Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakter kepedulian sosial siswa melalui penggunaan metode Service Learning dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTs Ahliyah 1 Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pra-eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 22 siswa kelas VII. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen angket dirancang untuk mengukur karakter kepedulian sosial siswa berdasarkan beberapa indikator, yaitu kesopanan dan sikap hormat terhadap orang lain, kepedulian dan kesediaan membantu teman, partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan sosial di sekolah, kemampuan bekerja sama dalam kelompok, menjaga kebersihan lingkungan sekolah, serta kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah secara damai. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Service Learning memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap karakter kepedulian sosial siswa, dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 85. Analisis statistik menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,001 < 0,05, yang berarti bahwa metode Service Learning berkontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan karakter kepedulian sosial siswa pada pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Service Learning efektif dalam menumbuhkan karakter kepedulian sosial siswa pada tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Kata kunci: Service Learning; karakter kepedulian sosial; Akidah Akhlak Abstract This study seeks to analyze students’ social care character through the use of the Service Learning method in Akidah Akhlak learning at MTs Ahliyah 1 Palembang. The research utilized a quantitative method based on a pre-experimental design. The participants in this research were 22 seventh-grade students. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The questionnaire instrument was designed to measure students’ social care character based on the following indicators: politeness and respect for others, caring and willingness to help peers, active participation in social activities at school, ability to cooperate in groups, maintaining school environmental cleanliness, and the ability to resolve problems peacefully. The data were analyzed through statistical data analysis utilizing SPSS software. The study demonstrated that the implementation from the Service Learning method produced a statistically significant impact on students’ social care character, with an average score of 85. Statistical analysis indicated a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05, demonstrating that the Service Learning method contributes positively to the enhancement of students’ social care character in Akidah Akhlak learning. Therefore, it may be inferred of the Service Learning method is effective in fostering students’ social care character at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level.
