Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of a baby's life is an important effort in improving the health and growth of the baby. However, the success of exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by various factors, one of which is family support. Emotional support, information, and practical assistance from the family can increase the mother's motivation to provide exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to analyze the effect of family support on the success of exclusive breastfeeding in primiparous mothers. The study used an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The study sample was 70 primiparous mothers with babies aged 0–6 months. Data were collected through interviews using a structured questionnaire. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The results showed that mothers who received good family support had a success rate of exclusive breastfeeding of 78.4%, while mothers with less family support only had a success rate of 41.2%. The results of the statistical test showed a p value = 0.012 (p < 0.05). It was concluded that family support has a significant influence on the success of exclusive breastfeeding in primiparous mothers.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Gestational hypertension is a pregnancy complication that can increase the risk of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. Early detection of gestational hypertension is crucial to prevent the development of preeclampsia and other pregnancy complications. One screening method that can be used is the Roll Over Test ( ROT) , which is performed at approximately 28–32 weeks of gestation. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of routine Roll Over Tests at 32 weeks of gestation in early detection of gestational hypertension in pregnant women in the third trimester . The study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive analytical design. The sample consisted of 40 pregnant women in their third trimester undergoing antenatal care. Data were collected through blood pressure measurements using the Rolling Test method and observations of pregnancy conditions. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Chi- Square test . The results showed that 30% of respondents had a positive Rollover Test result. The analysis showed a significant association between a positive Rollover Test result and the incidence of gestational hypertension (p = 0.003). Routine check-ups at 32 weeks of gestation can help identify pregnant women at risk of developing gestational hypertension early . Abstract

Gentle labor (Birth) is a birth approach that emphasizes comfort, calm, and a positive experience for both mother and baby. Relaxation and music therapy are non-pharmacological interventions that can help mothers reduce anxiety and pain during labor. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of relaxation and music methods on the experience of gentle labor in mothers. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest - posttest approach. The study sample was 50 mothers who gave birth, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The intervention, in the form of relaxation exercises and music therapy, was given during the active labor phase. Data were collected using a childbirth experience questionnaire and a pain scale. Data analysis used paired t- test and chi-square tests. The results showed that mothers who received relaxation and music interventions had a higher level of labor comfort and lower pain intensity compared to before the intervention (p = 0.015). It was concluded that relaxation and music methods are effective in supporting a gentle labor experience.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) remain a significant public health problem among adolescents. Lack of knowledge regarding reproductive health often contributes to risky behaviors that increase the likelihood of STI transmission. This study aimed to determine the relationship between adolescents’ knowledge of reproductive health and their behavior in preventing sexually transmitted infections. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive analytic design and a cross-sectional method. The sample consisted of 40 adolescents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using questionnaires related to reproductive health knowledge and STI prevention behavior. Data analysis was conducted using univariate analysis and Chi-Square statistical tests. The results showed that most adolescents had a moderate level of reproductive health knowledge. Adolescents with good knowledge tended to demonstrate better preventive behaviors against sexually transmitted infections. Statistical analysis showed a p-value of 0.002 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant relationship between adolescents’ knowledge of reproductive health and their behavior in preventing sexually transmitted infections. In conclusion, adolescents’ knowledge of reproductive health is significantly related to preventive behaviors against sexually transmitted infections. Therefore, health education and reproductive health promotion among adolescents need to be improved to reduce the risk of STI transmission. Abstract

ABSTRACT The availability of health facilities and infrastructure is a crucial factor supporting the success of midwifery services. In remote areas such as Elelim District , Yalimo Regency , Papua Mountains, limited health facilities remain a challenge in the implementation of midwifery care. This situation has the potential to impact midwives' performance in providing optimal services to the community. This study aims to analyze the impact of limited facilities and infrastructure on midwives' performance in implementing midwifery care at the Elelim Community Health Center . The study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive analytical design using a cross-sectional method . The study sample consisted of 35 midwives working at the Elelim Community Health Center and the health service network in the Elelim District area . Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis was performed using the Chi- Square test . The results showed that 68.6% of respondents assessed that facilities and infrastructure were still limited, while 62.9% of midwives' performance was considered adequate. The analysis revealed a significant relationship between the availability of facilities and infrastructure and midwife performance (p = 0.001).
