reach. Digital marketing can utilize blogspots. Blogspot is a platform with several advantages. Namely, it is easy to access, does not require significant costs, and people can learn it easily. Through this training, people can manage blogspots to promote Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) products. Some of these products include agricultural products, handicrafts, and regional food products. This training activity provides education on the use of blogspots as a means of online marketing media. In addition, the training also studies basic e-commerce techniques, such as product photos, writing descriptions, and content management. This aims to optimize blogspots as a means of promotion so that product marketing has a broader reach. UMKM blogspots can increase community income and foster sustainable digital skills. UMKM blogspots can be a flexible and easy-to-manage promotional tool that people can use independently. This training produces personal UMKM blogspots. More than half of the forum participants can understand the training material. This proves that UMKM owners have quite a lot of enthusiasm for learning Blogspot.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based expert system for diagnosing electric bicycle faults using the backward chaining method. It addresses the limitation of previous systems that did not support user input of fault hypotheses. The research stages include literature review, data collection (31 faults and 5 symptoms), implementation of web-based inference, and black box testing. The results demonstrate that the system successfully accommodates user-input hypotheses and related symptoms, then matches them with rules to generate diagnoses. Functional testing confirms all features operate as intended. The research novelty lies in: (1) the first comprehensive knowledge base for electric bicycles (31 faults), (2) an interactive web interface supporting hypothesis input, and (3) dynamic database storage for rule updates.

Abstract

Canva is an Android-based presentation application, this application is worth considering as an alternative to Microsoft's PowerPoint application, Sekolah Penggerak operators are required to be able to use Windows or Android-based technology, as part of the work which will be useful for increasing individual skills to support Sekolah Penggerak activities in the region District Madiun. This Community Service aims to introduce Canva as part of ICT, where ICT is a basic science generally studied by Sekolah Penggerak operators in carrying out their duties as Administrators. The method used for this Community Service is Lectures, and practicum for 3 days in 2 practicum sessions or as needed. The results of this training are that all training participants can make presentations from the Android-based Canva application for the subjects they teach at the mobilization school Apart from using Android-based applications, they can also make presentations using the web-based Canva application as a companion to the Windows-based presentation application, namely PowerPoint, which is commonly used to this day.

Abstract

This study aims to prove that clustering analysis can optimize the development model of social forestry businesses based on green economy and citizens. Clustering analysis can use machine learning methods. Some of these methods are K-Means and K-Medoids. First, the research data was obtained from the assessment results of forest edge residents. Residents assessed 13 green economy variables. The social forestry business development model based on green economy and citizens requires labeled data. Therefore, this study compares the performance of K-Means and K-Medoids to cluster the assessment data of forest edge residents. To determine its performance, this study uses three variations of k values, namely K = 4, K = 8, and K = 12. Performance testing uses the Davies Bouldin Index (DBI) method and computation time. Based on Davies Bouldin test, K-Means method is better than K-Medoids at K = 4, but K-Medoids method is better than K-Means at K = 8 and K = 12. Based on computation time test, K-Means method is better than K-Medoids. Based on this test, K-Means method is more suitable for big data and fast computing time.
