Abstract

Urbanisasi di Kecamatan Medan Amplas terus meningkat seiring pertumbuhan penduduk dan aktivitas ekonomi. Fenomena ini memberi dampak positif pada perkembangan sosial ekonomi, namun juga menimbulkan masalah lingkungan seperti kepadatan organisasi, berkurangnya ruang hijau, dan masalah kebersihan serta drainase. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dampak urbanisasi terhadap kualitas organisasi serta identifikasi langkah menuju kota berkelanjutan di Medan Amplas. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara dan observasi lapangan di kawasan padat penduduk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa urbanisasi tanpa perencanaan tata ruang berkelanjutan menurunkan kualitas lingkungan organisasi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kolaborasi antara pemerintah dan masyarakat dalam penerapan konsep pembangunan kota berkelanjutan melalui penyediaan ruang hijau, pengelolaan sampah terpadu, dan peningkatan kesadaran lingkungan warga.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the role of academic ethics in shaping student character and improving the quality of education in higher education institutions. Academic ethics are important guidelines in creating honest, disciplined, responsible, and professional academic behavior within the higher education environment. The development of digital technology and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education have also created various new challenges, such as plagiarism, task manipulation, and misuse of technology in the learning process. Therefore, the implementation of academic ethics is very important in shaping student character and maintaining the quality of education. This study uses a qualitative research method with a library research approach. Data were obtained from various scientific journals, articles, and reliable references related to academic ethics, student character building, and the quality of education in higher education institutions. The data were analyzed descriptively to gain an understanding of the relationship between academic ethics, character building, and the quality of student education. The results of the study indicate that academic ethics have a significant influence on the formation of student character, such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, integrity, and professionalism. In addition, the implementation of academic ethics is also able to create a healthy learning culture and improve the quality of student education. On the other hand, low awareness of academic ethics can lead to various academic violations such as plagiarism, cheating, task manipulation, and misuse of digital technology and AI. Therefore, higher education institutions need to strengthen the implementation of academic ethics so that students are able to use technology wisely and become qualified graduates with integrity. Abstract

This study examines the ways in which digitalization has contributed to the increased competitiveness of MSMEs in Medan City, in light of legislative measures imposed by the Medan City Government. Based on the facts that micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) have been forced to undertake digital changes due to the pandemic, this study examines the importance in digitalization as a strategy for MSMEs in this era of the digital economy. Small, medium, and micro-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Medan City may benefit from the city government's digitization initiatives, which is why this study seeks to investigate them. The method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which involves looking at academic articles and secondary materials about the digitalization of MSMEs in Medan City. The research found that digitization has various benefits for MSMEs, such as increasing their competitiveness, streamlining their operations, and accessing new markets. Mentorship applications, training, and the incorporation of micro, small, and medium companies (MSMEs) in online platforms or local e-Catalogs are examples of digitalization-supportive policies implemented by the Medan City Government that have been essential in achieving success. The results of this research highlight the importance of partnerships between government departments, MSMEs, and other stakeholders in improving MSMEs' digital skills so that they can compete globally.
