Abstract

Rice farming has received significant attention from the government, which aims to increase production. Problems that often occur in agriculture, especially rice farming, are unstable production and price uncertainty during the harvest season. Efforts have been made to minimize negative impacts economically and environmentally. One of the efforts made is by using MSP (Let's Prosper Farmers) rice varieties that have been certified as superior varieties. Economic perspectives and environmental awareness are important parts of agricultural sustainability. Sustainable agriculture, in addition to being profit-oriented, must also maintain the condition of the surrounding environment. North Kotabumi District is an area that has used the MSP rice variety. This study is expected to provide input and contribution to formulating appropriate strategies and policies to create a sustainable rice farming system, which is not only economically profitable but also environmentally friendly. The study was conducted in Talang Jali, Madukoro, and Wonomarto Villages in North Kotabumi District, North Lampung Regency. A total of 32 farmers became research respondents. The data collection technique used an interview technique using a Likert scale. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive. As many as 53.12% of farmers have a moderate category towards economic views in the use of MSP rice varieties. Farmers' environmental awareness is included in the high category with 59.37% of farmers having a positive perception of the environment.

Abstract

The increase in coffee prices in 2024 is an opportunity for farmers to earn more income. Coffee farmers in Sukananti Village generally cultivate coffee monoculture. Monoculture planting patterns can provide higher incomes because farmers will be more focused on crops with monoculture patterns. The novelty and focus of the research conducted are to examine the income of coffee farmers with a monoculture system when coffee prices increase significantly in 2024. The study aims to determine the income and feasibility of robusta coffee farming in Sukananti Village, Way Tenong District, West Lampung Regency, after the price increase that occurred in 2024. The sample or respondents used in this study were 25% of the population of robusta coffee farmers, namely, 73 robusta coffee farmer respondents. The sample determination was carried out using the simple random sampling method or a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis used the structure of income and costs in farming. The results showed that income from coffee farming was Rp. 57,679,892.83 with a net income of Rp. 49,481,482.37. Per hectare/season/year. R/C ratio analysis based on cash costs and total costs of robusta coffee farming per hectare/year/season in Sukananti Village, Way Tenong District, West Lampung Regency, is valued at 13.74 and 7.04, where the value is > 1. This indicates that robusta coffee farming is very feasible to run.

Abstract

The problem faced by BUMDes Sawojajar is that all financial transactions have not been recorded accurately. This causes the cassava stall business to be recorded as experiencing losses, due to inaccurate financial records. The income obtained cannot be known, because the recording and the physical money are not the same. In relation to the above problems, it is necessary to hold a simple financial recording training activity for small businesses. The training activity aims to make it easier for BUMDes to record financial transactions carried out, so that it will make it easier for BUMDes to calculate the income obtained and assets owned. This training activity uses the method The method used is the socialization and discussion method. This activity was carried out at the Sawojajar Village Office, North Kotabumi District, North Lampung Regency, on November 13, 2024. The stages of the training activity for making simple financial records for BUMDes, began with providing material on various transactions that usually occur in cassava stall businesses. Then a question and answer session was held regarding the real obstacles that occurred when recording finances. The simple financial recording training activity for BUMDes received a good response from BUMDes managers and Sawojajar Village officials. The training participants were enthusiastic in participating in the training activities. This can be measured from the activeness of participants when interacting during the activity.
