<![CDATA[AbstractThis study aims to analyze the role of Betawi gastronomy as a regional cultural identity amidst the challenges of modernization and globalization and to identify factors that threaten the existence of traditional Betawi culinary arts. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques such as indepth interviews, participant observation and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that Betawi culinary arts have deep cultural values and play an important role in expressing the cultural identity of the Betawi people. However, this culinary arts are increasingly threatened with extinction due to lifestyle changes, globalization, urbanization and the lack of effective regeneration and preservation. Based on a SWOT analysis, the strength of Betawi culinary arts lies in the uniqueness of recipes and cultural heritage, while its weakness is limited documentation and effective promotion. The greatest opportunities lie in culinary tourism trends and digitalization of promotions, while the threats are the dominance of modern foods and the difficulty of obtaining traditional ingredients. The implication of this study is the importance of systematic and collaborative preservation policies to ensure the sustainability of Betawi gastronomy.Keywords: Betawi Gastronomy; Cultural Identity; Traditional Cuisine; SWOTAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran gastronomi khas Betawi sebagai identitas budaya daerah di tengah tantangan modernisasi dan globalisasi, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terancamnya eksistensi kuliner tradisional Betawi. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kuliner Betawi memiliki nilai budaya yang mendalam dan berperan penting dalam mengekspresikan identitas budaya masyarakat Betawi. Namun, kuliner ini semakin terancam punah akibat perubahan gaya hidup, globalisasi, urbanisasi dan kurangnya regenerasi serta pelestarian yang efektif. Berdasarkan analisis SWOT, kekuatan kuliner Betawi terletak pada keunikan resep dan warisan budaya, sementara kelemahannya adalah terbatasnya dokumentasi dan promosi yang efektif. Peluang terbesar terletak pada tren wisata kuliner dan digitalisasi promosi, sedangkan ancamannya berupa dominasi makanan modern dan kesulitan memperoleh bahan tradisional.
