Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of change management within the school culture at TK RA Sunan Kalijaga. The school culture is implemented as an effort to shape students’ character from an early age through various positive habit-forming activities. Change management is implemented to create a school environment that is religious, disciplined, clean, and conducive to learning. The application of school culture is realized through activities such as the Dhuha prayer, group Quran recitation, daily prayers, voluntary Friday donations, “Clean Friday,” and handwashing habits. The principal and teachers serve as drivers and role models in the implementation of school culture, while parents support the habits practiced at home. In its implementation, there are several challenges, such as differences in students’ personalities, a lack of support from some parents, and limited facilities and infrastructure. To address these issues, the school conducts regular communication, outreach, and program evaluations. The results of the implementation show that the school culture has a positive impact on students’ character development, such as increased discipline, religious attitudes, social awareness, and habits of clean and healthy living.

Abstract

This article discusses the results of clinical supervision analysis at MI Sunan Kalijogo, Karangbesuki, Sukun, Malang, which aims to determine the implementation of clinical supervision in improving the quality of learning. This analysis was conducted using qualitative research methods with observation, interviews, and documentation approaches. Data were obtained through direct observation of the clinical supervision process at MI Sunan Kalijogo as well as interviews with the principal and supervised teachers. The results show that clinical supervision at MI Sunan Kalijogo is implemented through three stages: planning, implementation of learning observations, and evaluation and follow-up. In the planning stage, the principal coordinates with teachers regarding learning tools and aspects to be observed. In the implementation stage, supervisors observe classroom learning activities to identify the strengths and obstacles faced by teachers during the teaching and learning process. Furthermore, in the evaluation and follow-up stage, a joint discussion is held to evaluate, provide input, motivation, and solutions to learning problems. The implementation of clinical supervision has a positive impact on improving teacher competence, especially in classroom management, the use of learning methods, and interaction with students. However, the implementation of clinical supervision still faces challenges, such as inadequate use of learning media and a lack of interaction between some teachers and students. Therefore, clinical supervision needs to be carried out continuously to ensure the quality of learning in madrasas continues to improve.

Abstract

This study looks at how clinical supervision can affect teachers' performance and improve their teaching skills. It also examines the role of the school principal in this process, the challenges faced, and effective solutions at MA Daruttauhid. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the models used, the approaches taken, and the practices in the field. The method used in this study is qualitative, which includes observing and having direct interviews with research subjects like the school principal, teachers, and students. This study is also backed by a review of literature to provide comparison material, explore, and combine different scientific findings from the past. The findings and discussion show that the teachers at MA Daruttauhid believe that the clinical supervision they receive is very helpful in improving their teaching skills. Mereka tidak menganggapnya sebagai beban atau menakutkan. Therefore, the implementation of clinical supervision can greatly help improve the quality of teaching if it is managed well. This requires teamwork between external supervisors and the school principal, who acts as the internal supervisor. It also needs solution-focused leadership and motivated teachers who want to improve themselves

Abstract

This study explores the transformation of academic culture through the implementation of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at SMP Al-Hikmah International Islamic Boarding School Malang. The study aims to understand how IB influences students’ learning behaviors, teacher strategies, and the integration of local and Islamic values. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving semi-structured interviews with two students, a vice principal, and a technology teacher, as well as participatory observations and school documentation. Findings indicate that the IB program encourages self-managed learning, active student engagement, reflective thinking, and collaborative skills. Teachers adapt their teaching methods to facilitate student-centered learning, using flexible classroom arrangements, technology, and continuous guidance to support students’ autonomy. Integration of local Islamic values is applied through structured modules, religious discussions, and visual learning media. Collaboration with external institutions further strengthens students’ leadership, independence, and character development. Overall, the study demonstrates that combining international curriculum standards with local and religious values can create a learning culture that is independent, reflective, and adaptive, preparing students for global challenges. The findings provide practical insights for educational institutions seeking to implement international curricula while preserving cultural and religious identity, and suggest areas for future research on broader student populations and long-term outcomes.

Abstract

School culture is one of the key factors influencing the quality of education in an institution. This study aims to describe the role of school culture in bringing about educational change at Al Ghaffar Islamic Elementary School. The study employs a qualitative approach using observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate that SD Islam Al Ghaffar implements a school culture rooted in the Qur’an and moral values, manifested through daily religious practices such as mandatory morning recitation sessions, the recitation of the Asmaul Husna, collective istighfar, and qira’ah as the school’s distinctive feature. Additionally, the school has developed the Al Ghaffar Method as an internal approach to Quranic education, which has been adopted by 18 schools in the Malang region. A culture of discipline is enforced through a tiered intervention system involving homeroom teachers, the student affairs office, and the principal. The involvement of all stakeholder teachers, students, parents, and the community is key to the successful implementation of the school culture. These findings demonstrate that a consistent and structured school culture can foster sustainable educational change, shaping students into individuals who are religious, disciplined, and of noble character.
